  1. Allen and Beasley are probably the Bills most well known players.
  2. I pop in from time to time for a little perspective and to see what topics are on other fans' minds but I generally don't have the time to reply, chat, or engage. Good to see that guys like you and the Panda are still here - hope you are well!
  3. Hit me up when it turns 21 so I can buy it a drink. (Happy birthday, TSW!)
  4. I liked your write up. Maybe consider submitting your articles through the link at the bottom of the TBD main page. In the meantime, are you on Twitter? That might be qa good way to get your work read if you are unable to do it via TBD.
  5. I had my knee scoped a couple days prior and was laid up on the couch totally wasted on pain killers. Thank God.
  6. As OP asked for favorites, I knew I'd have a tough time getting down to one but I didn't expect to get stuck at seven. Jim Braxton Lou Piccone Bobby Chandler Shane Conlan Leonard Smith Mario Clark Reuben "Stone Hands" Gant Guessing we're close to the same age because a lot of those names popped in to my head too. As an aside, I thought Lucius Sanford had the coolest name in the league!
  7. I'd rather not be disrespectful of the anthem by using it as a taunt.
  8. Character issues? That's a stetch. Even the complainant testified it wasn't Hunter who broke his jaw. Most locals believe it was just another case of VBPD's 2nd precinct targeting the biggest fish at the ocean front (as they are prone to do). Hunter does not have the reputation of being a trouble maker or having character issues here in his hometown.
  9. Same. (And how ya' been JSP?!)
  10. Methinks you might be confusing hurt with injure. I learned the difference from a hockey coach when I was a kid. Paraphrased, every time you make contact, you do it with intent to hurt. You want him to feel it and to be sore from it. You hit him hard and he's going to be thinking about you next time you're on the ice with him. But never hit with intent to injure - that's a different thing all together. And if you don't believe that 100% of NFL players target an opponent's hurt or sore arm, shoulder, wrist, etc, you may be incredibly naive.
  11. Things were much more grim in the mid-80s than they are now - fans and media gave up on the team before preseason games started. There was no realistic expectation they would finish above .500 and in '85 nobody was shocked when they posted a second consecutive 2-14 record. Rich held 82,000 people and while I don't recall exact numbers, it seemed half full at best. - and half of the people that were there rooted for the visiting team. So yeah, it's been worse IMO.
  12. Regardless of who the commissioner is, he will be criticized by hyperbolic fans. I'm not sure it really matters whose name it is on the office door.
  13. Agreed. And it looks pretty strange to see it in print. IIRC, I think he was kind of laughing/chuckling when he said it.
