This game really confirmed to me how stubborn McDermott and Babich are in their defensive strategy . Weaver from Miami literally gave them the blueprint a few weeks ago on how to stop the rams by sending pressure and playing a lot of man. And bills literally did the opposite of that. Sat in their soft zone coverage for the majority of the time, and then when they did blitz? it was so predictable and obvious as stafford/Mcvay were a step ahead of them

Yep- although I think the blueprint has been out on how to shred this defence for a while. Bills want you to go 10-12 plays and be perfect. If teams stay committed to the run and quarterbacks understand zone coverage and stay patient, it's a very simple defence to shred

Im not saying fire him. But saying it's not the head coaches fault when his defence gives up over 40 and he completely botched the game management at the end doesn't make much sense to me. That L is on him , Babich and yes the defensive players of course

I know- so frustrating. I was very critical of Babich before the KC game. Then after that game I said that was his best game called of the year. Then he goes back to his passive zone defence and gets shredded by stafford. Makes no sense

Yep. You have to pressure and play man coverage against stafford. Especially man coverage. And the Bills literally did the opposite for the most part because they just continue to run their zone defence

I think it's just PTSD for a lot of us on how the bills lost. Can't stop a good QB/good player caller. If the bills lost like 24-21, it would be more casual for me. But defence sitting in soft zone, getting 0 pass rush and getting gashed all game long just reminds of every single playoff loss

The sneak/timeout is beyond inexcusable. You have to pass it there. If you do decide to sneak for some reason, you need a play ready to go if you don't get the TD How many years now and this guy still cannot figure out game management in crucial times. It's not even complicated stuff that he continues to mess up

Yep. Good QBs/OCs shred this defence cause it's so predictable and easy. If they want to rush 4 I can even live with that, but just 0 simulated pressures which doesn't help the D line out at all.

Ya fair. I can live with the bills defence giving up points and plays. I Just hate how they play schematically. 38-22 time of possession for the rams today- That's what happens a lot when you play bend but don't break, keeps the mvp on the sidelines as well

Watching the Chiefs game- this is how you play defence. Stop the run, play man coverage, send pressure on the QB. Not sit on your arse and play soft zone coverage and hope a team makes a mistake while chewing up 7 minute drives
