He is not a bad QB. Career record over .500 with some pretty bad talent/ coaching around him.
17.5 Mil is not that much money for a QB. Just ask Andy Dalton, Mike Glennon, Ryan Tannehill.
I don't think anyone will trade anything for him because they know the Bills want to move on from him. and will release him
But I'm almost certain he will be a starter in this league next year
Doubtful. At most a late round pick but that's very unlikely.
The writing is on the wall that the Bills want to move on from TT, so cutting him in the offseason seems very likely
I don't expect him to be good. He is going on the road against one of the top pass defences in the NFL, with some elite pass rushers in Bosa and Ingram.
I would be surprised if he played well under those circumstances
Ya makes sense. I never said they wont try to confuse them, I just meant it usually doesn't work out too well so that's why coaches usually keep it to a minimum .
Best way to beat great QBS? Play tight man coverage and get pass rush with 4 guys. Obviously easier said than done
It is pretty difficult to try and confuse good QBS. If you try to confuse them and they don't get fooled, that generally means you have a mismatch somewhere. (lineman dropping into coverage, rolling safeties around, etc.) And a good QB will expose those mismatches
Just looked at his numbers, seems like they are pretty average when it comes to throwing flags this year.
To your point though, he called a lot of penalties last year. We'll see what happens
Haha Fair enough. But at the same time the Packers have been to what, 2 out of the past 3 NFC championship games?
And they were an onside kick recovery away from going to the Superbowl that year.
You know better than I do as you're a Green Bay fan, but I just feel if Rodgers is healthy then they are always a threat to win the Superbowl
Weird I literally thought the same thing the other day that the game against the Packers was almost 3 years ago. Time does indeed fly.
I believe the Bills play the Packers next year then?
I agree with you on that. If the Bills miss the playoffs this year I hope they just lose out so they can get a high draft pick to get their guy. And then like you said, spend a lot of the remaining picks on that front 7
Always an option, but of course they are older and will cost more money which isn't necessarily ideal.
Generally you want to build in the draft and add 1 or 2 missing pieces in free agency. And the Bills have a lot of missing pieces in their front 7 which makes it very expensive to sign them
I hope this guy is gone. I cant stand his vanilla/predictable play calling.
I guess he has a chance to prove me wrong with a QB (Peterman) that fits his system better
Very well said and I agree 100 percent with everything
Why does that matter?.... My point was, 7 points came from a defensive TD, and the other 7 came from a garbage time TD. That is inarguable
Like i said, 17 real points. And the game before that was what, 7?
31 points- 7 from a defensive TD, 7 in garbage time. So basically 17 real points. Anyone who watched that game knew their offence was terrible. They scored 2 long tds on, one busted coverage by the Jets, and one a 85 yard play from Goodwin. (That was a nice play I will give them that)
And no it didn't get them in the playoffs but that doesn't mean there wasn't an offensive improvement.
Not getting in the playoffs mayyyyy had something to do with losing to the Dolphins twice and giving up 450 yards combined to Ajayi....
