I don't think anyone is justifying TTs inconsistent play throughout the year.
Its a stat simply to show that TT isn't the only problem on this offence.
The QB play wasn't good enough. Offensive coordinator wasn't good enough. O line wasn't good enough for the most part.
And in this case, it shows the WRS aren't good enough.
Is anyone actually arguing that the Bills receivers were good this year?
Fair enough, no disagreements on how bad the interior of the line was.
But at the same time, a Defensive ends job is not to run by the QB and lose contain lol
I was more referring on passing plays.
Seemed like he ran by the QB a lot of the time, opening up a huge lane for the QB to either run or step up and throw.
I could be wrong, it just seemed like he did that pretty frequently though
I will already give you his/ the excuses.
"It's part of the process to see if Taylor can throw in an NFL offence".
That is such a lame excuse.
I would have maybe bought that if the Bills were tanking and they wanted to see if TT could succeed in that type of offence.
But when they are in the playoffs and need to win games, its inexcusable to justify Dennison's schemes/play calling
Thank you. People always say his scheme works. Maybe 5-10 years ago but not anymore
Now I wouldn't say as far as 1980s, as Kubiak has had success with it in the late 2000s, but either way its 5-10 years out of date in today's NFL
I think there are many reasons to say Mcvay fixed Goff
1. Goff was horrendous last year, and people were already calling him a bust
2. Mcvay is a quarterback wizard. (Just look at what Cousins said about Mcvay as well)
3. Mcvay calls the plays at the line for Goff. He scans the defence and tells Goff what correct play to call before the head set shuts off
4. He helped bring in playmakers for Goff as well
You are correct, let me clarify what I meant.
Whst I meant to say was he’s a solid 2 on a good team.
I don’t think he’s good enough to be the number 1 on a dynamic offence, but he could be a number 1 on a mediocre to bad team
While I agree with most of what you said, I definitely don't think he's a number 3 receiver.
I would put him more as a solid 2 receiver, but not a number 1
1. Find a FA veteran QB to bridge this team successfully
2. Fire Rico
3. Address right side of o line
4. Zay and Benjamin need to step up, and also should be looking to add another receiver
5. Re sign gaines
6. Add 2 impact players on that front 7
You are 100 percent right.
He isn't awful but yes they do need him gone and need an upgrade.
23-21 in 3 years, with bad coaching and bad defences for 2 out of those 3 years. (Also not a lot of talent on those Bills teams as a whole)
I'm still mind boggled how that is the definition of "awful" for some people
