Ok fair enough buddy. So the honest answer is I was too young to watch Kelly play. I was born in 1990 so I didn't really remember him or his personality. I did have the privilege of sitting beside him watching a bills game in 2005 I think it was. And he was nothing but pure class to me, so it's hard for me to talk bad about his character. But in saying that- I am aware of the reports that he was a jerk on and off the field. I was honestly just too remember to witness any of it

No you're right about that in a way, as they went through a brutal stretch of giving up 3rd and longs in 2022. But ya overall they were an elite defence on 3rd downs the last 3 years before 2024

Respectfully, that's just not correct. 2021 and 2022 they were number 1 in the nfl on 3rd downs . 2023 they were 12th, and last year under Babich they were 30th.

I'll definitely be one of those people myself. To me he's got 6-8 weeks to show what he's got. If it's still the same issues as last year, got to move on and go to Nielsen

The only thing I really look at is D line vs O line on 1 on 1 matchups. Would have liked to see more 1 on 1 wins on the D line, (there were a few for sure) but ya can't take too much from the scheming and whatnot

Interesting you say that as I actually thought it was a pretty entertaining game. Maybe it's just me though, as I'm Canadian and have been watching the CFL all summer. So this seemed like the Super Bowl compared to some of those cfl games

Biggest concern this year is still 3rd down defence. Babich has the horses now as Beane invested heavily in the draft- But can he get it done? If it were up to me he should have be been fired after last season, but I think his seat is going to be warm with an experienced coordinator in Nielsen behind him

And the video of himself going into the stadium like he's LeBron James last night? If you like that arrogant, self centred cockiness, you do you. And seriously, no judgement. But not me. The two darlings of training camp were bayar and Edwards on the O line. Edwards gives up a sack on the first drive and Bayar messes up the snap. Love training camp, but this is why it's hard to take too much from it

Solomon playing in the 4th isn't great for him. I think he makes the team with the suspensions on the D line, but might be tough to crack a game day jersey when those guys return

It took McDermott about 10 games in 2023 to fio on defence. But if you remember after the game against Philly, their defence was playing at an insane level down the stretch
