  1. Yep a lot of parallels for sure. Diggs did tear his acl in October and Beckham tore his in February, that would be the only difference So he will have about 4 months more recovery on his side. (But to your point, I don't think he will Be ready for the start of the season)
  2. Ya most likely as the cap is going up. I do hope they sign him to that extension you said- As it's only gonna get more expensive
  3. Stingleys deal was announced as 3 years 90 mil- But those are agent numbers- it's actually 5 years , 113 mil. (22.6 a year) As it's spread through his 4th year and 5th year option. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/derek-stingley-jr-s-new-contract-will-be-five-years-113-million He won't make more than Stingley IMO
  4. Do you like the shout podcast? Overall I think it's pretty solid. Ryan Talbot doesn't do much for me as I think he's just "ok". But Matt Parrino is really good IMO
  5. Fair enough. If it is a CB4 signing, then I'm good with it. If it's a CB3/compete for a starting job with the rookie, then I got a big issue haha. We’ll agree to disagree though. Just different opinions on Dane is what it comes down to. I Appreciate the respectful conversation👍
  6. Ya I would agree with that. But I would feel a lot more comfortable having those guys as an insurance option, opposed to Dane Jackson. Cause CB3 on every team in the nfl will be playing at some point, as injuries happen a lot at the CB position
  7. Respectfully, you're incorrect saying Dane is the same as the players I listed and I'm not even trying to be a jerk by saying this. It's not even close. Don't take my word for it, just look at the stats I do disagree with Dane as the CB3. Injuries happen a ton in the nfl and unfortunately benford is a bit injury prone. I don't want to live in a world where Dane is one snap away from playing in big games. It's all good and we can agree to disagree on what we think about Dane. But I think drafting a rookie and then having Dane as your CB3 and/or competing for CB2 is a disaster waiting to happen. (As we literally witnessed that last year in the safety position)
  8. How do you figure Dane has been average? His grades last year were some of the worst in football, and he got benched on one of the worst defences in the nfl, and then cut. In every imaginable way, he was a disaster last year. Elam and bishop were 1st and 2nd rounders drafted by Beane. And you're saying as a Super Bowl calibre team in josh Allen's prime, that you go all In on a rookie corner who's never played a down of nfl football in his life? And if it fails, you have Dane Jackson who was benched by maybe the worst defence in the nfl, to take the starting role?
  9. Fair. What I'm trying to say overall: Dane is fine if he's the CB4. But if they go into the season planning for him as the CB3- And they draft a rookie assuming he will be CB2, and/or competes with Dane for the starting job, Then it's a massive failure. Bring in a quality vet that's not going to cost you a ton like the names I listed above- Let him compete with the rookie, and have Dane as CB4. If they do that, then I promise you I'll shut up lol
  10. Shaq Griffin, Witherspoon, Kendall Fuller. Way better options than Dane. Ya they are looking to draft CB2, doesn't mean it's going to work out does it? We drafted Cole bishop to be the starting safety last year and he got beat out by Damar Hamlin... 🤢 You want to live in a world that if the rookie corner doesn't pan out, that you have Dane Jackson starting on a Super Bowl calibre team?
  11. There's so many things you're misquoting me on.. 1. I said I fully expect the bills to draft a corner with one of their first 3 picks 2. I said he would be inserted into the starting line up if there was an injury. As I'm predicting they want him to be CB3. (Personally, I hope it's CB4) And No I don't want a world where Dane Jackson is competing for a starting CB2 job lol. We know the player he is. If he wins or even has a chance to win the CB2 job, then it's an absolute failure by Beane addressing the corner back position If he's CB4? Fine. If he's CB3? Not good enough
  12. I mean- He basically signed a 1 year 4.1 million dollar deal with Carolina in the prime of his career. That's a very modest contract for a corner , and that's barely even starting corner money. I do think he's a below average corner, and I can almost guarantee the contract he just signed with the Bills will reflect that. If he's the 4th corner, fine. But if it ends up being him and a rookie competing for the starting job (which I think it will be), then no I'm not thrilled at all with it
  13. I'm 100 percent relaxed bud lol. Dane will most likely be in competition for a starting role with a corner they draft in one of their first 3 picks. You're in disagreement with that?
  14. The Hoecht one is even more bizarre to me . Its like ok, you know he has a suspension coming. Who the hell is even coming close to paying him the contract he got? What a joke
  15. So what's the dead cap if we cut them both... 😅
  16. I would respectfully disagree. He did "fine". But we know who he is. If somehow he starts, Or he has to play because of injury which is very probable at some point, We are getting a mediocre player inserted in the lineup I would rather someone with some upside/traits personally. (Not Elam though lol)
  17. Not a fan of this at all. Not that he's horrible- Just wanted someone else as Dane has a lot of limitations . The rookie they draft better be good lol
  18. This should net us a nice comp pick. Can't see a world where he makes under 20 mil
  19. Nick by a wide margin. Nick is a top 5, (probably even top 3) pass rusher in the game.
  20. I'm not saying that as I was giving an extreme example- My point is teams start to get in trouble with the cap when you start to restructure older players who can't produce at the same level. (Bills went through it last year, Miami now, SF etc)
  21. You didn't fully read what I wrote. I said you should only restructure guys you know will be on the team for multiple years (He will be) AND can provide the same high level of impact. You think he will still be elite at 32-33? Pretty big gamble my friend
  22. Not one bit. I said restructuring mahomes made sense, didn't I? Chris jones is risky. Hes turning 31. That cap hit is going to balloon. If he doesn't play at a pro bowl level , thats gonna screw them big time over the next few years. You should only restructure deals for guys you know will be on the team for multiple years and can provide the same high impact. Chris jones is a gamble with his age
  23. Ya he did say he would help the run defence.
