Hahaha. Frazier is better than Babich, but his defences always collapsed against good teams in the playoffs. I wish McDermott was still the DC. I thought post eagles game last year, he had that defence playing amazing.

Broncos, Ravens, Chiefs - Can the Bills run through this gauntlet.
BillsFan130 replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cinci is in big trouble. First off they got to beat Denver and Pittsburgh, won't be easy to do. Then they got to hope Denver loses against most likely KCs backups. Then they got to hope the colts lose to either the giants or jags. And then they got to hope for Miami to lose to the browns or jets. They would need a mini miracle to get in -
Week 17, NJ Jest v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
BillsFan130 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
27-17 Bills! -
100 percent true. Unfortunately they do get the benefit of the doubt in the regular season though as they are the back to back champs
-
The games I mentioned were losses. KC hasn't had that this year as their only loss has came to the bills. I don't necessarily even disagree with you. But Bills do seem to have one letdown every year where they lose to a 7 point ➕underdog
-
This year they have been solid against bad teams outside the NE game, but I think the PtSD is from years past against bad teams and letting one slip away. 2021- Urban Meyers Jags 2022- Zack Wilson's Jets 2023- Zack Wilson's Jets and Russell Wilson's Broncos

Yep. I don't know why people even doubted the chiefs. It's the Same story every time Like we do this every single year where everyone writes them off, and then they end up winning the SB. Can anyone who writes off the chiefs cause they look bad for a stretch of games in the regular season finally learn their lesson.. lol. They will always be the team to beat , until someone knocks them off in the playoffs
-
Yep. And Spector has barely played this year. Blaming our poor defence on the 4th linebacker on the depth chart who has played minimal snaps this year just wasn't a good argument IMO

Anyone else fired up for a 1 PM start? Last game was November 10th against Indi which seems like forever ago

Von Miller proves the doubters wrong

And the Josh Allen one. Still can't believe he passed on Josh Rosen -
The good news is the bills are notorious for getting off to awesome starts all year long..😉

Spencer Brown deserves his own thread.

Spector is as well -
Will He Reinvent Himself: Coach Sean McDermott
BillsFan130 replied to waterglass's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is both. Scheme/poor play calling and lack of talent. When you give up back to back 40 point games and let almost 400 yards against NE the following week, it basically shows that the scheme/DC isn't good enough and the talent is also not good enough. Very rare it is one or the other -
Will He Reinvent Himself: Coach Sean McDermott

I don't like the bend but don't break personally, but it can work if you have a dominant front 4. Which the Bills don't have But I do agree- I would much rather an aggresive game plan and force the issue, opposed to waiting for teams to make a mistake -
My post was not just about this game. It's about the defence as a whole in 2024. Spector has barely played this season. And played exactly 0 defensive snaps against the rams 2 weeks ago when Sean Mcvay did laps around Babich and McDermott
-
I hear you but this is what I'll say: Game against the rams the argument was. "Rams were on a heater, there's nothing we could have done as they are unstoppable when they are healthy ". They have had 1 TD in two games since that bills game Then against Detroit the argument was: "Injuries and game script allowed Detroit to score a lot of points". To a certain degree yes, but 42 points given up is horrible in any circumstance and the offence needed to keep scoring or they would have lost And now I'm hearing the injury excuse from yesterday from others. We got to stop making excuses for this defence and call a spade a spade -The bills defence has been pathetic the last 3 weeks
-
This season you don't think he's been a big problem so far? Haha. Maybe I'll re name is "demote" Babich thread. Cause yes I do want McDermott to take control of the defence as I've seen enough from Bobby
-
Brutal
-
Do we even officially know why the hell Spector was playing at times? Haha I am assuming cause Dorian had the elbow injury and they wanted him on a pitch count?
-
Maybe. But do you watch the bills and think Hamlin and Rapp are the problem? I don't personally. Rapp has made some really huge plays and while I don't think Hamlin is a good starter, he's not a complete liability . I would almost rather Rapp/Hamlin this year than last years Hyde and poyer. A wash at the very least IMO

My take: If KC beats Pittsburgh on Wednesday…
BillsFan130 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
They can't yet as ravens would have to lose as well. (Which I don't see them losing to Houston) Beat the jets and then shut er down for week 18 -
Why is their defence way worse this year compared to years past? Sure, there's some different personnel. But that doesn't explain having the 7th best EPA in pass last year to the 6th worst this year
-
Just heard a stat on 550 that kind of backs up what I'm saying: Bills last year in EPA per pass under McDermott? 7th best This year? 6th worst... Yikes
-
It's great when it works, but can you rely on that 4 games in a row in the playoffs against good teams? We saw how bad this defence looks against the rams and lions when they don't get turnovers. (Only the 1 in 2 games combined)
