  1. fair points, but do you think it would be worth the investment to trade assets for most likely a one year rental who is pretty expensive for a backup QB? (In a tight capped team)
  2. Why do you think the bills would be interested out of curiosity? He would be a fairly expensive backup, and his 5th year option would kick in the following year. So would basically be a 1 year rental as an expensive back up
  3. You're definitely right that Samuel would get paid more than Shakir as of now. And I am definitely happy they added Samuel to the room as he's a good player. But hmm if someone told me I can only have one receiver for 2024, Samuel or Shakir.. I think I would have to say Shakir as I love the trajectory the kid is on. Glad we don't have to pick though as it's awesome to have both of them
  4. While he was disappointing, I think our expectations were in the wrong place with Sherfield. Last year he was playing "up to 1.7" mil or something like that. He was basically signed to be a special teams player/run blocker/WR 5 , so if we thought he was gonna be a difference maker on offence, I think we were being naive
  5. I almost wish the bills just re structured the full amount for Josh and just would have bit the bullet with Knox's contract this year so they can get out of this deal after this season. anyone know the post June cap savings if bills cut Knox next year?
  6. Agreed. He had one descent year when he caught a bunch of TDs in 2021 but that's it. How that warrants a 14 mil per year is beyond me
  7. Probably not- Allen i believe a year older, but diggs makes more money. Allen more injury prone mind you. I would guess a very similar compensation
  8. Problem for the Vikings is I don't think they get into the top 3. And if they miss out on the top 3 QBs, is it really worth trading a bunch of picks to get someone like McCarthy?
  9. I'm not a Gabe fan but he's got a point. Gabe had a lot of 50/50 contested deep balls where Samuel got more screens/short passes so of course Samuel's catch percentage will be better. Now in saying that, I still prefer Samuel as I like his skill set more than gabes
  10. Now draft one in the 1st or 2nd round (hopefully 1st) and should be set for receiver
  11. Yep! Can even say the same about James Cook
  12. Agreed. And they are already paying Oliver and jones pretty well Hard to imagine they pay good money to 3 DTs in a tight cap situation
  13. Agreed. I'm sure every team can say that as well. -Where they are projecting their younger guys to take a step forward. I def don't see the bills being better, but a long way to go until week 1 I guess
  14. Haha. Special teams player, WR5 is most likely what he's gonna be
  15. Probably the Trent sherfield role i would imagine.
  16. I like Gabe in terms of him seeming like a good guy, good work ethic etc and I'm happy he got paid. But I am also happy he signed elsewhere as I don't think he's dynamic enough to be a WR2 on a good offence
  17. They could have cleared 23 if I'm not mistaken?
  18. Fair, but with the bills cap situation, I would say it's extremely unlikely the bills are able to add an elite impact player in 2024
  19. Good for singletary. Great dude who works hard
  20. You can't have it both ways though... Burrow is obviously 10x better than Purdy/jimmy g, the QBs Aiyuk has had. If your argument is "chase needs his elite QB to get him his elite stats". What does that say about Aiyuk then, who put up big numbers this year with an average QB at best? You see my point?
  21. Chase for sure. Once again you're basing 2023 vs career.... In 2023 Aiyuk had a better year than chase. You really cannot argue otherwise
  22. To be honest I don't think he is elite in like a top 5 guy either, but he definitely deserved getting to the all pro team last year. Like he was def better than Adams and chase last year who are considered "elite" receivers. Agreed on thuney and Mcduffie
  23. Ok so now we are going to put other circumstances into it because you have no other thing to back up what you're saying? It's not 2022. Or 2021. Aiyuk was an absolute stud last year and was better than Jefferson (due to injury), chase and adams. I'm not gonna reply back unless you have any objective thing to state , opposed to your argument,"trust me bro".
  24. Ok let's compare to some of the guys you said last year. Jefferson- basically missed all season. Adams- Aiyuk had more yards/tds Chase- Aiyuk had more yards/tds. So once again- you are basing it off name recognition with absolutely 0 objectivity to back up what you're saying based on the 2023 nfl season.
