  1. I would go on to say there is 0 percent chance the bills draft a QB in round 1
  2. I'm 50/50 on if he can't or not. He is a good coach who needs to go over the hump. It took Andy Reid a long time to clean up his game management skills and get over true hump, so I'm definitely not ready to give up on him yet.
  3. Coaching for the most part. We all saw what happened that KC game. If MCD doesn't piss himself, they win that game and probably the SB. Now I am not saying McDermott is a bad coach, as overall I think he's a good coach. But he definitely had massive inexcusable blunders the last 13 seconds
  4. Ya fair points. Here is the tough part though. If Edmunds has another year where he doesn't grow, do you give him the extension and pay him 12-15 per year? I certainly don't
  5. It's definitely possible. My point is I think they want to see more from him before they give him a big extension. Historically under Beane though, he gives the "core" players contracts after year 3. Josh, Tre, Dawkins, Taron (a few games in year 4) Milano was an exception for sure.
  6. Yep exactly. Which is why they haven't given him an extension yet.
  7. Why are a lot of people acting like this is outrageous? He is back to back mvp and the cap is rising big time the next few years. 50 mil is about right for him
  8. This is true. I still think their pass rush is the wildcard though. Struggled last year IMO It will be up to basham, AJ and Greg. If they all rise, I like our chances. If not, it will be tough to beat the chiefs in the playoffs
  9. I think I would rather take a punch from Mike Tyson to the groin than rewatching that game
  10. Picked a few random linebackers out since you gave me the stat "12" impact plays based on the metrics we used. Edmunds in 17 games including the playoffs had 12. Logan wilson a 3rd round, 2nd year linebacker for the bengals in 16 games total had 22. So 10 more impact plays in 1 less game played as a guy who has been in the league for 2 years compared to Edmunds 4. Ya like I said. Edmunds is just not a playmaker relative to basically any starting linebacker in this league
  11. I think it's a little bit of both for sure
  12. Ok. And that ranks where amongst linebackers or how does that stack up against an average linebacker who played a full season? And now you aren't going to include forced fumbles or fumble recoveries? Cause he had a goose egg there so the math wouldn't change on that one for him , but it would on any other reasonable linebacker
  13. Where's your link for the stat you said to me?
  14. There's no different hill buddy. what's the context of those plays? How does that stack up against other linebackers? and if you have that stat handy in which you said 12, please send it my way and link it here
  15. My point is he makes little to no impact plays. 0 sacks. 1 INT. 7 tackles for loss. 0 forced fumbles. 0 fumble recoveries. That 100 percent reflects what I'm saying . I don't even know how it's humanly possible to play that many snaps in the middle of the defence and have those numbers
  16. 12?? LOL how in the world has he made 12 impact plays by the metrics I used? So him breaking up a 3rd down stop when they are up 30 points, I'm guessing that would count as one then?😂
  17. What game changing plays does Edmunds make? Besides going off the theory "he takes away the middle passing lanes", with absolutely no quantifiable number to it or anything to back that up. I am saying impact plays- like tackle for losses on 3rd/4th downs. Sacks. Interceptions. Forced fumbles. Fumble recoveries. Key 3rd or 4th down break ups. The only play I can ever remember him making that was impact, was a 4th down tipped pass against the Bucs.
  18. I don't think I pivoted as I addressed your point saying that I agree that everyone had a bad game against the chiefs. But was making the point on top of it that Edmunds never makes game changing plays and gave the example of the Micah Hyde. But ya fair enough, we'll agree to disagree on Edmunds
  19. They all had a bad game. But the "all pro" safeties also made game changing impact plays all season. Just look at Micah Hyde's play against New England in the playoffs. Edmunds does nothing well. You are allowed to have responsibilities and make plays outside of those responsibilities... just look at basically any good player on defence for any team lol. Edmunds is just straight up not that guy
  20. Yep. And he gets manipulated by the quarterbacks eyes so easy in the pass game. Mahomes just toys with him
  21. The stats show he is not an impact player at all and the eye test reflects that perfectly. Watch the KC game and look at Mahomes deceive him with his eyes all game long. Nothing to do with individual stats there. (Except for the fact he couldn't make a game impact play of course)
  22. 0 sacks. 0 forced fumbles. 0 fumble recoveries. 1 int. 7 tackles for loss. And gets toyed with by the Qbs eyes in the pass game. Ya no thanks on the extension.
  23. He's a good to very good QB, but ya he's not elite yet. But remember he's only in year 2 and missed over half his rookie year with his acl tear. He will be a force to reckon with in the AFC for a long time IMO
  24. Little bit of both. the media for sure, but his outfits walking into the stadium? He was begging for the "joe cool" attention.
