OCTOBER 19: Around the NFL, Week 7
BillsFan130 replied to Ridgewaycynic2013's topic in The Stadium Wall
Definitely looks like a concussion for Maye -
Ya cause Josh sending Beane a text "Dalton Kincaid ", gave no influence whatsoever on the pick right? lol. Like I said, you have your agenda, so believe whatever you want.
-
These are direct quotes by Brandon Beane... lol. There's nothing fluff about it. Believe whatever you want though, all good

You don't need to be on first hand terms with Josh, Beane or McDermott to know this my guy. Plenty of reports and articles that back this up https://www.nfl.com/news/bills-gm-brandon-beane-josh-allen-pretty-pumped-we-drafted-wr-keon-coleman https://billswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bills/2024/04/19/josh-allen-draft-day-text-brandon-beane-buffalo-bills-dalton-kincaid/73383438007/

Do you not know he was the primary reason they wanted Kincaid and Coleman?
-
Probably not since Landon jackson in 2025

The obsession with turning Josh Allen into a pocket QB
BillsFan130 replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I did mention the bills couldn't do the same thing now as 2021. But they over corrected in my opinion. You can still get big plays in the air. Just cause a team plays cover 2, quarters, or cover 3, it doesn't mean there aren't big plays to be had. (Just look at the bengals offence last year) Hell just look at the bills defence. We play a ton of soft zone and give up explosive play after explosive play lol -
The obsession with turning Josh Allen into a pocket QB

I hope so. I am not so sure we have the personnel at WR to air it out now though. This is the decision Beane/mcdermott/brady has made with this offensive philosophy, and we are kind of stuck with it now. -
Haha yep. Guy wants to be the "CEO" of the team, which is one of the reasons why he hasn't took play calling from Babich yet. But then he doesn't have the awareness to point something out like this during the game? I am still trying to figure out what McDermott actually does to elevate this team on game day

The obsession with turning Josh Allen into a pocket QB

Ya that's a fair point. But at the same time, the bills also do a ton of bubble screens to Shakir/Kincaid -
Why doesn't McDermott call the Defensive plays full time??
BillsFan130 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I never did hear McDermott took over the play calling in the 2nd half, but it would make sense given them playing better lol. Anyone know if that's true or not?^ -
The obsession with turning Josh Allen into a pocket QB
BillsFan130 replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok- And we killed our passing game by switching to running heavy. If you're asking me would I rather Andy Reid's play calling/scheme vs Joe Brady's, that's the easiest answer I've ever had to give Ya I remember that argument. I was never one of those people myself though as I always want the game in Josh's hands. They definitely did need a few more easy button throws. But like I said, I think they over corrected way too much -

Mahomes Vs Josh for passing attempts.. To elaborate on the point I said above, They have turned Josh into more or less a game manager. And I always said Josh needs at least 30 passing attempts per game. So I did some digging for his pass attempts this year vs Mahomes. Josh- 4/6 games has under 30 passing attempts per game. Mahomes only has 1, and that number was 29 in that game. We have a top 3 QB in the nfl and we build an offence for him to average like 26-28 pass attempts per game. It's just unacceptable in my opinion to build a running offence around maybe the best QB in the game. -

Yep. This is why I'm not sure how much of it is Joe Brady vs McDermott. Brady definitely deserves his fair share of blame for questionable and predictable play calls But I really wonder how this offence would like if he had free reigns. (Personnel and play calling) -

I will never understand the complete overhaul they did on offence after Daboll. They went from a heavy 11 personnel team who airs the ball all over the yard with talented recievers, to "ground and pound" with heavy packages, and little talent at the WR position. I get they had to change a bit as defences in the NFL have adjusted to a lot more 2 high shell.. But this drastic of a change when JA17 is the QB, and we are essentially making him a game manager? Never will understand it- 68 replies

This was my concern with the bills actually playing better in the 2nd half on defence lol. Almost wish it was just as bad as the first half, as that might have been the end of the line for Babich
-
His last game calling plays should have been against the rams last year when Sean Mcvay took his lunch money and danced circles around him for 60 minutes
-
This is Sean McDermotts defence. Any single person including draft picks and free agents brought on in the defensive side is on him. Their defence absolutely sucks now and is bottom 5 in the NFL so I am curious what to know he's actually maximized? Maybe how many claps per game? A defensive guru needs a first ballot hall of famer to succeed? Let's also get McDermott Micah parsons, Fred Warner and Stingley. Because it's so unrealistic asking our defensive head coach to have a good defence when almost every draft pick this year was on the defensive side, not too mention all the other wasted assets he/Beane brought in on the defensive side.
-
Pretty much the lone bright spot for today. He was an absolute animal
-
haha alright man I won't kill your optimism and hope if you actually think it's a possibility they win this year. Have a good night
-
I'm not yelling at you. In fact, I'm very calm. Just stating a very probable fact that this team is not going to win a Super Bowl this year under McDermott as they are flawed and are a poorly coached team. One Day you will realize that^
-
1. Fire Babich - That is the obvious one 2. Trade for a WR- it's so sad we are living in this world again Unfortunately those are really the only two things I think the bills can do that will move the needle a bit. It is a flawed roster with poor coaching
-
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Respectfully, you're living in La La land if you think this roster is winning a Super Bowl this year with McDermott
-
It's hard to say. Defence- I put mostly on McDermott as I strongly believe he has a big say on who he wants. Offence- Combination of Beane/Josh/Brady on who they bring in. Now the big question is- Who's decision is it to tie up all the resources to the defence and mostly neglect the offence..
