  1. Just because a team makes the playoffs does not make them top 12 in overall talent. Maybe I'm being a little hard on them, but I think Luck covers up quite a few holes for them.
  2. EJ has a much better chance at success under Roman, if we can't get anyone else to take the job from him. I have watched most of the 49ers games the past 3-4 years and I really liked what they put together offensively. This year was a bad year for them due to the circumstances.
  3. Rex will get us to that level. If Idzik had given him any talent these past couple year (Sheldon Richardson notwithstanding), the Jets would have at least split with the Pats.
  4. Rodgers really deserves another ring. I couldn't believe how well we did against him. That guy was the league MVP!
  5. I saw on Insiders that the Vikings are staying behind AP.
  6. My problem with this list in Indy at #7. They have 3 great players in Luck, Hilton and Davis. Mathis is good, but missed a year and is getting up there in age. Reggie Wayne is no longer a factor and they have no running game. No one else on their defense is formidable. Obviously, as we constantly discuss when this stuff comes up, an elite QB makes up for a lot. But as a whole roster, the Colts are pretty bad.
  7. The long awaited replacement for Mike Williams!
  8. Searcy (& Duke & AW) > Landry
  9. He saw it a few times. The language is maybe the issue. We gave Cleveland two, they gave us one. Net loss = 1 first round pick. Did we "give up" the 4th pick when we took Sammy? I don't think that's the correct word choice.
  10. Dang. Unexpected. But with Oliver and Larry Wilmore already leaving to anchor other shows, who becomes the host?
  11. Agreed. I don't see Iupati coming here.
  12. A definite upgrade. Like this move.
  13. Don't worry, you'll be able to reminisce with us eventually.
  14. I thought they called the PI when the defender tripped the receiver.
  15. So is she wearing a Colton Schmidt jersey now?
  16. The Patriots not only win championships, but they also win the division like every year. No other team does that, except maybe Green Bay. And Seattle has a chance now too.
  17. True, that receiver (Lockette, I think) could have made a play there. He certainly wasn't expecting the DB to make that break, but he basically blew Lockette off the ball.
  18. We played some little league baseball together. He was terrifying. I mean, he's a goober, but not on the field. Really wish he wasn't a Patriot.
  19. The Patriots were the more disciplined and well-rounded team. Wilson had to buy time and throw up a ton of jump balls. Their no-namers made some nice catches, but the offense never got into a rhythm, or so it felt to me. The Hawks' defense was compromised with that early injury to Lane and later to Avril. Brady took advantage. Meanwhile the Pats just did what they always do. Move the ball methodically, if unspectacularly, and play solid defense. The flukey catch became a wash with the pick at the end.
  20. The Patriots certainly looked more disciplined out there. And I would say that they were the more well-rounded team going into this matchup. Wilson bought a ton of time and threw up some jump balls, but their offense was otherwise handled very well. Brady did a good job exploiting that early injury and then played lights out in the 4th.
  21. Avril went down and stayed there, Edelman pretty much got right back up. That seemed to be the difference. Not saying he didn't have a concussion, but maybe they are just too fast and deceptive, you know...
  22. Well. I can tell you the traffic is frustrating.
  23. It's like they felt like they didn't deserve to win on a fluke catch.
