  1. CB depth is HUGE - no way Leo gets cut. Manny excelled under Pettine and I think he's in Rex's plans. Only guy I see getting the boot is Chris Williams.
  2. I love these TV shows of people talking on the phone. Yeah, I still very much enjoy the old group. Eisen knows his stuff and gives a great interview.
  3. I don't know, I love running the Engage Eight play in Madden.
  4. They have been saying this about the Fins for the past couple years now. They haven't put it all together yet and I don't think Philbin is the guy to do it.
  5. Me too. One thing I don't see mentioned too often is how EJ excels at play action, which would very important in our offense. I would love nothing more than to see EJ finally bloom for us, but I have my doubts (as we all do). If it isn't EJ, I lean toward Cassel. But I really have seen nothing from Tyrod. Don't really even remember his preseason work.
  6. I would prefer Blalock as well.
  7. Unless we wanted him to start and move Wood to guard, as some people keep calling for, no need. Urbik is staying and is a capable backup center.
  8. The three -year news makes me quite happy.
  9. I hope the contract ends up being a little different, like 2 years instead of one.
  10. Agreed. I'm betting it won't cost Duh money either.
  11. Patience, grasshopper? Maybe? Could be true, hope it's true. Love him on our team.
  12. $12 mil a year for this guy over the next two years? Seems like a lot, doesn't it?
  13. Wow. The replacement for Willis. He had a great season.
  14. The Jets have two great CBs, and OK safeties. Wouldn't call the whole secondary stellar. D-Line also deserves a mention.
  15. I won't speak to whether or not I think he can play CB. I will say that we don't have a pressing need at CB, but have found Hogan to be a reliable 4th receiver. Don't see the need to move him.
  16. The difference between Goodwin and any other guy like him is that he has truly world class speed. That extra gear he has on those go routs and that extra bit of separation are what makes him special. If we had a QB that could always deliver that throw, or I should say deliver any throw on the field, he would be a constant threat. Plus, he has shown he can run routes and catch. Durability is really the only issue. I get why they drafted him and not Wheaton, but it's a shame things haven't gone so smoothly.
  17. Lol. Quite right. But as far as red zone threats go, we could certainly use that bigger body. Hopefully we get one more TE (thinking Gresham) with some size. I'd like to see us get to the point where teams know we'll run it and we still move the ball. Perhaps getting Mathis in a trade will be the last piece we need. I think everything so far makes sense. As stated above, they had a plan, but of course not everything could go exactly the way they wanted. When a talent like Percy Harvin becomes available - you go and get him. That wasn't part of the plan, but it's taking advantage of an opportunity. The only things we still need are TE and OL help. I think we get Gresham and maybe look at another guy in the draft. I think we try a trade for Mathis and if that doesn't work, we look at Blalock or the draft. There is still plenty of time. And for what it's worth, Urbik was doing fine at G before Marrone came around, and I still wonder if his regression isn't St. Doug's fault.
  18. If he got to play at the end of the season, he probably would have gotten hurt more... I like him, but the guy's gotta have a hell of a TC this year.
  19. Pretty hilarious the Dallas is rolling with McFadden for now.
  20. Gotcha. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I don't know about him as WR depth. He looked good against 3rd team defenses two years ago.
  21. Move on to Gresham. Better than Chandler, if unspectacular.
  22. His talent is worth that, but we might as well have signed him for more than a year.
  23. My Pats fan friend says there is no way he or Chandler make the 53.
