  1. Love seeing the hard work! EJ has always had the arm, but he didn't throw a lot of bullets in-game. Confidence thing, maybe?
  2. No clue! But I am wondering about him too.
  3. Freddy nearly tore his groin from simply running last year. I don't trust him to shoulder the load. I love him as a leader and a guy who constantly defies expectations, but he is not LeSean McCoy. Unfortunately, neither was CJ.
  4. I get the feeling that Spikes has been in the plans the whole time, but has been waiting on the FO to get everything else in order first. His responses to some questions in NFLN gave me the impression that he was not looking for a job.
  5. Well this gives us a little cushion for extension talks.
  6. Worth mentioning the vote of confidence he gives EJ at that 39:50-ish spot.
  7. Why wouldn't he be re-signed? I imagine we would choose Woods over Harvin long-term.
  8. It was particularly memorable because he swung at the guy's head, where of course he was wearing a helmet.
  9. Have you seen some of the catches he has made?
  10. Yes, this is what I was talking about in regards to his mean streak needing to be controlled. I don't recall him having these sorts of issues last year, but I do think opening camp as #3 on the depth chart got him mad in a good way.
  11. I don't think Percy will take away Woods' snaps. Roman is extremely creative and will use all of these weapons in a variety of ways. To the point about Sammy going down early, I think early in the season his rib injury did indeed force him to go down right away. Don't think it was an issue later on.
  12. Woods is a polished route runner and has great hands. He has a serious mean streak that needs to be controlled, but seems to fuel him to ball hard out there too. I really like him on our team and think he will come up big for us,even with Harvin in the fold now. Plus, with coverage needed to key in on the bigger names out there, he will get seriously open out there. Kiko wasn't here last year and we were fine, nay, better. And he definitely hit a rookie wall, whether or not we wanted to admit it.
  13. And yes, as this is a recurring discussion, it is a possibility if both CK and Henderson step up. Seantrel had a terrible year, but great potential. I would feel much less comfortable with this plan for the first unit OL going into camp, but would be fine with this coming to fruition if they showed up big in camp.
  14. I think so. Although, if CK is working as hard as they are saying, I could see him replacing Seantrel. I will echo the sentiment that the line might not be in as bad a place as some are saying. If Urbik regressed due to coaching and his apparent lack of favor from Marrone, he can easily return to form. He was more than serviceable at RG under Gailey. I like to think that CK or Henderson can develop at RT too. It can be assumed that we will draft a guard and/or tackle again this year and one of these guys is bound to pan out. Maybe not top-10 line, but middle of the pack would be my projection.
  15. Absolutely. I remember when Dareus and Stevie had deaths in the family and their play was noticeably affected. Glad to hear the circumstances have turned for him and hope he is well and productive for us this year!
  16. But that two week stretch were the two weeks he started right?
  17. Yikers on Brown. Hope he is hard at work this offseason!
  18. I don't remember that happening so much the past two seasons. And again, CB depth is HUGE.
  19. No clue at this point. I think the defense is still stacked and if we re-sign Spikes (I get the feeling we might) we won't have to worry about LB at 50. DL and CB depth is strong, safeties will be fine.
  20. Thank you for bringing this thread back! I nailed it!
  21. We are still #1. If the Rams had Suh, I would pick them. Fairley makes them the best DL in the NFC.
