Seattle. Grew up in the Buffalo area but attended college in Reno. Kap made Nevada football fun to watch, no doubt, but not being there anymore I again have no interest. The quality of talent and gameplay is just not the same, and I don't particularly like how the rosters have to change so much from year to year. The identity of an NFL franchise is just much stronger, or at least it can be with the right ownership and management. The NFL is the best of the best and college is often noticeably more amateur. I understand why it's bigger in areas that don't have a strong NFL presence, and games are fun to attend, no doubt. I just don't feel the same connection.

Yes they do. He was part of the problem. I'd sign him to replace Wayne Hunter as the camp vet or whatever, but wouldn't count on him making the team.

The ambiguity of this rule is still bothersome, but is there a way around it? When Dez hit the ground, how was the ball not going to touch the ground at all? With his momentum, there really is no way to control the ball enough to satisfy the rule. He had two feet down, he had the ball, he held the ball... I don't know.

I agree. I don't like the highlight videos they have been putting that are just quick blips one after another. Tackles are especially not that fun to watch. A big hit, sure.

Same here. Loved watching him light it up while Shady was hurt and was excited to see we were going to give him a shot here. I don't know what his problem is, but for the amount of talent he has, there is no way he should have seen the field as little as he did if it wasn't at least a little his own fault.

I would hate to see this team let its best player leave. Think there is a very good chance he stays. Yeah, something like that.

Rivers isn't going to be available, but I'm curious to see what his extension is going to be worth.

I was never speaking from the perspective of Dez or his agent. But I was feeling grumpy about my own finances when I said that! Also, interesting that after the collusion report surfaced that Thomas and Bryant both signed similar contracts, at least in length and total value.

I agree. It's the sort of conversation most people wouldn't be able to have because their emotions or moral convictions wouldn't allow them to. Of course, an actual conviction for Hardy would make this a different discussion.

I get the point about Sammy not living up to his billing as the best receiver in the draft class. Sammy had a few so-so games, granted he was dealing with some injury and the QB debacle. Still, I think it's clear he's the real deal. I would have swapped him out for AW. He had a down year last year and I'd like to see him really step up.

True, I guess being the #1 rusher that year earns you top honors. Nothing shocking there.
