    Watched the Niners plenty the past few years and I see why we wouldn't overpay for him. Fantastic run blocker, unexceptional pass blocker, but seemed to have constant nagging pain in his knee. I remember more than one occasion he was helped off the field but returned quickly.

    This is what years of bad teams does to us! When you're #1 player is 40th in the league, that is not a good thing. Not a knock on Fred necessarily, but let's aim higher!

    Yeah, seems like all these joint practices are good for are injuries and brawls. Well, at least if that is the case, most of the tanking is already done for them.

    Yep. Dude was drafted to be their #1 and he definitely got targeted as such. Panthers WR corps suffers a major blow here. Undoubtedly NFL players suffer more injuries - or at least more severe ones - than other major sports. It extra sucks when it's in limited contact practice like this one.

    So everyone has been saying since his debut in Philly. I like him too, but fumbling even in minimal contact situations is alarming.

    Interesting that Mulligan was a positive for you. I didn't notice his blocking on live TV, but his receptions were unspectacular.
