  1. Small sample size last year.
  2. Then why do you value Matt Cassel?
  3. This is EJ's biggest moment thus far. I think he's ready. His preseason performance was so far beyond what we have seen from him previously.
  4. Rollover $ for cap? Next year's cap? We have a lot of contracts coming up. 3rd QBs are never a top priority.
  5. But we have actual talent that we want to retain. $3m is $3m and I think if Cassel is going to start at QB, potentially without a running game this week, kiss the season goodbye. He just isn't that good. Weeden might be better than him.
  6. MCL sprain is what EJ suffered in his rookie year, right? That kept him out quite a few games.
  7. You don't pay that much for a 3rd string QB. If your top 2 QBs go down, you're plain screwed. No team plans to use a 3rd QB.
  8. Same. He was a BOSS in preseason. Let's do this!
  9. Vindicated!
  10. The willingness of these guys to block is both crucial and awesome!
  11. Josh Johnson? Lol, would have to wait until TT is confirmed OK. Or we release IK?
  12. I sure hope he's ready.
  13. Taylor seems to be hesitant or too heady sometimes, and always early in the games. They are most cetainly asking him to stay in the pocket and deliver passes and I think he has to keep himself from running sometimes which messes up his flow/mojo/flojo/whatever. When they let him ball out, he is nearly unstoppable. Agreed that the throwing lanes aren't always there. Don't know exactly what sort of coaching can be done to help TT in this regard, but it would be helpful if we could open some lanes up for him.
  14. He really is. I'm glad he isn't leading a mutiny again, haha.
  15. On 3rd and long, why wouldn't you line up a little back? It's likely the CBs are isolated on their receiver and are just trying to keep them from getting the first down. Keep everything in front of you.
  16. Credit Kurt Warner for that.
  17. Yep, just some basic football strategy.
  18. He has been phenomenal.
  19. It was bizarre and inexcusable, but also a ticky tacky call that has no effect on the outcome of the play. It's one of those calls conspiracy theorists could use to say the refs are rigging the games. That ostensibly changed the outcome of the whole half.
  20. Yeah, just meant second ACL tear he has suffered.
  21. This game was a lot like Minnesota last year. Really sloppy ball, but a huge conversion and then a clutch deep catch by Hogan led us to take the lead. They are not letting Tyrod take off early in the game. We don't want him to get hurt, I get that, but we just need maybe one good run from him to keep the pass rush honest until we really need him to run wild.
  22. As long as they stop fair catching within the 10, sure. Our coverage units have been dreadful. Tyrod is playing too heady early and when they let him loose, he can singlehandedly win the game for us. Much like Colton Schmidt singlehandedly bailed out our lousy offense by booming those punts! Lol.
  23. Hey, speaking of this call, though, did you guys notice how mad the D played after that, but didn't lose their discipline? They hit hard and made the stops. Totally different unit compared to earlier that game. I like how they responded, but wish they would look like that more of the game.
  24. After the Graham penalty, I thought the defense played MAD and still harnessed that anger in the exact right way. Clean, hard tackles and aggression without losing discipline. I wish they would look like that the whole game! Our secondary is among the best in the NFL this year. Without them this would have been over in the first half.
