  1. "The Bills are playoff-ready once they get healthy. Taylor has a chance to cement his status as a franchise quarterback with a big season, and a big Fitzpatrick-like Bills contract to go with it." Well, don't put it like that!
  2. Yeah, I am truly worried they will roll out TT with limited mobility. Maybe they are playing mind games and TT isn't so bad, or its already been decided that EJ goes, but otherwise I am worried about the outcome here. Would rather them prep with EJ than to have TT start only to exacerbate the injury or perform poorly.
  3. Lol, well what I'm saying is EJ showed that he can make more throws than TT in preseason, and have faith that he can still become a great QB, but I do understand starting TT this year over EJ.
  4. Rex did say TT and EJ are the "present and future." So, maybe indicative that he is of that mind as well. We all knew he was the prototypical QB in his physical tools and work ethic. I like TT, but he doesn't seem like a long term answer. He has been good enough to provide some spark and production, but our offense has been boom-or-bust and that worries me. TT misses a lot of open receivers, like doesn't see them, and can't throw over the middle.
  5. Ian Rappoport said on NFLN that EJ is the likely starter and also mentioned that some in the organization still think he can become the franchise QB. Might just be Whaley, but who knows?
  6. Rodak deserves scrutiny, but he isn't necessarily wrong about this.
  7. Agreed, TT's game is all about his mobility. Play EJ and what happens happens.
  8. This is an interesting thought. Robey is a very sure tackler, especially considering his size.
  9. Leo was leading the league in INTs last year before the injury.
  10. Hard to say, but I feel as though EJ will be playing. Taylor's game is largely predicated on his mobility, especially considering he is the run game is Shady and Karlos are still question marks.
  11. Dang Sammy! Absolutely. Orton was at his best orchestrating the comeback drives at Detroit and against Minnesota (I guess both Jets games too). But, I mean, the way he ran the offense in total command was extremely different from the standard fare we saw even in those very games.
  12. I mentioned this in the AW injury thread. It would be getting a far superior player to Duke/Rambo out there.
  13. Back in time for playoffs what what! This is a huge bummer nonetheless. Can Leo play safety?
  14. This. I have no quotes, but I heard on some video report (can't remember which site) that Roman wanted Cassel. This was to be starter, around the start of preseason, so I don't know how things changed by the time TT was named starter. And I'd like to believe that all coaches were impressed and comfortable with EJ's progress, making the trade agreeable.
  15. Well, that's unexpected. AW played most of the game. This is bad news!
  16. Hmmm, perhaps that's a grey area with read option?
  17. And then he played wide receiver for a play!
  18. Dalton led the Bengals from a late 17-point deficit against the vaunted Seahawks D to win. He looks way better than before, even if the Seahawks do look a bit worse as well. I believe in our defense, but I do think this will be a tough challenge.
  19. Probably more of an "if you can't beat them, join them" type of thing. Pats were getting away with it, so now we're doing it too.
  20. Shoot, you're right. Well, inching ever closer.
  21. Well, glad it's been confirmed after all the hullabaloo.
  22. Thanks for posting. Love that breakdown of the DL. Kyle chasing down Mariota and Hughes recognizing a screen and going from pass rushing to sniffing out the screen on the other side of the line... beautiful. I like that he brings up how few sacks Seattle had last year while being the consensus best D in the NFL. I was among those criticizing Rex's scheme for not utilizing our pass rushers as pass rushers, generally overscheming, etc. But in this game it was clear that the game plan was executed very well and with the desireable results. Also, triple teaming Clay! Wowza.
  23. With the exception of that false start on Kujo last week, he seemed alright filling in for Cordy. Wouldn't mind seeing him get in there at RT, but that might be a bye week adjustment.
  24. NFL.com still hasn't reported any of this!
