  1. Great timing by Rambo on that blitz too. Great takeaway and feedback.
  2. Yeah, I don't want to lose any of our young talent on account of Reggie Bush, but I would assume he would take the spot of Boom for now or Powell later as return man. We'll see how it all shakes out.
  3. Oakland is getting some hype, but I think it's warranted. I thought they showed flashes throughout the year and they can really put something together this year with their acquisitions and the continued development of Carr/Cooper/Crabtree/Murray on offense. They could be really exciting. Every year I underestimate the Chiefs, and every year they surprise me like last year's 10-game streak. I think they will have another solid season, but more like 2014, 9-7 no playoffs. Denver is uninspiring with Sanchez the presumed starter, but they will also be competitive. And if Sanchez can play like his first two seasons in New York, that team will be hard to beat.
  4. These are my top battles as well. I think we could possibly have a hidden gem surface at WR3, but it could also be a disaster. TE2 worries me a little. I wanna see Robey fight for his spot and have a year like his first, but I'll also be excited if Seymour turns out to be a stud, RT looks bleak but if Mills or whoever can gel with the rest of the line he can still be effective.
  5. What were the other QBs ratings when throwing to Sammy Watkins last year?
  6. Too hard to do this now, obviously. But I think Denver takes a step back without a QB (barring some surprise), making way for Oakland to take the division. New England starts 1-3 but finishes 12-4 and wins the division. I had us at 11-5 as the second wild card (Pittsburgh first wild card). Of course the records are all way out of balance because I mostly went by my personal power rankings, sometimes giving the edge to home teams and by the end of the season assuming the Cards, for example, were resting their starters. I am predicting a healthy Romo giving Dallas one more playoff push but we'll see how it goes. The NFCE should be the most interesting division this year if the coaching changes in NY and Philly work out. There are no obviously dominant or weak teams there so it should be a close race between all four, at least for now. It goes: AFC 1) Cincy 2) New England 3) Oakland 4) Jacksonville 5) Pitt 6) Buffalo NFC 1) Green Bay 2) Arizona 3) Carolina 4) Dallas 5) Seattle 6) NYG
  7. LOL. Can't wait for parts 2 and 3 next year.
  8. I don't think PFF tries to predict the future too much. It's mostly projecting performance based on past results. But they gotta find something to do for now.
  9. Excellent video. Still can't believe that call.
  10. For a superstar RB, this contract wasn't so bad. It's just that Shady didn't have his best year and then had those off-field issues. But the trade was unquestionably great.
  11. Well, what young CB wouldn't?
  12. The preseason is important for the coaches and players. Certain fans like myself may enjoy watching some of the fringe players fight for a roster spot, but the purpose of the preseason really isn't entertainment. A lot of players share reps the first two weeks, the third week is the dress rehearsal and the fourth is the last stand for fringe players. At minimum I think three games are necessary for teams to really get a feel for their roster and playbook in action, but as it stands the four games don't really bother me. I mean, there are nearly twice the players on the roster those first three weeks. The stars don't put too much wear on their bodies in that time period. As far as this idea being flaoted around that they do preseason in the form of non-padded, non-tackle scrimmages, that's what camp is for. You need the guys in pads simulating a real game.
  13. This may have been the case, but even in some of the instances in this video he took a chance on some throws and either the defender made a good play or the receivers let the ball bounce off their hands (granted they were high throws). I think TT just did a good job protecting the football most of the time and it didn't really feel like he was uncomfortable or tentative.
  14. If Darby had a couple more INTs, he wouldn't be here. But it is true that he had balls hit him in the hands. Both of our CBs struggle there. That highlight video doesn't do him justice either.
  15. He got hurt on a horse collar tackle and finished the game. I think the staff was being extra cautious with Tyrod, or they were really trying to give EJ a chance to take the gig. At first it looked like Tyrod was gonna suit up for week 6, and then they decided to make him inactive, and then I remember Tyrod saying he was feeling good going into week 7, and we read a couple reports saying he would be back, but the staff said they weren't comfortable with it. I don't pretend to know how MCL sprains are handled, but I remember feeling like the staff was taking the injury as an opportunity to give EJ one more shot.
  16. Butler is older than White and Moore though.
  17. Last year's CB corps was Gilmore, Darby, Robey, McKelvin, Brooks, Butler, yes? So we lose two, add three. True enough, at minimum one of those guys will not make the roster. I would feel inclined to give Butler the upper hand because he was with the team last year and played well in camp and when called upon to play. But White has some experience with Rob Ryan and Sterling Moore wasn't bad in Tampa. It'll be an interesting battle to watch.
  18. Pretty sure he makes the team. Filled in nicely last year and he has the right hair.
  19. Wait, why didn't he make the team if he had the longest jump?
  20. Didn't Whaley say Adolphus would be a starter?
  21. I've never thought of the Colts DL as particularly deep or talented. Am I missing something?
  22. I'm also saying Seymour at slot corner. But with the way Robey's play has dropped off considerably since his stellar rookie season, and with how much hype Seymour has gotten so far, maybe it's not a huge surprise.
  23. Miss those days! Also miss that awesome midi music playing under the highlights.
  24. I'll have to think more about mine, but I think Rambo also had a really good game against the Jets for TNF.
  25. This is what makes football a special sport. Thanks for the write up!
