They called the plays they had to based on what the defense gave them. Seattle took away the deep ball. Russ has no other game. He is the most overrated QB I have ever seen and I’ve been saying this for years. He is a good QB, but he has not evolved his game at all, and doesn’t elevate the play of those around him. He is not a leader.
And yes I’ve seen him make some great plays and put his guys in a position to make plays. That one throw to, I think, 82 in the end zone was a good one and could have changed the game.
He’s just not the player so many people think he is because he came into the league as an electric playmaker on a loaded roster. Again, I could be wrong and Russ has all year left to prove himself.
Or Hackett job?
Yes he was atrocious too. But I really don’t think the play calls themselves were so bad as the game management.
