  1. Reminds me of 2012 when reporters liked Wilson but predicted Flynn to start given experience + contract.
  2. This was the other angle for anyone that cares: http://i.imgur.com/w8uicRf.gifv
  3. I'm not totally sure if it was tipped: http://i.imgur.com/pTiZqJ7.gifv
  4. I thought you were suggesting TT couldn't lead the Bills to a successful season and I was listing examples of guys that have, esp Wilson and Kaep. Maybe you don't disagree 10-6 or 11-5 is possible despite some ups and downs? Ummm isn't this exactly my point? TT might have ups and downs but we have that defense to get us to 10-6 or 11-5. I'm not hating on EJ I just don't agree TT is some green QB that will take a season to adjust.
  5. I tend to agree but recently there are more examples than just Rodgers that have done well out of the gate. I think the 4 years on the bench shouldn't be overlooked. Guys with immediate impact: Colin Kaepernick - 1 year on bench, 17-6 over first 2 years starting (5-2, 12-4) Russell Wilson - 0 years on bench, 24-8 over first 2 years starting (11-5, 13-3) Joe Flacco, 0 years, 20-12 (11-5, 9-7) Andy Dalton - 0 years, 19-13 (9-7, 10-6) Tony Romo - 2 years, 19-7 (6-4, 13-3) Andrew Luck - 0 years, 22-10 first 2 years (11-5, 11-5) I'm sure there are others. I don't see why TT couldn't do as well as Kaepernick and Wilson. Quite a few similarities between their play type and strength of team defense. I'd argue this team has more offensive play makers as well. I know there are more examples of guys that struggle early, I'm just saying it's not crazy to suggest Tyrod goes 10-6 or 11-5. My bigger concern is actually injury.
  6. Well technically he guessed correctly on Rex, Roman, and Darby. He also stated early on that EJ was no longer part of the organization's plans, which seems to be true, even if the cut prediction was incorrect.
  7. Seems prettttty likely they'll be able to look at both cars and figure out if Spike's car did hit the Nissan. Curious to hear the explanation of deer if that happens.
  8. Yeah it's not like a Russell Wilson situation. He wasn't graded out as a 2nd round QB (obviously by anyone) and they didn't get a chance to consider him 3rd round. It's really possible they wanted Grayson and the whole Petty smokescreen was to try and get the Saints to draft him. They knew the Saints would be interested in a QB, would be picking a few spots ahead of them, and had a link to Petty. Instead the Saints take him and Bills don't end up drafting a QB at all. Given the number of reports that they were going draft a QB at some point, it wouldn't surprise me if he was the one guy they were willing to draft and timing just didn't quite work out. Every other QB they had multiple shots at and passed. I can't hold it against them for not taking him in the 2nd.
  9. I just don't get this. I'm all for moving on from nostalgia type guys that aren't contributors...but I just can't see how Fred is that player. He had 66 receiptions last year (3rd for RBs in NFL) for 500+ yards (again 3rd) and remains the guy I trust most to gut out that must have 3rd down. I might be with you if it was some big cap hit that could be used for X player, but I don't see another guy at 2.5m that is going to bring the value Fred can.
  10. what 12 months will do..."ralph is cheap" threads have been replaced by "oh no the cap!" threads. i'll take it!
  11. Nobody traded Sheldon Richardson.
  12. anyone that would pass on peyton is just nuts. I mean, I don't know if he's got anything left in the tank...but I'm taking the hope of Peyton having a year left over the hope of EJ making a miraculous improvement. I mean in fact, I'd take it just for letting EJ watch Peyton for the year. It's the perfect stop gap in this offseason of QB blah.
  13. I suspect Orton will determine his own fate in the next 4 weeks. I'm thinking he's our QB next year with anything close to an average or above average performance. Short of that, I don't see why Bradford wouldn't be a reasonable option. The QB pickings are pretty slim as FA goes this year...and I think he's a guy you could get without the monster contract someone like Newton might demand if he makes it to FA.
  14. If nothing else that Sammy Watkins first rounder goes down another couple spots.
  15. We might be getting closer. Last week Marrone refused to acknowledge accuracy issues in the post game, this week he mentioned 4 balls that he wished were on target and that the RBs did a great job. Have there been any reports on how Orton is doing in practice? I think we're just getting to the point where he's been with the team long enough to be an actual option. No idea what the coaches are seeing in practice. It's still EJ for DET, but I think another poor game there would really open the door. Orton isn't a savior, but mediocre QB play could have won this game, and certainly wouldn't have intentionally grounded a ball from the end zone last week.
  16. Yeah, he played vintage Fitzpatrick. Made some great plays with his legs, put in 100% effort, but made enough bad plays that will cost you more games than not. We needed to get a better QB than that.
  17. Honestly I don't think it's premature to book that Arizona airfare and hotel.
  18. You were saying?
  19. Here's an equivalent. You own a restaurant. You've got bad service, and people start leaving negative comments on Yelp. In response, you Tweet "I don't think they should be leaving bad comments about our service. They should appreciate how hard we're working." Yes, you can say it...but like I said earlier, businesses shouldn't complain about their customers, especially loyal ones.
  20. Sort of. He hasn't filled the papers, but he's not on a team. As others have mentioned, he'd probably come back for some team, but perhaps not Buffalo.
  21. It's more complicated than that. Twitter is an extension of media, and all players have contractual obligations to represent their brand as desired by the team in the media. You can bet you will not see Goodwin Tweeting again in any negative fashion about Bills fans, including booing.
  22. Bills are a product, fans are consumers. I'm not talking about free speech. The Bills should not complain about their customers. Especially considering their loyalty despite a poor product.
  23. Did I kill your dog or something?
  24. I'm not a big fan of booing a team. That being said, the Bills are a rock solid passionate fan base. We've been filling that stadium for 13 years without winning. Jacksonville would BEG to have fans show up to boo. Cincinnati would love to have passionate fans. Bills players don't get to complain about booing.
  25. Excellent, I was hoping you would.
