i remember the KC game where losman came off the bench, then hit evans on that sweet TD where he ran into the security guard. that was a good long ball pass.

I hate when people equate a horse with a human... Does a horse really need a google tribute video featurning neil young, like a recovering PERSON might? I say, rename that thing "Elmer" and send him off to the factory. That would be a great video!

Why didn't holcomb play AT ALL?
Corp000085 replied to Corp000085's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
thank you. i just found the bills podcast to get the PCs yesterday morning. hopefully now i can stay more current! -
sorry if this has already been posted, but why wasn't holcomb in at all? You almost always see a rotation of the #2 and #3 guy in the second half of preseason games. Tis just speculation, but if those rumors about the bills shopping holcomb are true, maybe a deal is being worked out. I'll try to edit in the rumored trade thread into this one, but i forgot to search for it beforehand. by the way, nall looked slightly better than blah, if that counts for anything...

nor could he pump other things...

honestly, i think that's all he was supposed to do. I remember tasker and marv basically being non-drunk fans with microphones during the preseason games. All the teams are like that. I'm sure its in their contracts, their told to do it, or they just do it because all the home team announcers do the same thing. They're not as bad as the NESN bruins guys those. At least they didn't lay a bounty on briere.

haven't seen any of the games
Corp000085 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he seemed gunshy in the first 2 games, like he did last year at times. Last night he played great. He had one missnap leading to a fumble which he recovered, one INT on an out pass that the CB jumped, one coverage sack (maybe he had another one, i can't remember), and a couple illegal formation/delay of game penalties which could have been on him or the coaches (he did take the blame for the delay penalties in his postgame press conference). His TD pass was spectacular. he stepped up to avoid the rush, blasted a 60 yard bomb to price, which he caught in stride, then as he was following through, he ducked and did a WWF style bend over and give the opponent a backflip maneuver. In short, JP showed some major progress, and if this game was an indication of the regular season, he at least won't be a liability and might even be a good player for us. -
Bills game may be on NFL Network
Corp000085 replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It recorded. I'm impressed with the nfl network so far. You see, ESPN would have edited out the good bills plays and spliced in some plays from the chargers game last year. NFL network showed the game in its entirety! -
I am just skeptical on the defense, and i will be till they can prove me wrong. Charlie frye was surgical on that first drive. Mcgee was out of position, fletcher was falling down trying to cut back, etc. It's not that i'm saying i'm overly critical of the defense, but i am just worried. Drives like that first cleveland drive remind me of horrid memories like tampa and atlanta last year. They definitely have the talent level to turn it around, its just a matter of actually turning the ship around. Again, i'm not trying to be overly confident in the offense, but in the same breath, not overly critical of the defense. I'm just skeptical on both sides of the ball.

Individual Players: JP--Well, his skill level looks about the same. He's got some zip on the ball, he can avoid the rush, and he can make accurate throws when he wants to. What's changed since last week? He didn't seem to be so "tweaked out". He didn't really skip any passes or kick himself in the nuts over bad throws. His TD to price was money, and he was hitting evans consistantly. Price--he read his outlook calendar correctly last night and showed up. He finally solidified his spot as the #2 receiver last night. Royal--It's one game, but it's nice to have a tight end again, isn't it? O-Line--They made some stupid penalty mistakes... They take the blame as well as coaching Coaches--Can they get the plays on time and correctly and/or correct the "illegal procedure" BS? Hopefully this was their "warmup" game as well... If Jauron is as smart as he is billed (or at least smarter than meathead) he'll learn from those mistakes and correct them for the regular season. Defense--They're going to be a liability till proven wrong. Hopefully that first drive was "practice". IF they pull that crap against NE in 2 weeks, it won't really matter how much jp has developed. spikes--Nice to see him back, now reevaluate your injury, sit out next week, and get ready to !@#$ up tom brady My overall reaction: It's one game, its the preseason, but they played great last night, especially on offense. JP was sharp, and when he wasn't he didn't get too down. I like how he got puilled after his INT. Great game, but that gives him something to think about. For the first time all preseason, i'm actually excited to see the offense. They weren't a liability. The defense on the other hand... I don't know if its coaching, the new scheme, or the players, but man... It's going to be a very long season if they play like that, especially on the first drive. My homer prediction for the record is always 19-0, although my realistic prediction was somewhere around the mark where the team finished last year (although they're going to show improvement by thanksgiving). I know its preseason and i shouldn't get "up" too high, but if the offense plays the way they did last night, and the defense locks down their mistakes, i see no reason why they can't at least go .500. By the way, hopefully holcomb will either be cut or traded so any shadow of doubt will be gone. Nall can be the #2 guy.

deluca... tasker was a big homer for the bills last night, but he had nothing on those browns guys. Tasker was the most objective guy in the history of broadcasting compared to the 2nd half browns commentators. For that bills tv network, he's a bills employee. when he's with cbs he's more objective although he has room for improvement. for all the tasker commentator detractors, he has made tremendous improvements after he and don criqui were split

kelly holcomb, so if the pats go 1-3, he can come in so the vets can compete for a playoff spot at the cost of losing developmental time for tom brady.

I wouldn't change a thing. Although, i will hopefully get my kids (when i have them) to do activities that i did, not like what swede said about kids playing computer games and stuff. I'd love to build an ice rink in my backyard for them (it won't freeze though, since it only gets cold for like 3 days in january here)

wasn't barlow the guy who started to dance on the bills after he broke a 45-0 shutout late in garbage time about 3 years ago? What a major tool! -

I liked how jp ran down to give him his props. Shows some continuity that seemed to be missing last year. -
I know very little of motorcycles or motorcycle modifications, but i can appreciate raw power. You should bring a computer mic outside and make an mp3 of the engine revving...

Anyone planning to pick up Madden '07?
Corp000085 replied to Buftex's topic in Off the Wall Archives
This is the first time in the ENTIRE series that i do not feel compelled to get the game. I'm holding out for nhl 07 as my last ps2 game before i start saving my money for ps3.
