"Other Surprises in the Offing"?

I'd be conflicted as to whether or not I should delete him as a friend if he were picked up by another team -
Is the first game plan from Kelly?
Corp000085 replied to SlamnSam's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they score a TD, throw to a receiver in the end zone on a 3rd down play in the red zone, or for that matter, throw the ball at all downfield, we know that they modified Turk's "plan" -
Is the first game plan from Kelly?
Corp000085 replied to SlamnSam's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wouldn't this be great if the Bills were indeed playing possum. I'm expecting the worst, but i'd absolutely love a "oh my god, they actually beat the sh-- out of the pats" type of game... -
It was a lame joke directed at all the trentative checkwards threads here. I haven't listen to wgr in about 5 years, so i really have no comment on whether or not they're using that line there too. It was a joke, no slam on your piece (which i thought was well written by the way).

What will be T Owens comments after Pats game?
Corp000085 replied to _ROOKIE_'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"There were some in Dallas, mostly the owner, who doubted me. Obviously, catching the overtime winning touchdown pass, while the eyes of the world were on me and my new team for this year, the Buffalo Bills, proved them wrong." -
Teams must be down to 53 players by 6:00pm today. Who gets cut? Which bubble guy stays? I am not going to drop any names, cause quite frankly, all I saw was the Hall of Fame Game. I will say that the offensive cuts should be looked at carefully. It may yield some clues as to the type of offense that AVP will actually run here. For example, if the FB gets cut as opposed to the 9th string HB, or visa versa. I'm interested in what goes down today...

Is Jauron really the O's Problem?
Corp000085 replied to barbwire's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you guys are missing the bigger picture. DJ is a good guy, a loyal guy, and a guy who is willing to take the fall for his people. Turk was his people. When Ralph told DJ to fire Turk or he's fired (and no i have no proof that this happened, except for the fact that it's beyond totally obvious), DJ fired Turk to save his job. Now, whether DJ loves this team, loves his job, or simply needs to put the kids through college, he chose to can someone to save himself. That speaks volumes people... I believe that he'll loosen the grips and delegate to his coordinators, since if he doesn't, he's looking at the next interim head coach of the buffalo bills when he's in the coaches meetings. As the dust settles on this preseason, I think that we'll be grateful that things fell the way that they did. I'm not calling this team a contender yet, but finally, for the first time in a decade, this team was proactive about something when it matters. That's a huge boost. -
Jerry Jones rips revenue sharing
Corp000085 replied to dbringer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's guys like Jerry Jones that will change the face of the league over the long period. I think we're starting to see it now... Teams like Dallas will try to force the smaller teams out, its simple capitalist economics. However, the NFL is a socialist organization. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. With out the small teams like Buffalo, Green Bay, Jacksonville, etc., the large teams will fail, and fail miserably. You watch and see... If the NFL is to remain the best league in this country, there will be large market teams and small market teams and they will work together to make the NFL great. If the Buffalo's of the league go away, there is no more NFL in 50 years, period. -
Relationship between Schonert and Trent
Corp000085 replied to Kiwi Bills fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know what started it all, or the actual events, but all fingers point to some major heat between schonert and various people in the organization, including players. We all know that this team is very talented in spots, and the major piece to the puzzle that's been missing for the past 10 years has been coaching. If this guy turned out to be a bad apple, I think, even with an inexperienced AVP thrown in at the last minute, will be a positive thing. Maybe it translates to a win next monday, maybe not, but getting rid of the bad apple always turns around the group, no matter what the group is (small company, school, classroom, team, etc.) Now, to the original point, I have no inside knowledge here, so just let me speculate. I'm about 100% sure that things started out perfectly fine for turk and the bills. However, when the going got tough, turk either couldn't handle it or the way he handled it was counter to the internal philosophy of the team (i.e. what really makes them tick as a group, rather than what they project to the media and to us). It probably chipped away till things broke this preseason. Oh well... At least the guys openly trust AVP. That can go a hell of a long way towards a few victories as he weeds out the playbook and gets his feet wet. -

Exactly. When I hear a crying child, I immediately look to see if the parent(s) remove him or her from the situation till they can behave. When they don't, I direct all of my anger towards the parents. -

OFFICIAL GAME THREAD: BILLS VS STEELERS 8/29/2009
Corp000085 replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Men against boys here... For all of you "its only preseason" people, mark my words, this begins the final implosion of the 2000's Buffalo Bills... Hopefully the 20teens are better for us! -
The pats don't have 5000 fans. They have about 500 hardcore fans that date back to 1960. They can live.. the rest of the bandwagoners can go root for the bruins after the pats and sox are out of it.

I totally respect your opinion, but we haven't beaten these guys since 2003. That's six friggin years ago. I'll take a win against some UFL scrub at this point. Even if Brady is out, there's still 52 other guys that have beaten the Bills since 2003, but it definitely gives us a little better edge.

http://bexhuff.com/hybrid-or-hummer get a modern (model year 2007+) diesel 4 cylinder. Hybrids are an absolute waste of money. The only thing green about them is the money that they pad their execs with. Hybrid=marketing gimmick. You can take your $4000 tax credit and use it to buy a $3800 battery after 40,000 miles.

Spoken very well, Mr. Kelly.
