  1. http://www.greenskyproductions.co.uk/iwial...nettoughguy.jpg As for Maybin, I really don't understand why everyone hates on this guy. He was a rookie last year, playing out of position, under an inept coaching staff. Oh yeah, he also missed all of training camp cause his agent was dealing with a front office that couldn't find its way out of a paper bag. I'll give the guy this year to prove himself, if not, he can go somewhere else. But to rag on him like he's the all time bust of the Buffalo Bills is a little silly. And to the OP, till he makes a play, nobody should know who Aaron Maybin is, especially a gossip magazine.
  2. Held to field goals 3 times inside the red zone. Were those Bills teams not as good as we thought, or are we not as bad as we thought right now. Hopefully the latter is true.
  3. Anyone mention Robert Johnson? I remember reading an article some years ago where Jimmy Page was listening to a Robert Johnson recording and he asked who the other guy was playing with him. He was shocked to hear that it was one guy playing. And since we're not limited to rock and roll, how about some love for Mozart and Beethoven? I'm sure that 99% of you know, but Beethoven wrote his major works while deaf. I especially love his 9th symphony. Written while he was a) completely deaf b) totally drunk c) dying of syphilis Dude was drunk, insane, and totally friggin deaf when he wrote this. There's 6 more clips after this one if you're interested in the whole thing. *I can't stress this enough, the dude couldn't hear what he was writing.
  4. I guarantee that the HSBC headquarters in Buffalo will close in under 6 months due to the retirement/holdout of Aaron Schobel. I guess A-Ron's departure from Buffalo has the same economic impact as 'Bron's departure from Cleveland.
  5. Guys, who cares if it's fake. It was funny!
  6. Musician? Jerry. Favorite member? Pigpen. I love the Dead and I love their jamming, but at the end of the day, they started out as a rock/blues band, and pigpen was the bluesman. edit: In an attempt to figure out whether you meant "deceased" or "Grateful Dead" by asking about a "dead musician", I satisfied both definitions.
  7. That was awesome. It's been a while since I laughed so hard that I began to cry.
  8. This LeBron thing really bothers me. A) He took the "cowards way" out by going to an all star team rather than stick with his team. B) His team was his hometown team. He is just like us folks, with some fame due to his talent. Imagine any one of us in that situation. Would we leave Buffalo for a ring? The only guy I can think of that has any connection to us is Dominik Hasek, and we all still are baffled by him. Yes, LeBron left money on the table for a chance to win rings, but he did some major financial damage to his friggin home for some personal success. C) The real man thing to do would be to have stayed in Cleveland, for that reduced salary, with the intention of using the extra cap space to bring in some complimentary players. Or, since this is 2010, take the max salary for less years so that some role players can be signed for longer deals. I'm not sure how the NBA salary cap works, but this seems logical. D) May I reiterate that this guy buried his hometown on national TV, a hometown that is a carbon copy of Buffalo. We all can relate and commiserate with the Cleveland folks. E) Hour long, nationally broadcasted shows to support your "image" and to announce something that should have come from a press release from the front office is messing with karma in a bad way. I'm sure there are such things as basketball gods, like there are hockey and football gods. You don't mess with sports gods in this manor. I would not be surprised to see Kobe Bryant and the Lakers destroy the Heat in next year's Finals, watch the Cavs pull an upset in the conference playoffs over the Heat, or watch one or more of these three "chosen ones" absolutely suck it up or get injured in a bad way in the near future. You just don't mess with the gods like LeBron did. He mentioned that he had guidance from the Big Man Above last night, but buddy, as a Brown's fan, you know it best... Don't mess with the sports gods. I don't ever want to bet against the Bills or Sabres, but I'd lay a bet down that he'll pull an Ernest Byner or have a Madden Curse type injury well before one of our Buffalo teams wins a championship. F) Miami? Seriously? Maybe Dan can give him some gloves to wear if it gets down to a chilly 70 next november.
  9. That video was brilliant. The guy should be promoted.
  10. OH lord, not THIS again.
  11. RIP to the man, and peace to his family... Now, someone in West Virginia is rejoicing over the fact that they get to reclaim a long lost, stolen tablecloth. So sorry about the eye holes.
  12. What a match so far.
  13. No, and I even pay my ISP myself, with money I earn. I am, however, visiting my parents this week, so technically, I am temporarily living with my parents.
  14. Well, like I do with all movie mentions here, I added it to my netflix queue. I'm in the minority here (no pun intended) with this comment, but that was a hilarious movie trailer. Bad choice in the thread title, but I can't wait to see this low budget western when it arrives in 3 years!
  15. Military and police training protocols are to aim for the chest. Bigger target, less chance for "error". If I were going to go though, I'd be guillotined. It's a clean wound, it makes for a great show, and there's that small chance that I'd have conscious thought for a few seconds after impact. When push comes to shove, I would want to "survive" for as long as possible, even if it were for only 5-20 seconds.
  16. I would download a free FTP client for the mac, such as filezilla and use it to set up an ftp server on your mac. Then ftp to the files from the PC. Do not use a wifi connection. Plug an ethernet jack from the mac to the router and from the pc to the router. A wired connection, even if it's not gigabit, is way faster than wifi. Doing an FTP file transfer would be A LOT faster than using SMB. If you don't want to move the physical files over, you can just open itunes on the mac and set your library to share over the network, then you can listen to your music on the PC. Either way, for backup purposes, you'll need another separate solution such as another external HD, NAS with RAID 1 capabilities, or your best solution to ensure your data doesn't get lost is an offsite backup program like carbonite or mozy. Trust me... I lost EVERYTHING a few years ago by simply relying on a usb external hard drive. I lost 10 year's worth of mp3s, wedding pictures, backups of install cds for expensive programs... Everything. You're truly playing with fire if you just have your music or whatever in one single location, even if you don't realize it yet.
  17. Sunglasses block out the hate. That's why they're called hata blockerz. Seriously though, I don't have a problem, whatsoever for people that wear shades outside (or beat cops... they're driving 90% of the time) It's just common courtesy and proper etiquette to remove your shades when you go inside, just like you'd remove your hat, or to remove them if you're having a face-to-face conversation with someone outside. If you don't do so, you're either Jim McMahon or your mother didn't raise you right.
  18. 0.56 is like two or three bottles of jack during a hockey game. Plus, the lethal dose for humans of alcohol is to have a BAC greater than or equal to 0.4. New liver or not, how in the hell did this guy (a) keep his reptilian brain working, (b) operate a vehicle?
  19. The only thing I can't understand is how come they have tax except status... You wanna see a cult group turn into straight up anti-government mcveigh-esque terrorists is to make them pay taxes...
  20. Always sad to see old stadiums and buildings torn down.
  21. I have pants that have small slits in the pockets so you can tug your... ...shirt down.
  22. I'll love the memories, but I too cannot watch. It's an absolute crime that those Bills teams never won. I'll continue to go to the Hall of Fame ceremonies (for Reed, Tasker, Bill Polian, and hopefully Kent Hull), but I just can't stomach watching those teams absolutely dominate compared to what we have now, and especially knowing that they never won the Super Bowl.
