What Bills Victory did you Least Enjoy?
Corp000085 replied to Glory Bound's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1:08--Ruben Brown with a great block. This is what the line has been unable to do for the past few years. I'm calling coaching on this one. Brown pulls to get that inside block from the draw handoff. That's crap that never went down with Jauron's offense. I can't wait to see some innovative playcalling for what seems to be a simple run up the gut. Plays like that allow for real simple runs up the middle to work, as exhibited at 1:18 by Tim Tindale. 1:38--Kelly under pressure, buying time. Dude was the least "athletic" guy on that team, but he was still able to step to the side to avoid a sack and buy time. That's all about awareness rather than raw ability. Kelly's in the Hall of Fame, so I'm not minimizing his talent by saying that Edwards can be taught that. It's coaching there buddy. 2:52--besides the obvious terrible tackling skills, this is what wins ballgames. You break teams' backs when you are able to power your way into the end zone from the 15 yard line. Something that has been lacking. All in all, the bills of today need some decent coaches to be able to be put in a position to win games. OF course, sprinkling in a half dozen hall of famers wouldn't hurt either. -
It's been a sad, sad world since the loss of Billy Mays.

or: (1-3/5)*(1 - 2/3)x = 200 (the fraction of people without hats and (multiply) people without t shirts whom attended the concert (x) was 200) (2/5)(1/3)x=200 2/15x=200 x=200*(15/2) x=3000/2 x=1500

Eh, I still don't think the Bills are going anywhere.

Winners find a way to win. This is why I think the Lakers will STILL find a way to win it all. Fisher and Kobe will always trump LeBron and whomever else he plays with because they are winners and LeBron just isn't.

The Bills are one of, if not THE best team in the NFL to handle a market collapse of the NFL. They are very financially conservative, have zero debt, and are able to (presumably) be in the black. If they can survive the immediate future (from now till ownership changes, which will happen in the next 10 years or less) and get another sweetheart lease for the stadium, I think that there will be zero chance of the team moving. At the end of the day, the big $$ teams like cowboys, pats, etc. make a lot more money, but pay a lot more back into debt. If something happens with the financial stability of the NFL, you'll see the big boys fail first and the small guys like Buffalo and Green Bay survive and thrive. Summary: I'm not worried in the least, and I'm actually looking forward to a correction.

The corruption of youth and the failure of family values.

I'm guessing that John Denver neither falls into the Crunkcore genre nor the Screamo genre. And this is Exhibit A as to why I have already given my son a limited user profile and locked it down with parental controls, time limits and restrictions. He's 10 months old by the way. Of course, that's only half the equation. He's definitely going to be well informed about safe and positive internet usage rather than allowed to just vegetate as this girl has been allowed to do. edit: I watched the original video first. Now i'm watching the dad's rant. This has me laughing almost as much as that fake email exchange thread about the missing cat last week. -

New Iphone can do everything but make phone calls
Corp000085 replied to Fingon's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I have a case for my droid. The droid is a beast to begin with, and the case makes it fatter, but the case is what allows the phone to work with the belt holster. I never EVER put my phone in my pocket, so the depth of the device has no bearing on me anyways. My phone is either holstered to my belt or in my car somewhere. -
Plus the time saved. People ask me all the time how come computers from big box stores are sooooo cheap. I tell them that they are subsidized by preinstalled software which requires a great deal of time to remove. I literally could build a $1000 computer in half the time that I could uninstall the "free" stuff from a $200 computer. But people are stupid. They'll still buy the junk computers and expect them to run like my expensive mac.

After you know what you're doing, you can change out your oil in about 15 minutes. It's not THAT time consuming or even messy. A small jug of simple orange will last a year and is also great for cleaning up your hands after using the lawn mower or especially small 2 cycle engines like leaf blowers and weed wackers. The $72 was at an overpriced place that I stopped by in a pinch. As for the $25, I should have typed $35. You can get the big 5qt jug of mobil1 at wal mart for $23.99 and a filter for $10.

To do a synthetic oil change for my wife's car was $72 at the local place. I can do it myself for $25 plus my own time. I can go on a rant about the cost difference that places charge for a conventional oil vs. synthetic oil change, but that's for another thread. Do the simple car maintenance stuff yourself. Hell, my neighbor has an impact wrench. I have the air compressor. I rotate tires too. The cost to me is time, but the savings over the lifetime of the car can go as high as $1000+.

Deadliest Catch captain Phil Harris

I wasn't criticizing him. I was making a joke. As for the episode, I watched it. Never seen the show before, and I just casually watched knowing I probably won't watch any future episodes. I will admit, although not emotionally attached to the show, that the last segment of the show was very well done. On a side note, I have totally given up on discovery and history channel due to their reality programming. I do watch pawn stars, but other than that I tend to watch shows on the history international channel, science channel, and natgeo. I'm just hoping that in 5-10 years that this reality craze will move on. -
Jesus man, what would the kids think of this?

looks painful.

No he didn't. The devil taught Robert Johnson to play at the crossroads in Moorehead, MS in exchange for his soul. Duh!

I love Apple products, with the primary reason being that they are known for quality products that "just work". They've responded very poorly to this since the phone was released (and presumably before it was released...) I don't own an iPhone 4, but my dad does and hasn't had any issues with it. I am very interested to see how their PR dept. and designers save themselves from this. As an apple guy, I like things like this to happen. This will only strengthen the company in the long run. -
