First of all, nobody will be mistaken for Jim Kelly. Not Manuel, not Tuel, not any of the other previous QBs in Buffalo since he retired. Not Brady, Manning, Brees, Favre, or any of the other all-timers. Jim Kelly stands alone, as do all the other first ballot HOFers.
For the second point, there's no sense in even discussing the positives of EJ last night. He was god awful on the overthrow to Watkins (he would have had a TD had the pass been on target) and was horrible on the rest of his throws that were deflected. The only positive play was the screen to Williams, who gained yardage with his feet rather than by a perfectly executed mid range route/throw/catch. I do realize "its only preseason", but if EJ stinks again during the next game, there should be a serious discussion brewing between the coaching staff and front office.
