  1. That might be a not so bad idea. I'd take him as a STer/fullback/backup HB and see how he develops. Like Mcgahee, i think MC will need a year to get back into football shape. I'd just be leary of his character and any future lawsuits/charges against him from the whole OSU scandal.
  2. First time i've heard that... I think i'm going to use that analogy for a lot of things now!
  3. it's a product of many factors. Wider ice, national teams, tighter officiating. The wider ice leads to more passing and setting up for a perfect shot. National teams leads to all 6 guys speaking the same language and fighting for the same goal. The officiating is better because they don't tolerate the clutching and grabbing, and stupid holding penalties.
  4. Keep the nets the way they are, keep white ice, keep 2 line offsides. Remove the instigator rule. Hockey is a rough game, and the goons indirectly keep the skaters skating. no more instigator rule.
  5. there's a news conference scheduled for the next 10 minutes... Just a heads up on that.
  6. so i have a question... this mass thing that's being held in an hour by that bishop... is that to pray for jp's health, or has he already died with the announcement being made by this guy at the mass?
  7. also sounds like rhetoric... When it comes down to it, LJ shelton will be a buffalo bill in 6 months, and travis henry will be an arizona cardinal. It's just a matter of how it goes down.
  8. I too give thanks to everyone who makes this board run... Whether it be SDS who pays the bills, the other moderators, the regulars, or the casual poster, we all make this place a must visit website. ok, now that i've got that off my chest, all i have to say is this: "They should have never given you ni**ers money!"
  9. If there's someone with 9 lives, it's this pope. He's been shot, aged, had many corrective surgeries, and many illnesses. Throughout all, and still to this moment, he fought and survived. I'm not catholic, but i can appreciate the magnitude of his job and the toll that took on his body. I started a thread last month when he went in for the trach tube, as a pre-RIP thread. NEedless to say, he pulled through. Therefore, i'll reserve everything except my get well wishes to the pope this time around. I will be glued to cnn though.
  10. and i make a motion for johnnyB to be the moderator of the newest TBD forum "New York State Government Discussion Forum"
  11. he'd be a great addition as a 3rd WR... just not an addition to the bills
  12. Do you recommend that i get a living will, or should i just assign a religious fanatic to be my legal guardian?
  13. I saw him with his ex at dinner one night... she was pretty hot and he seemed like a nice guy. I'd hate for him to actually die or get permanently damaged in the ring. For as much as i want to see him come back and make a big splash in the heavyweight division, i don't want to see him brain damaged. good luck
  14. moulds, if he wins at least a conference championship. anything else is speculation.
  15. and Kurt Henning, aka Mr. Perfect, died 2 years ago... coincidence? i think not!
  16. you know AD, i'll remember this nugget next year when the dolphins suck... It will be funny to bring up nick saban's stupidity. Since there are lots of prediction threads (how will losman do, predict bills record, will the bills make playoffs, etc.) i will guarentee that the bills will place at least 3rd in the afc east... right in front of the dolfins.
  17. Big Cat now, let me recommend a new viewsonic LCD monitor http://www.viewsonic.com/products/desktopd...series/vp230mb/
  18. He'll grow into the position. I see a bunch of little tiny mental mistakes and maybe one that singlehandedly costs the bills a game. MM and co. is smart enough to gameplan around that, so i don't see that many huge losman mistakes... Well, unless willis goes down. One thing that bledsoe had over losman, and yes i'm saying this definitively, was tons of experience, which could be used (in theory) to cover an injury. Losman will really be thrown to the fire if joe burns is featured in the 3 yards and a cloud of rubber pellets offense. After week 8, i would not be shocked to either see the bills 6-2 or 2-6, depending on injuries and how well willis, and reed/another slot receive plays.
  19. are you done? ok great, hypothetically, if the bills are 6-2 at week 9, i better not hear "i told you so" from you...
  20. I want to wish all a happy holiday weekend. Easter to me is obviously a very significant religious weekend for me. It also represents the beginning of spring, and it gets me thinking forward to the summer. So, to all non-christian viewers here, use my spring logic this weekend. Also, to those who PM'd me about hanging out this weekend in DC, i appologize again. I'll be with my parents, brother, sister, and wife so there won't be any extra time for me to hang out, or sober up. Anyways, i'll catch all of you on monday or tuesday! once again, have a great holiday weekend.
  21. All i have to say about that article is two things: "Big Cat" and i'll bet $5 that drew bledsoe won't be headlining espn.com after week 8. The big cat comment was for the multiple page thread about jp's comments towards that kid. It did make him sound cool, but it didn't win a game. DB's comments are just that, comments... He hasn't done a thing yet, so i'm not putting much stock into them, besides the fact that i know two things: bledsoe has about 4 weeks to prove he's NOT done, and JP is indeed a big cat. As for DB headlining espn.com, it won't happen, unless they run the DB career retrospective/retirement page, or they finally figure out that he's over and make a huge deal on how far DB has fallen. edit: I guess i had more than two things to say.
  22. I made a similar post earlier about how ralph was looking out for the interests of WNY, which in turn looks out for his interests. Plus it just shows everyone why this man should be in the hall of fame. Dude floated loans to the raiders and pats, formed the AFL, won 6 conference championships, and he's still waiting. I just hope that Ralph's decision to dissent makes some press.
  23. i hope the only thing that comes of this is that hasslet looks like a baffoon... I'd hate for him to look like a baffoon but take the ship down with him.
  24. I'd like to hear some opinions on what you'd think if it came out that hull really did use roids. What would your opinion be of him as a player? What about if bruce, kelly, thurman, and andre did it too? What would you think of them? Should kelly be removed from the HOF? How about other guys in the HOF, like the steelers, who hasslet implicated? Personally, i'm really hoping beyond hope that we're not staring at the iceberg right now. This could be very very bad for pro sports, especially our cherrished bills teams. I'd hate to have them be known as the team who made it to 4 super bowls because of steroids. I know i'm just speculating, but if ha$$let admitted that roids were in the bills locker room, chances are, he wasn't the only user. Anyhow, thoughts???
