  1. First of all, congrats to your wife on her successful recovery. I have a very hard time looking at things objectively with the bills, but i think the difference between 12-4 and 4-12 lies somewhere between the knee of willis mcgahee, ron edwards being able to play every down, and whoever ends up being the kicker. There's plenty of depth at WR, QB will not be a problem (as far as i know right now...), and barring a torn ACL by the new tight end, we'll have plenty of guys to fill that position. Clements is in a contract year, mike williams is playing to not get cut after this year, there's a big upside to revamping the line with mcnally as the coach, Mike mularkey is in year #2 with the experience of last september in his back pocket, and eric moulds is excited to play again. Lots and lots of upside with low expectations from losman. I'm excited about this season for a couple reasons. 1) i'm a bills fan, and end of april is when i start to get that itch (not that itch, the other one). 2) there's a lot of uncertainty in the fact that i've never seen losman play and manage a game. that gets me going.
  2. there's only two true methods for getting rid of a hangover... 1) don't drink to begin with 2) drink plenty of water before going to bed, and after waking up. OTher than that, everything else is a gimick or some other hidden excuse to get water into your system. On that note, keep drinking beer throughout the entire hangover process.. by monday morning, you'll still be buzzed enough that you won't feel the hangover at work.
  3. He had a blood clot caused by ankle surgery.

  6. Reminds me of the concert scene in black sheep: "KILL WHITEY!"
  7. They did a piece on the new backup QB of the packers and how he'l learn from brett favre. They then went on to mention that favre wasn't at the minicamp because he was with his wife battling cancer. The very last thing they asked rogers was "what do you think about favre not being here" and he said "lazy"... Now, i know this is just a kid, who was obviously trying to make a joke, but you don't joke about the team leader being lazy when he's really with his cancerous wife. I know i'm reading too much into this, but still... that could be damaging to this guy for as long as favre is the QB.
  8. I'm very optimistic as well. I have two concerns, one being the quarterback. Say what you want about bledsoe's shortcomings, or losman's potential, but you can't argue with one fact. You knew exactly what you were getting with bledsoe, and losman still hasn't taken a meaningful snap yet. Now, being the optimist, i fully expect losman to play at a very high level. My second concern is the defensive line. Pat wasn't an every down player, yada yada yada, but he still was a force. Ron edwards can fill his shoes, but can he play a full 16 games at pat's level? Who knows. I'm not really concerned about the OL... They obviously see something in teague that will allow him to play LT. donahoe isn't done signing ol people either. I trust mcnally to get that line into playing condition by week 1. Hell, look what he did to that line last year.

  10. The fact that you're posting from the bathroom either scares me, or makes me proud to know that someone's WIFI can penetrate block walls.
  11. Hey, its not hearsay, it's credible. You'll have to trust me on that though.
  12. and he doesn't get paid... plus the fines. money talks and bullsh-- walks.
  13. He was boning mrs. hasek (sorry, no links, just heresay), and he fought with muckler. He was rightfully blackballed.
  14. We're closing june 3rd... can't wait. Thanks for the advice everyone!
  15. Looks like they may give it to carwell here.
  16. New house, new bid... Our buyer agent is also the seller agent for the people, who just happen to be a teacher at our school. We have a personal relationship with them. Anyways, we're financially prepared to take on the full listed price and full closing cost if need be, however it won't come to that. Things are looking good though. The only added cost was that i had to hire an attorney to look ouit for me, since this is a dual agent situation. Bid is obviously contingent on inspection. I'll know by tomorrow morning.+ EDIT: Ok, their counteroffer was a lower house price but we pay all closing costs. Works out that they make their original asking price for the house, and for us that our mortgage payment will be a lot lower than it originally would have been. There is only one downfall though. We were both planning on going back to college, so we might have to put that off a semseter. I'd also have to get a summer job because i'm on a 10 month pay scale. So, we're basically short some coin for the next couple of months, but it will be all good... (and so i don't get 3000 threads regarding spending all my savings on the down payment, hear me out... we've still got plenty of savings left for a cushion, just not enough to go to the beach every weekend this summer.) Wish me luck
  17. Gavin must have a hammer, cause he just hit the nail on the head. If travis was the STARTER and he refused to play for the bills, then i'd have a problem, but the dude is a cheap backup/former starter in a contract year. How again is it so bad if he remained a bill? Don't give me the locker room cancer thing either. He's too stupid to singlehandedly start a locker room controversy.
  18. Wasn't rob johnson coached by his dad?
  19. If you check your programming guide, you'll see that saturday december 17, 2005 from 6pm-11:30pm will be a WSOP marathon on ESPN
  20. I wish the NFL would stop screwing the bills. they need to be on MNF!! As for the draft, i couldn't help you... didn't watch a bit of it till i randomly turned it on at 11pm to see clarrett taken.
  21. I thought it was pretty funny myself.
  22. I guess i should have worded my original post better... I'd only endorse this scenerio if moulds looked like 2004 jerry rice next year, and was unwilling to take another paycut. Doesn't his contract balloon after next season? The whole premise of my thread really was about keeping nate, not cutting moulds. Deep down, i feel like eric moulds will retire a buffalo bill. I also feel that money will be had to sign nate clements. Whether it be mike williams restructuring or even nate signing a backloaded contract with a good faith agreement to renegotiate, just like eric moulds. If the bills go deep this year, that's not too far fetched.
  23. damaged goods... His career is over.
  24. Cutting eric moulds after this season, elevating either reed or parrish to #2, have the other play #3 WR, and have lee evans as the #1 guy? This would give the room to sign clements to his long term deal. Bart mentioned this in another thread. I'd LOVE this idea, especially if moulds shows his age.
  25. Let the hype begin for the willis/maurice rematch in december!
