New Bills owners’ passionate vision of One Buffalo
Corp000085 replied to QCity's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good read. Clearly, there will be a downtown stadium ATTACHED to the FNC and HarborCenter. Hell, in 10 years, we may even have an NBA and/or MLB team Downtown too. -
Toronto series is over. IT'S OFFICIAL!!!!!!

I love that article. It was insulting when it was written, and now it's just 100% incorrect. Bon jovi and Rogers can suck it. -

A Very Sad Story About Darryl Talley
Corp000085 replied to norton20's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. If it were me, you better call me first! As for the article, it's a sad, common read. Talley does not have the quality of life that you and I enjoy. That is very sad. I wish that the bills would be more forthcoming though, but I understand their position as well. -
Interesting read on money and family
Corp000085 replied to MarkAF43's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's a good read. Money really does break people. That guy seems to have a good perspective though despite what his earnings have done to his family. He needs to splurge on a ring for his lady though. -

Pegula tried to use Beaver stadium (penn state)

I don't have the link but the denial was a function of the infrastructure. It is not wired for NFL replays or sideline equipment. It would have been an awesome venue to play in tonight! -
This I disagree with. Ralph was a football fan, and there's not really much of a dispute there. He just put his money over trophies. It was his team and he prioritized profit and wins like he wanted. As a fan, I disagree with the 2nd rate football operations, but as a 3rd generation die hard fan, I appreciate more making my son into a 4th generation fan. As a fan, that's a priority for me. Yeah, I'd have liked to make a deal with the devil and get at least Super Bowl XXV and XXVIII, but... I'm watching football tomorrow night due to Ralph Wilson's business model. He was a fan though. A losing record does not make him a fool though. He knew what he was doing.

Terry Pegula has to sell the Sabres this weekend because the bills home game is out of market. -
So glad that they shared the answer to the question at hand.

Football Consultant Coming Soon?
Corp000085 replied to HailMary's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Results. They have been mediocre for their GOOD seasons during this stretch. At this point, hire some experienced people, but the key is to replace and start over. Replace all, wash away yesterday and start over. Change for the sake of change only works if you change EVERYTHING. Time to completely close the book on the Wilson tenure and start fresh with the Pegulas. I do agree that Whaley has done a commendable job. But if you're staring over, start over all the way, not 3/4 of the way. -
Football Consultant Coming Soon?
Corp000085 replied to HailMary's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The fact that we have heard nothing on the situation kinda falls in line with how they run things. We heard a lot of nothing with the Sabres for a very long time. Then we heard about Regier, Rolston, Murray, Nolan, Lafontaine and a whole lot of noise in about a 48 hour period. What I'm getting at is when the trigger is pulled, big stuff will happen. Sure, the Sabres are horrible (they happened to lose poorly at the same time as the Bills last night), but there's a major plan in place and by next year, things will be different. Expect the same for the Bills. When the trigger is pulled, WE ALL will know about it. I fully expect the entire front office (including Brandon) to be fired, a new team president/consultant to be hired immediately, and a plan put into place right away. If its anything like the Lafontaine deal, this new mystery person will have been hired 2 weeks ago and the entire plan will have been put in motion before the old regime is canned. I fully expect Brandon, Whaley, Marrone, and the rest of the coaching staff to be canned and immediately replaced. It's not a matter of if, its a matter of when. If I were to guess, Black Monday 2014 will be an important date in Buffalo Bills history. Of course, this plan is based on what happened with the Sabres. The only major differences are that the Bills team roster is not a complete lost cause like the 2012-2013 Sabres roster was, and the wildcard of Lafontaine going AWOL and getting canned won't happen with the Bills. Yes, this season is a dud like the previous 14, but this time will be different because there's a vast difference between Ralph Wilson and Terry Pegula. -
Eric Moulds leading the charge on Sunday

I was just going to comment on Chara breaking his neck due to the kid "not getting out of his way". I'd expect nothing less for Chara given that the kid weighs about 30 lbs, looks to be visually impaired without glasses and probably has a heart valve condition secondary to his Down Syndrome. No penalty, no fine, no suspension. Leader.

1World Trade Center Open For Business
Corp000085 replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Off the Wall Archives
They had a still shot of Chris Rock standing on the observation deck of the GE Building, which is one of the other tallest buildings in NYC. That was his schtick. That was the best monologue I've seen in years because he "went there". -
Time will tell. He showboated a bit on his TD pass too (after making sure nobody was around). Do I necessarily mind if he showboats? Not if he actually scores! Hopefully this will be a learning experience for him.

Would Pegula vote "yes" to the Rams relocating to LA?

I vote "YES" for the Bears to move back to Decatur. -
I haven't had the flu since I was in high school. I got the flu shot when my son was an infant, thinking "I'd protect him by protecting me". Sure enough, 2 days later, I was diagnosed with pneumonia. Not the flu, but I was literally NEVER sick, had the shot, and within 48 hours was using a nebulizer for the next 2 weeks. Needless to say, I've never gotten another flu shot. I eat 3 squares, engage in cardio exercise daily, and lead a happy life. My lifestyle predispositions me for health, not sickness. I'll get the flu shot if I ever get the flu again. 20+ years strong, knock on wood!

This... The margin of talent in the NFL is so razor thin... Players, while important pieces, are really interchangeable (if you don't count the dominant/franchise/HOF type players). The big money is in the front office, which is not mandated by the salary cap. Yeah, the Bills always had the same players as every other team, but the front office has been a second rate operation compared to other teams for quite some time. Yeah, yeah, the team was marketed well; however, football operations have clearly been the common thread between 1999 and now. All this changes with a new owner... There will be clear upgrade in front office talent, there will be a clear plan, and current "players" from the old regime will be phased out. Is Whaley really good? For now, sure, why not. Is Marrone really good? Jury's out on that one... Are the scouts, training staff, medical staff, salary cap people, etc. good enough? Well, 15 years without playoffs mean no! We will all begin to see a major upgrade. Unfortunately, like the Sabres, it will take some time. I'm willing to give time if there's clear direction though. Change is tough, change requires difficult decisions and time. It took Kraft like 7 years to buy the team out of bankruptcy and win a Super Bowl. Now, they're worth AT LEAST 1.4 billion. Allen, same thing. Bought the team, took about 7-8 years before getting to a Super Bowl. Can it be done here? Heck yes.

Littman was essential the CFO of Ralph Wilson's business while Ralph was living and then became the CFO of his trust when he died. Yes, he was the CFO of the Bills; however, he worked for Ralph, not the Bills. Ralph was a very smart man and he had set this plan in motion at least 20 years ago. I never faulted Littman for holding back the $$. He was doing his job, and obviously he did his job VERY well based on the wire transfer this week.
