apparently you have forgotten the miami game in 2001. or the pats game in 2003. That was a forgettable game, but i'm not about to give up on them yet. Bad bad game by everyone. Hopefully the statement has been made.

Since rich gannon and that other guy are so "good" at announcing in this intense game, they have neglected to update MW... that is unless i missed it by turning to a real nfl game. any update?

I think the whole "dark uniforms in head" argument is bunk... Both teams are hot as you know what. We've got those fans with the water sprayer on the sidelines. I think it doesn't really matter what uniforms the bills win.

I just mean for this weekend... I am in agreement that the blackout rule is a very good rule for the league and its fans. However, to make a special exception for the blackout to be lifted for new york city, and not for the rest of the league, on its self proclaimed charity day, is bad PR... Unfortunately, relevant news media has not make this little nugget newsworthy. But yes, the blackout rule is a strong and good rule for everyone. I'm very very glad that i live out of market for all nfl teams. This allows me to watch any game.

That's why i added the disclaimer to my original thread... I honestly haven't heard anything about mesi in a few months. Do you know what's up with him? I think the last i heard was around easter or so. Anyhow, if he would retire, he'd retire undefeated which is pretty cool if you ask me.
-
but they won't do that... I mean, why expose the crappy buffalo, pittsburgh, or new orleans (hypothetical) markets to their commercialized product. This is the only aspect of pro sports that makes me resent being a fan.
-
they now should lift the blackout for ALL league games not sold out this weekend... after all, it is hurricane relief weekend. If i were a bucs fan, living in tampa, i'd probably watch tv to see those red cross commercials if the bucs were on than if the default cbs game was on

Anyway we can get the league to waive a rule?
Corp000085 replied to seq004's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
we can't get the league to do anything, unless we get every nfl fan to boycott merchandise and going to the games. This is the league that can still blackout the hurricane game on monday night (unless it sold out in time... anyone? bueller? bueller? bueller?) -
17-6 buffalo... willis will get his yards. jp will throw his first INT. the defense will destroy jim beam griese... remember, they're still pissed off about giving up that non td to carr... i see them shutting the bucs out of the end zone today. I'm beginning to bite on the hype of the bills... On the same note, i'm really sick of the hype of these pretender teams like the bucs and their stupid car name RB... When was the last time a cadillac was relevant anyways?? 1975, before they put a v-6 into the eldorado? i mean, come on... But yeah, JP manages the game... maybe puts up some good yardage. This looks like a good token 100 yard game for moulds too... he's been quiet and slightly injured... that's when he's at his best.

if he does indeed fight again (haven't heard much on the mesi front lately), he better be careful. It's one thing to win or lose, but its another to be comatose or dead. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/ne...tory?id=2164836

I believe that my favorite sports quote of all time should come into play here. Jeremy roenick was dissing the avalanche and patrick roy. Dissing them big time. When roy was asked to comment on what JR had said, roy replied "What, did JR say something? I couldn't hear him because i had my stanley cup rings stuck in my ears." It's hard to admit it here, since we all think Jim Kelly walks on water, but the bottom line of any pro sports, no matter if it be basketball, hockey, baseball, or football is that its all about the ring, and in the end, you're judged against the ring. I can think of one case where the "best ever" line can be thrown around without a ring: Ted Williams.

Bills LB's on NFL Network when?? tomorrow?
Corp000085 replied to TDRupp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
replayed sometime after 11... i don't have tivo veto power over the oc or survivor, both at 8... so i'll settle for the later showing. -
Ok, let me interjetct a vote for brady as the #1 QB right now, and in the top five in the super bowl era. Montana is #1. Till a QB wins 5 super bowls, montana will be #1, and no amount of arguing will detract from that. Brady has won with scrubs and stars. He's won by virtue of a gift call. He's won by playing hard. He's won by playing hurt. He's simply won super bowls. You can't discredit that. It is possible to have a great QB who hasn't won the super bowl (kelly, marino), but it is IMPOSSIBLE to have a bad QB to win multiple super bowls (i left out the single SB winners like doug williams and dilfer). I would not take manning. He audibles... great... he studies thje digital pictures after he gets off the field on 4th down. great. he can't win in january, and untill he does, he'll be a choker... Not saying he's not a great QB, but brady is better. McNabb falls into a "Mr. October" category for me. yeah, he gets his numbers. yeah, he's tough as nails, yeah he's a great qb, but again... he choked at 3 straight home nfc championship games, and needed a nap to finish the super bowl. Culpepper? Green?? are you kidding me? i would take these guys on a fantasy team, but i wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole if i were building a REAL team. Favre is one of the best QBs all time... unfortunately, he's washed up, so i wouldn't take him with an 11 foot pole. Now, if you line up every great QB and have them in their prime for one single game, now that's a good case for an argument. But for the love of god, do not put a 3 time champion against mark bulger or trent green in a "who's better" contest... By the way, i'd take Otto Graham.
