  1. well i think its agreeable to assume that jauron is a better head coach than mularkey. With that said, i'd like to see someone come in as DC. Jauron has specifically said that he'd leave the offensive coaching entirely to the OC, so what else is the guy going to do?? its not like he'll be drinking pina colatas at st. john fisher all day. but yeah, a young, figurehead, learn-on-the-job type of guy is what's going to happen.
  2. I know it was their base defense all year, they had the minds and personnel to make the change, but it was the point that they actually changed formations. It wasn't that impressive for those teams to change to their base formation, or to the 4-2-5. I guess my point was that i miss the days when coaches would actually adjust.
  3. Clements hired as Green bay QB coach http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-p...ov=ap&type=lgns 24 hours later, Favre leans towards retirement. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2311729 coincidence? (my point is, i'm very glad to have finally rid ourselves of the putrid coaching staff of TD)
  4. you know, after watching the comeback on espnclassic earlier today, i realized a few things. a) I miss those days b) the single greatest PLAY in bills history was don beebe knocking the ball from leon lett. c) for all we talk, marv doesn't appear to have aged one day since 1993 d) i really miss those days e) the bills defense actually switched from a 4-3 to a 3-4 MIDGAME... Yes folks, they switched to an entirely different philosophy during the 15 minute intermission. I yearn for the days when the coaching staff wasn't so dumb, and i'm hoping that those days are gone with our new dick jauron. The bills defense didn't have the coaching to switch bitzing schemes mid-season, let alone an entire philosophy change mid-game. And that was with walt corey as the coordinator. f) it was nice to see jerry gray get torched in that game
  5. I can't believe that after all those gender-bending outfits and man-boy thoughts and ideas, this is just a divorced guy looking to get laid.
  6. Johnnie Lynn Bio
  7. I generally don't like to make predictions, especially when the coaching staff hasn't been completed, FAs haven't left or been signed, the draft hasn't happened, player development/injuries have not occured in the minicamps/training camp/and pre season. With that said, it could go either way. this is the NFL after all, where the talent level is pretty even around the league. Don't know what jauron has to bring to this team yet. But, i'll boldly predict 19-0 and super bowl champions, and i'll stick with that prediction till we lose our first game (18-1 then, naturally). Always the optimist.
  8. There has to be more behind the scenes stuff with the guy... I mean, favre or not, the guy put together a very impressive record with green bay. One terrible year later, and the guy is fired and turned down by the only team he interviewed with for a former loser coach. Makes you wonder if the grass truly is greener. Sherman's 2005 season can be paralleled with levy's 94 season, where both teams sucked after great runs (levy's accomplishments being much better than shermans, but the point remains). Now, imagine if levy had been fired after that one 5-11 season... We'd ALL conclude that he did something very bad to get fired. You know, if marv passed on sherman for a guy with the "credientials" as jauron, maybe we're all luckier for that.
  9. you do have to wonder why these so called "good" coaches, like martz and sherman are still out there. Kinda makes you wonder if levy and ralph were as "stupid" as some of us thought they were.
  10. that story sounds errily familiar to my 9/11 "where were you" story... except mine was at RIT.
  11. 20 years ago today, 1/28/1986, the space shuttle Challenger broke apart and exploded about a minute into flight. To that, i'd like to say that we all remember and will never forget. RIP crew. To that, i'd like to add my personal story: We were in first grade and my teacher actually knew mculloff (sp?) so we personally talked to her on the phone about 2 weeks before the launch. On the day of launch, we watched on a tv in the classroom. Needless to say, it was the most vivid memory of elementary school as well as one of the most horrifying things to take part in. Again, RIP
  12. the same reason an unemployed single mother of 3 (ages 3.5, 2, and 6 months) uses her welfare money on cigarettes. stupid is as stupid does.
  13. he's good at what he does. Just ask gregg "We'll see about that after looking at the tape" williams
  14. he runs a church in north carolina. i doubt he'd leave his religious obligations to coach. With that said, i'd love for him to leave his religious obligations to coach!
  15. ask the 1992 houston oilers about what a bunch of pro bowlers gets you.
  16. It's all good... they still have this guy and no, its not another shameless pixyland link
  17. Keanu reeves=RJ, so unless you know something i don't, then everything is still ok.
  18. I'd rather laugh at mularkey next year than throw angry barbs at him. If there was tampering as has been accused, how would the bills go about bringing a case?
  19. and i say good... If he wins it it will teach him that nothing is given to you, plus it will push him to try hard every practice and game. If he doesn't get it, then he should never have had it in the first place, so its no big loss.
  20. no problem... i believe this site would be close to crashing during the bills super bowl victory parade with people whining about this or that. its just the nature of the beast.
  21. at 8 and at midnight... the show is classic now anyways, wyche and jamal dirty ACL bird anderson were discussing the super bowl week. I flipped because the sabres game was starting, but wyche was talking about how bill walsh dressed up as a doorman at the 49ers team hotel and 2/3 of the players didn't recognize him. he told stories about preperations and stuff. The really interesting thing was that he was at the OBD facilities and had a bills banner hanging behind him. So, as of the taping of this show (sometime yesterday or today) SW is actively working for the buffalo bills.
  22. jauron breathed funny (he said he'd try to win) at the press conference and some tbders jumped all over him (for not saying he WILL win).
  23. Will he "try to do the best that he can do" or will he "win games, provided X, Y, and Z"?
  24. you are very blessed.
