Holy crap! The "Daniel Briere Full Season Statistics Extrapolation" theory has finally been applied! seriously though, its really impossible to judge last year's statistics for any offensive player. The coaches had that team so screwed up that you almost have to flush everything about last year down the toilet. I'm cautiously optimistic for 2800-3000 yards for losman this year, if he does not pull an RJ and get hurt.

see, this is why i should have not watched the finale of treaure hunters instead of the game... The geniuses won by the way. As for bledsoe, from what i saw in the first quarter, he looked pretty decent. Glenn saved his butt on that TD pass, and poor coverage allowed that second one to be caught and not intercepted like it should have been. 2 tds, 150+ yards, and a 70%-80% completion rate is pretty good no matter who put those stats up. I just hope that bledsoe sucks in cowboys year 2 like he did in buffalo year 2.

Setta as kickoff specialist

from: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/features/...981228/nfl1228/ from: http://www.steelersfever.com/nfl_history_of_rules.html So, we were both wrong... The tee size and the location of the kicks were changed in 94... I believe in 2000 the NFL started to use that black cup tee thing rather than the orange tripod tee, which had an effect on kickoffs. Either way, i still think that we should only have lindell. It's a complete waste of a roster spot... even the 1991 bills, with a hall of fame laden talent pool cut brad delouiso (sp?)... and after all that research, i don't even have a clue if delouso played in 91, 92, or 93 for the bills, nor do i care! -
Did you catch how theisman was giving bledsoe credit for "double patting the ball and hanging int he pocket" and how it was great? The best part was when kornheiser immediately said "its a double edge sword. When that play works, it works, and the rest of the time, the pocket collapses on top of bledsoe" You guys were ripping the MNF crew last week, in which i did not see the game. However, tirico and kornheiser are refreshing from al michaels and madden. I can do without theisman though, as can most people.

i don't think we're going to beat NE. I KNOW we're going to beat NE. This is the start of something special. To quote darryl talley, "this is a team, damn it!"

Setta as kickoff specialist

Lindell's kicks were very strong last year. Our coverage unit was amazing too, which sorta negates the necessity (sp? i'm too tired to look it up) to get touchbacks all the time. I was not suggesting that we have a kickoff specialist. Our team has too many holes to have one. As for the history, i believe they moved the kickoff spot from the 35 to the 30 around 1991 or so. The tee size was decreased around 2000. I do recall that the tee reduction had a major effect on christie's kickoffs. -
Peter King predicting Bledsoe to backup Romo

but, but, but... Wonder if he'll throw away all his kids cowboys merchandise if that move is made... -

I thought lindell was actually hitting the end zone last year on his kickoffs? Maybe i'm wrong. I do miss the days of steve christie, where he'd actually get some touchbacks on a regular basis. -
I don't know the specifics of the deal, but i believe ralph has a $$ interest in NOT selling the naming rights to the stadium (or if they are sold, the profits go to erie county instead of ralph)... I believe one of the main points that must be addressed when ralph attends training camp in the sky is the deal with the stadium and the county. If a big money guy like golisano buys the bills, he should also look at the stadium deal.

he's got a wrenched back... hopefully he'll be at the opener! -
Losman has the potential to be very good but
Corp000085 replied to firstngoal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
my advice is for you to get over it... Losman's our guy... If he does well, then great... TD actually did something right. If not, release him after this year and roll with another option at QB. But nitpicking over other QBs is fruitless... Had this board been alive in 1983-1986, it would have crashed daily discussing how we picked up some snobby guy who wouldn't play for us and chose the USFL instead of dan marino. -
Can we put the McGahee Bad posts to rest?
Corp000085 replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, he's not in Fast Freddie's league till he gets chased down with a 20 yard head start. -
While we fret about JP Losman...

yeah, that defense is pretty terrible. I guess the positives that can be drawn are that TKO and vincent were out and that it is preseason. However, Meshawn and chad johnson shredded us 2 weeks in a row. Not good. -
Jauron's post-game interview

that was one crazy game... ricky puts up 250 yards on us, yet we still blow them out in a blizzard. I'm glad that i was there! yeah, my wife watches that horrible show. You know, you'd think that as a guy, i'd be really into a behind the scenes pro cheerleader show? Well, i'm not. I'd rather watch HGTV. -
this is one reason why i'm very excited to see the replay tomorrow... the O-line is so improved over last year, even if it is by default. Very refreshing.

I also notice that ESPN seems to always show anti-bills hilights when spotlighting a player... For example, the junior seau story today... What do they show of his 17 year career, mostly with the chargers? A hilight from a few years ago with miami sacking bledsoe and making some tackles on the bills. Same with ricky williams... I dare you to TIVO a ricky williams hilight reel where he's not steamrolling a buffalo bill linebacker. -

Corp000085 replied to MadBuffaloDisease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well, hopefully he'll be cut tomorrow... With aiken playing well, roscoe playing well, and reed still playing like crap, you almost can't justify keeping him. -
it may have been one play, ibut wasn't it awesome to see a buffalo running back run a counter or sweep play to the outside and actually break a long run? I'm so used to watching the blocking break down or the RB fall into a pile. I want to see that in the regular season!

the touch on that TD sorta erases the bad plays... -
i just saw the hilights on nflnetwork and that INT was all reed... He should have cut inside but cut outside. Evans had some good catches, and that TD was a monster catch. Willis' 40 time dropped from last year
-
yeah... i didn't want to offend anyone too much!
-
as a side note, i do love the fact that the term "high motor guy" has turned into an acceptable racial slur against white football players.

see, this is why i need to actually SEE a pre season game... I literally tuned on the bills after levy/jauron were signed and watched the sabres. I couldn't tell you any of the current offensive line starters and i only know that shobel is starting on d, right now. I'll be good to go after i can see them again. (when's that damn bengals game?)
