    I've had some nicer watches, but I'm really into Russian mechanical watches, specifically Vostoks, mostly Soviet era. They're nearly indestructible, and I don't feel bad modding them because they're plentiful and cheap-ish. I started wearing a watch because I wanted one less excuse to look at my phone. It helped me cut my screen time in half.

    I was born three weeks before the storm hit. When they found out the power would be out for an extended period of time, a bunch of my family ended up at my uncles house, because he had a wood stove. My mother has a great Polaroid of me sleeping in a laundry basket fashioned into makeshift bassonett.
