  1. This guy is extremely productive....EXTREMELY productive. He has been in the league three years and his numbers are comparable to many greats. What the moves they just made say about this regime at the Bills is they are about productivity and not potential. So am I. I like it and think its an upgrade. Sammy was CONSTANTLY injured. I don't see that stopping. Best case scenario he has an absolute breakout year.. Then what? We pay him huge money and we're still not sure if he is durable. Jordan Matthews is an upgrade. I don't care how could somebody can be. I care how good they are and how productive they are. Matthews has proven he can be very productive three years in a row.
  2. I used to indulge myself in the minutia and details of every offseason. I am now at a point where I have taken a big step back and am tired of trying to figure out if we're going to be good or try to convince myself we're going to be good. I don't look at the details. I want to see the product on Sundays. Period. That being said, while I have taken a huge step back, the little I have seen from McDermott looks great. Intense. Well spoken. Confident in every arena. Intelligent. A football personality (tough and carries himself well). I'm not sure I have a critique of what I've seen. Time will tell.
  3. All of the question marks going into this season ended up working out. In other words our offense performed to the level we expected to need it to, however, everyone was questioning it. TT had a great year. There should likely be more buzz about finding our QB. My only concern is his size and as a result his durability. However, he did show this year that he was somewhat durable only missing two games despite taking a lot of hits. All of the things us Buffalo fans and the media fully expected to be very good this year did not pan out. In other words, the defense fell flat on its face when we fully expected it to be elite. Thanks Rex.
  4. Look, when a team has an elite QB on their team, the coach and GM always look good. An elite QB covers up poor defensive play and a lot of sub-par skill players as the QB can overcome this. Then the team wins and everybody thinks the GM is a genius. If Aaron Rodgers weren't the QB and you were judging this man solely on the other areas of the Packers, you likely wouldn't be impressed.
  5. When? Last year when he got up and limped after every play.
  6. I'm in Indianapolis. I'm actually heading out there for this game too.
  7. Hahaha. Everybody plays through stuff. Most guys don't talk about it after every game or stand up after every third play holding what is sore and making sure the world knows they are not 100%. So far he's been doing it again this year. I see a pattern. I hope it's just an unlucky stretch in his first 20 games. We'll see. But yeah, I am sick of that.
  8. If Sammy Watkins returns and then I see him get up after a play in this game and act hurt, I am not going to be happy. The guy might be a little bit of a wuss from what I have seen so far. It's either that or his body is as frail as an old woman with osteoperosis. He was nursing injuries and limping off the field every other game last year. Now this year, every week it's been one thing or another. The most important ability is availability and Sammy has been far from ideal in that category. From what I have seen in his year and a quarter in the league, I'm not sure his body can hold up. Once he returns from this injury, I am going to be keeping a close eye on him. If he gets injured again in a short period of time, then I would say his career is seriously in jeopardy. I hope he comes back and is a tough guy and proves to be a durable player. However, from what I've seen thus far, I would be quite surprised if that happened.
  9. I agree with the sentiment of this post. I already have concern over Rex's coaching ability. We all love him as the PR guy but I'm even beginning to wonder about his defense. Schwartz had the right scheme for these players and what he did made sense. I can't help but see a lot of incompetence and lack of just common sense out of some of the defensive decisions. I mean, this is just one example but I've been seeing things like this every game all over the place. The Titans and Mariota like to get rid of the ball quickly. We know this going in. How was it that Mariota's first read on a lot of plays was wide open with room to run. This is EXACTLY what you should be taking away every play. It's just frustrating as a fan and has me concerned about Rex long term.
  10. The Bills have to counter this by playing very tight coverage early in the down. If they don't, they lack competence.
  11. Love the idea and the outside the box thinking. I'm for it! Brady might counter by just getting rid of the ball; throwing it at someone's feet or something.
  12. Anybody in favor of this rule and defending it on here is not very intelligent.
  13. I may look like a drunk right now but actually I'm stone cold sober. This is actually a powerful meditative ritual I do to get the Bills out of a funk. Turn it around boys!!!!!
