Incognito was mistake to let go
Yard Monkey replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's apply some logical reasoning to this. Did you ever think about the fact that he DIDN'T want to sign a contract to play for the Bills when he became a free agent in the offseason?? Should the Bills have held a gun to his head and made him stay or stick with the players that are interested.....? -
Plus...who better to learn from than Jackson....much better mentor than Blunt Lynch

Bills starting to get respect

I thought Ray Lewis said something like the Bills had better look out because the Ravens were going to crush them....or something to that effect? -
Maybe I shouldn't be, but I'm shocked it took until the 4th page for someone to mention this. Forget all of the other rational reasons why trading Spiller is dumb, this is, first and foremost, the main reason why this would never be done! Yo OP / FITZ, you think your a great GM in your own mind, but maybe you should take a course in Salary Cap 101. They have this thing called a "salary cap" in the NFL....learn it, understand it before you take that GM job!

....and it takes a real fair weather friend jackass to start an f'd-up thread like this early in a game. Hope you shut the game off and did not get to see that comeback! There was a hell of a lot of talent and heart on the Bills. The Bengals have a serious chemistry imbalance...

Fascinating! Thanks for the post. Interested to see how this develops....

McDermott on thin ice in Philly?
Yard Monkey replied to Lintyfresh85's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Prove it. He did little last year after taking over for Jim johnson (RIP). He is doing little with the defense this year to distinguish himself...the Titans game being only the most recent example. -
Exactly! Has Wade's lawsuit against Ralph been settled? Even if it has, Wade would likely NEVER work for Ralpha again.....

I think someone needs to beat you into using paragraphs....unless a light spanking will do the trick. Oh, and using spanking children as an approach to teaching them as a comparison to violent hits that lead to knocking someone out is just nonsense. A more appropriate comparison would be to old school coal miners....they used to deal with workplace conditions that led to a significantly reduced life expectancy including terrible diseases like black lung disease. This is only the start. With all of the recent findings on the severity of head trauma and the medical condition of ex-players, the legal and medical costs of the current NFL model are a huge risk and must be changed quickly. Sorry, but your nostalgic view of the joys of big hits will take a back seat to the financial realities of life in a non-third world nation. With that being said, there is always the ufc...

Vick admits he never watched game film with Falcons...

I was at the game. Peters had 2 key holding calls (that I remember). 1 flat out killed a drive. He was beat a few other times and missed a block on a run. Of course there were a few plays where he dominated when he put his mind to it....typical Peter game...flashes of brilliance and flashes of apathy. -
Can't really argue with Florio on this one
Yard Monkey replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't agree at all. The bills have a long term plan. Figure out who on the roster can't play and get rid of them. In the meantime, I'm positive they are working on finding players to replace... -
Seriously? Talk about scapegoating... The only players that looked good on offense were: Edwards Parish Lynch Woods (only because his name wasn't called) Maybe Evans The rest of the offense line was a mess! The last thing I'm worried about is Edwards. I'm surprised he's alive after the mess around him. ...but if your a simpleton and like black and white...blame edwards! With that said, I would have liked to see him throw the ball downfield in the last series bit it was pointless with the blocking....he had defenders in his face within 2.5 seconds...can't throw downfield with that

EXACTLY! There will not be any strategy or exotic play-calling in this one. Here is the double secret gameplan: Starters: Make no mistakes Make good decisions Don't get hurt for the 1-2 series your in the game Backups: Make no mistakes Make good decisions Prove to the coaches you can step in for one of the 1st string players if they go down ...and don't let one of the scrubs catch you! Bubble players / scrubs: Make no mistakes Make good decisions Play your asses off and prove you belong because this might be your last chance at making an NFL roster

I'm trying to find a replay as well since I was not able to set my DVR for last night. There's nowhere else to see it now? -
Philly writer complaining about Eagles O-line
Yard Monkey replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not true. That's not what happened at all. The Bills renegotiated multiple times and they did not have to based on the length of the contracts PETERS signed. The Bills showed more than enough good faith in rewarding the advancements Peters made in his game. The one thing they waited for was to give him the mega-deal until he proved himself at being consistently good over a multi-year period of time, which as we can see he has never done. Very well managed by the Bills.... -
He raped you?
-
I second that...I stop by most days, but rarely post. Thanks Lori (et. al.) for the informative posts and providing a "1 stop shop" for the latest in Bills (and rest of the NFL for that matter!) news....

No he's 51 years old, plus its hard to play when you are strung out on coke these days. Though, I am pretty sure he's in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which is more than a little associated with the NFL. He's also recognized as one of the top players at his position, if not top defensive players in the history of the NFL .... I'm fairly certain ALL NFL players are private citizens. Are you aware of any that are not??

National Championship - Alabama vs Texas
Yard Monkey replied to ProjectPat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, I think you are on the message board of a northeast professional football team, so the whole "ya'll" thing and a discussion about a couple southern college football / semi-pro footbal teams just makes me want to gag ...of course that may be partially because there are no 'local' teams worth a crap so I'm jealous
