  1. Assuming an average inflation rate of 3%, then if stamps were .28 10 years ago, they should be at $.39 now and about $.40 next year. It seems pretty well in line with a conservative inflation rate. Plus, the USPS is exposed to extraordinary inflationary pressure from the current fuel spike and anthrax terrorist attack.
  2. I recently purchased a Harmon Kardon DPR 1001 7.1 channel receiver. It is an all digital receiver all the way until the amplifier. I am more than satisfied with the power and sound quality. It retailed for $999, but I picked it up on a model year end clearance for $599. It dropped to $499 28 days later and the retailer price matched and credited me back the $100 difference. Again, I highly recomend it and the other models from HK.
  3. Union dock workers and the USPS have little or no connection. USPS is primarily a domestic operation -- Union dock workers are involved in international shipping. The outrageous rate of union dock workers is absorbed in the cost of all of the wonderful import products you purchase at your local Wal-Mart.
  4. Rates in the transportation industry have jumped 20-25% this year. This is due to fuel price increases (20% over 2003) and insurance increases. Over the road equipment (Tractors and Trailers) are sky rocketing due to: * increases in the cost of steel * increases in the cost of engines due to new "clean burning" requirements * decreases in the MPG of said "clean burning" engines * increase in demand have pushed prices for new and used equipment up Labor costs are rising some, but it is not due to market pressures vs. union pressures. These rates are rising closer to inflation. With all of that beeing said, the 11-13% increase the USPS is looking for is really on the low end of the rest of the industry.
  5. I'm concerned with Travis. I thought he would play well this year and be valuable trade bait. I don't think we could get a 3rd rounder for him the way this season has gone - especially now that the league sees how TD fleeced the Falcons on the PP trade.
  6. Great comparison. Not a number 1, but a strong complimentary receiver to a #1
  7. The trade ended up crushing the passing game last year when Moulds went down (we were too inexperienced and lacked talent beyond Moulds). With that being said it is really paying off now, since we don't have to pay PP big $$ and we have Willis to show. It is working out really well now! PLUS we still got Kellsey and look how he's starting to play.
  8. So running at a guy and grabbing on his face and pushing his head all the way back until he fell over a seat onto the ground is not as bad as a punch in what way. Your talking semantics - his assualt is in the same category as if he threw a punch.
  9. He'll get better workouts running passing plays in practice. Sending him in the game at that point would be pointless since all he'd do is hand off to running backs. What "live bullets" are in QB/RB hand-offs? If the Bills did sned him in and call passing plays, that would be a disgrace with 20 point lead. They had already whipped the Rams asses enough in the second half...
  10. In the second half, though. In the first half it was mostly Drew and the receivers making plays.
  11. How many passes would they have JP throw with a 17 point lead late in the 4th? Don't understand your point - all the offense was going to do is run.
  12. Am I the only one that saw this, but didn't Bledsoe carry the team in the first half: * The defense was not stopping the Rams and gave up points. * McGahee and the running game was shutdown * Special teams were not a factor Bledsoe put up 160 passing yards in the half and was directly responsible for all 17 points. They were able to stop passing in the second half, so he was not able to pad his passing yards. I'll admit he threw an interception in the first half that was a questionable read and a pretty bad throw, but hell even Manning threw 2 picks.
  13. The Rams beat Seattle....?
  14. I think Bledsoe played well. 160 yards passing in the first half is very good, considering he was carrying the team in the first half: * the defense was giving up points * the running game was shut down * the special teams were not a factor Because all of the other phases of the game got hot in the second half, they did not need to throw the ball. Otherwise, the yards passing would be higher. I do want to see more consistancy out of Bledsoe and no more games like last week in NE. He can't cost his team games, just like he probably can't carry a team for the entire game any longer.
  15. Bledsoe will start until the Bills are 'officially' eliminated from the play-offs. Deal with it...
  16. Right they were not blitzing that much and just played different zones - cover 2, cover 3, and cover 5. You need time and patience to pick the zone apart. The unreliable OL did not give time for either, plus Drew read the coverage wrong multiple times. He took a deep shot on double coverage when he should have checked down. On another he read man and the linebacker dropped in a zone and picked it off
  17. I'll give you the stats, but the stats don't explain the reality of what is happening with a Buffalo running game that is in transition. You have had two different RBs that have started games and one game where they supposedly both started. The fact is, they are a very different team than the Pats faced a few weeks ago.
  18. Over their careers - yes. Over the course of this year - NO.
  19. The Patsies did not have to worry about a running game with the Rams. They do this week.....
  20. That's one sick M'Fer. When is he a free agent?
  21. Moulds puts up very good numbers against top CBs in the league. He's up against a practice squad player and a WR pretending to play CB. I'm sure there will be plenty of smash mouth running, but look for Moulds to dominate this secondary. -and BTW, if the Pats overcommit to stopping Moulds, then look for plenty of huge gains with Evans, TEs, and the running game. The only person that can help with Moulds will be Harrison and if he is kept out of the box - look out - the Bills running game will be huge!
  22. Fear. Well, fear of losing $$ through fines, that is.... It appears to be mostly the smaller affiliates.
