That surfing picture is from Wrightsville Beach, NC a few years ago. My girlfriend was trying out her water photography skills......

It sure is. I took the picture at Lion Country Safari in West Palm, Fl. I then did a poor photoshop job and put a Bills helmet on it and called the pic "training camp". The full size looks much better.....

now that was funny....

I had a buddy invite me to his batchelor party in costa rica. As a surfer (and his friend), I would have loved to go, but I would have wanted to surf in lieu of the more "traditional" batchelor party things they had planned (and I couldn't afford it anyway). Needless to say, I didn't make it nor did most of the people he invited. I think when people plan a wedding or pre-wedding party in an exotic place like that they realize most people won't be able to swing it and maybe they are just trying to flaunt their elevated financial status......

I read an article a while back stating that they will have a handful of new "hosts" when Howard leaves for Sirius and David lee Roth was one (actually the only one) of the people mentioned for this role.

The resolution of the imagery varies. it is usually better (higher res) in more populated areas or areas with important landmarks, etc. Aerial imagery is very expensive so I imagine the higher res areas were flown or captured from satellite for another purpose (other than the google toy) in the past.

Funny stuff. It let me back on now. I actually do GIS/remote sensing work for a living so it amazes me that this is all free.....

That was really cool until I got bumped off the server. Anyone else having troubles with it? of course it happened when I was zooming in to Buffalo in hopes of checking out the stadium......

The Get Lucky Guesthouse is a great spot to stay..... make sure you get the upstairs apartment. It is 7 stories up with a great canal view. Oh and they have great "coffee" right next door, too...... good times..... must go back.....
