Would You Rather Go 8-8 With Holcomb
PhilsBills replied to Buffalo Baumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know most like to rag on Holcomb's arm strength, but I do recall at least a handful of nice bombs last year (to Evans or Reed?) by Holcomb. Anybody have stats as far as his longest pass last season? As far as the question of the post, I'd rather Losman step up and play well which should definitely result in more than 4 wins IMO. I know he hasn't played much, but all the practice and time spent on our beloved Bills team should have made him a better, more mature player than when he first joined our team.... -

Steelers QB Ben R. In Motorcycle Crash

1997 - Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Shawn Price injured his elbow in an offseason wreck and missed the beginning of the season. Sorry if already posted..... -
I'd be very upset if they left and like many of you, the NFL would pretty much be a casual viewing experience for me. I'd save a nice chunk of change by cancelling the Sunday Ticket on directv, though! All that aside, I really hope it doesn't happen because I love Bills football (even when we stink) and I can't really imagine life without those fall sunday afternoons with my family (my sister and I haven't missed a game together in years) and friends..... and beer. Hell, even my dogs know when a Bills game is coming on because they go and cower in another room until we score and then they come out and dance to the shout song with me. Go Bills!! Maybe I should change that to "Stay Bills!"

"He brings to Houston a streak of 111 consecutive games with a reception which dates back to 1998." I guess they forgot the Miami game last year? linky

Eric Moulds Appreciation Thread
PhilsBills replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Best of luck Eric. I'll sure miss you being a Buffalo Bill. That said, I hope the Bills make you regret your decision to leave this season by making a run for the playoffs and beyond...... -
Agreed..... It is sad to see him go, even more so considering he WANTS to go. Good luck to him, but better luck to the BILLS!!!!!!

Yes, Locklear's replaced the Starfish Grille. The prices are about the same, but the food is much better IMO. The place on the corner is now Snapper Jack's - a "sports bar". They have great sushi there... There is also some tappas place across from it now, but the name escapes me... Oh yeah, Lost Dog was a good call for the burrito. Cheers....

I'd second Folly beach. I live on James Island- about 10 minutes from "The Edge of America" Folly is very laid back. Go to Planet Follywood and get a Ken's Burger and some PBR drafts. The Dolphin Deli has some great subs and vegetarian options. Cafe Suzanne is great for Sunday Brunch. They recently opened Locklear's on the pier which has great food and a super view. The weather is perfect right now, too. Another few weeks and the "no-see-ums" will tear you up early morning or at dusk...... PM me with any questions....

Optimism in the face of another dismantled dream.

Thanks for this thread. You sound exactly like me. GO BILLS!!!!!! -
It just makes me sad and mad. There is obviously alot going on that we, as fans, are not hearing about. Obviously we don't know Moulds; we only know what we see and read, but it doesn't bode well for the Bills as a whole when a 10 year veteran who has given his all for the team is suddenly so pissed at the coach's decisions that he decides not to play (or is benched). It makes it difficult to get quality free agents to want to go to Buffalo. Let's face it, there are certainly more attractive markets to play in where you can play under the warmth of a dome or under the sunny skies of SD or FL, effectively extending your career more by not having to deal with the (at times) horrendous conditions at RWS. Remember Adams had his issues with the staff, too. Granted, Adams has always been known as a "me" type player, but Moulds has not. Something really stinks and I am not sure who to blame, but Mularkey is only in his second year and Moulds has been there for a decade which leads me to point my finger of blame at the coach and the upper management. GO BILLS!!!!

One more thing I didn’t like hearing was a casual joke by the announcers about Roscoe’s experience in cold weather. It may sound funny but does he have any idea just how bad it can get in Buffalo? I lived in Michigan my whole life and the cold still bites me in the ass, and Buffalo gets it even worse. 520375[/snapback] That was a little troubling when the announcers said Roscoe was scared of the cold weather and wouldn't leave his house when there was 2' of snow on the ground.....

Hmmm..get rid of Moulds,Clements...
PhilsBills replied to Tcali's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, what if he is willing to restructure or take a pay cut again? Would you still want him gone? I feel a very valid point was made regarding the ease with which we could find a replacement for EM- It wouldn't be easy or cheap. I hope he can work on his contract and be back. In the salary cap era, it's nice to have at least one guy as a constant. -

Thank you. There are many problems with this team, but Moulds isn't one of them. He is one of the few bright spots at this point. His numbers may be down, but are anyone's numbers up this year? Mcgahee? Evans? GO BILLS!!!!!! -
Moving from Florida but where to go????
PhilsBills replied to Bills/Sabresfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Charleston, SC is a very nice place to live. it is more expensive than other areas in the state, but offers alot of culture and outdoor activities. Columbia, SC is where I grew up and I like that area alot , too. -
I'll never understand all the EM negativity on here. I have always liked the fact that he will voice his opinion (even if it is at times negative). I seriously doubt that he was going out of his way NOT to help JP develop. Why would he do that? JP has a cannon (supposedly) that should suit Moulds, Evans and Parrish. It seems silly to call a 10 year (?) Bills player a punk or loser. He wants the Bills to win, we want the Bills to win (at least most of us do). He has shown this season that, when given the opprtunity, he can still dominate and put points on the board. Keep it up Eric and GO BILLS!!!!!

Bills got a spark from Holcomb
PhilsBills replied to Nick in RaChaCha's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh you mean like when he got open in the endzone for a touchdown? Or when he made that spectacular catch to put Lindell in range for a very important fg? or the other 5 receptions he had yesterday? Do you like "not winning"? Moulds is vocal and rightly so. I like his enthusiasm. He showed he still has "it" yesterday when many here like to label him as done. He has alot left in the tank and will continue to show that as long as he has a qb that can accurately throw the ball... The man has been with the Bills through thick and thin (mainly thin) and has expressed his desire to remain a Bill many times so why not cut him some slack?? GO BILLS!!!!!! -
good one....

My Moulds gameday jersey will be in the closet
PhilsBills replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly.... Moulds can say whatever he wants. He has owned the fins in the past and will continue that this week. GO BILLS!!!!! -
At this point in their careers, I would take to heart what Moulds says over JP any day. Moulds has taken pay cuts to be in Buffalo time after time. I am sure he will do the same again this off season. He is my favorite Bill and IMO he has every right to voice his displeasure with the way the offense has been regressing. He is a top notch receiver, who just wants to get his catches and win the games. If JP was lighting it up consistently, Moulds would probably be the first to be very vocal about how well JP was doing. He is a vocal player with alot of heart and is only saying what he believes. I really hope Kelly can find Moulds in the endzone this weekend on our way to squishing the fish. GO BILLS!!!!!

With all the attention being placed on the f-up in the pats-pitt game, did anyone notice any strange clock movement in the Bills game sunday? I was watching the clock (on directv) and during the 3rd and 4th quarter, the clock would skip 2 seconds once about every 10-15 seconds. I can't speak for the first half (I wasn't paying attention), but I found it kind of weird. It doesn't sound like much time, but it was doing it EVERY 10-15 seconds. Do you guys think there is some way the tv clock was just slow and catching up? Does it always do that? Maybe fezmid (or others with tivo) can confirm from the game recording. cheers and GO BILLS!
