Honestly, I don't get White or Edge being in a movie with Page. From what I hear, they have little to talk about with Page, and the whole thing seems contrived. I'm sure guitar worshipers will find something to like in it, though.

This was posted earlier, but I don't see the thread now. It may have been moved to PPP.

Comodo will disable your Windows Firewall (as it should). If you uninstall a 3rd party firewall, you will need to re-enable the Windows Firewall. EDIT: Remember, do not install SafeSearch and Ask.com toolbars. You want the Comodo Firewall and Defense + only. -
You might want to check with David Bowie before making that switch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKTHvW2JcAA

I think any discussion of female bassists needs to include Tal Wilkenfeld. First because she looks good, but mostly because she is a kick-ass bass player: http://www.lendavispresents.com/wp-content..._wilkenfeld.jpg http://www.shaneushijima.com/wp-content/up...2009/08/tal.jpg

His college production. The same way any rookie is predicted to be good, or mediocre, etc.

If you are looking for a good free firewall, Zone Alarm isn't it, IMO. It used to be OK, but it has become very bulky and bundled with crap. It is better than XP's built-in firewall, though. I think the best free firewall is still Comodo. But Comodo is now trying to sneak a toolbar onto your machine, and comes bundled with their AV product, too. If you decide to use Comodo, do NOT install the toolbar, and only install the firewall after you download. Comodo can be fairly complex, and you will have to tame it, early on. Comodo is a full-featured firewall (and comes with HIPS protection), unlike many other free firewalls. Online Armor also has a good reputation, but I'm not crazy about their free version. It doesn't update itself, and doesn't have an installation setting (for when you are installing or updating software) so it is very intrusive. That may have changed since I last used it, though. The paid-for version is very nice. Outpost also has a decent firewall. The free version isn't as good as the paid-for version, but it is better than nothing (and probably better than Zone Alarm). Quick Edit: It is better to have a hardware firewall and best to have both. But a good software firewall is the least you should have. -
I see Matt Damon is also in the movie.

For those who think the Bills are a mess ...
The Dean replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have to agree it is supremely stupid, despite it being a tradition. I think Coye Francies overreacted. After all, he should know it is part of being a rookie, and it isn't personal. But that doesn't mean the whole hazing tradition isn't stupid and uncalled for. -
Indeed, but Oscar grunts softer and more melodically than the others. Gould, Peterson, Ashkenazy, Horowitz are some of my favorite pianists...along with The Senator, of course. (Actually, The Sen turned me on to the classical pianists on that list). I thought Van Cliburn became famous when he won the Cliburn Competition. And, WTF, no love for Liberace?

If you can't take criticism, you probably won't like it here. I think some of us acknowledged that Ralph has been cheap on many occasions. You were chastised for using Runyan as an example of that cheapness. Your understanding of football was attacked because you too the truism "Ralph is cheap" and applied it in a situation where it wasn't relevant. Maybe you should think about context, instead of venting your displeasure with Ralph at every move (or non-move).

Terrific movie. Gould was an interesting cat. He sure grunted a lot when he played, though. (So does Keith Jarrett.)

I'm giving you a pass on this one, Mr. Dan. But it's probably a good thing that you had to do a reinstall. If I recall correctly, your computer was all screwed up, anyway. -

How long before Rob Ryan starts undermining Mangina? -
Buffalo has real character. It has real culture, even if much of it isn't "high culture". It has neighborhoods, not just developments. I'll take a city like Buffalo, Pittsburgh or Milwaukee over Jacksonville, any day.

George is a converted WR, who filled in decently at safety. He does a fine job, when called upon, but Byrd, Whitner, Scott are lifelong DBs who excel at their positions. Scott plays SS, and George really isn't suited for that. So for Wilson to see much time at FS, that would mean that Whitner or Byrd are on the sidelines, for the most part. George is a good guy to have on the team, IMO, so I'm not putting him down. He has good speed and ball instincts. He is a fine backup and a terrific ST guy.

If were deep at corner why are we giving up so many yrds?
The Dean replied to seq004's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As most have noted, in the two games so far, the D stuffed the run, so the opposition went almost exclusively with the pass. But to answer your main question, a good deal of the passing yardage gained against the Bills hasn't come against the CBs. Most has been underneath stuff, taking advantage of the LBs and the short zone the Bills often give. It should be an area of concern, but it isn't time to panic. The Bills passing D is far better than the ranking, so far. -
I like George. It's good to see him on ST. But I take his absence from the defense as a good sign.

Greggo wanted Brees in the 01 draft
The Dean replied to bills_fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. If the Bills drafted Brees, he'd likely be long gone, by now. -
That is Sora Aoi. A very nice Japanese AV Idol. Do a Google Image search on her. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sora_Aoi Of course, it will be different soon, as dib changes his avatar frequently.

While you didn't ask me, I have lived in Niagara Falls (a real hell-hole now), Buffalo, Boston, San Francisco, LA, Huntington (Long Island), Milwaukee (for a short time) and now St. Augustine. There are some very nice places to live down here. Jacksonville just doesn't happen to be one of them. There are decent neighborhoods, to be sure, but let's not pretend J-Vills is a bustling metropolis or that there is so much to do there. It's a hick-town. A place where a chain restaurant is considered a fine eating establishment. St Augustine is nice, Ponte Vedra is nice...but Jacksonville? Puhleeze. But tell me, other than "go to the beach" or golf, what is there to do on a Sunday afternoon that you can't do in WNY once the weather changes? In Buffalo you can go skiing, or enjoy other winter activities. You can go a number of Casinos in the USA and Canada. And, Toronto (a real big city) is just a drive away. Where do you go on Sunday that makes it so difficult to go to an NFL game? And Magox, Jacksonville isn't a college town. They may like college football, but there is no large college of any consequence in Jacksonville. Buffalo is a far better college town.

Crabtree to re-enter draft
The Dean replied to Wilson from Gamehendge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I also tried to check it out (very briefly) and came up empty. Makes some sense, I guess. But maybe the 49ers could have another team draft him, and then trade his rights to them. There has to be a way. -
Crabtree to re-enter draft
The Dean replied to Wilson from Gamehendge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have a very logical gut. -
I'm not sure he should be a #1 pick, but I am fairly certain he will be. EDIT: That should read "1st round pick"
