  1. I used to be more of a Boeheim basher, too. I've come to respect him more over the years when he actually did a lot with less talent than he used to have. But I think the fact that he has placed so few successful players in the NBA is a knock on Jimmy B. He just doesn't develop these superb athletes into pro players, and that's his job, IMO. I know many will disagree, but as a college coach he should be developing the skills players need at the next level. I don't think Michael Jordan would have been half the NBA player he became if Jim B was his college coach.
  2. I wasn't crazy about the Goat Head, but it is a masterpiece when compared to the slug.
  3. I wonder how you determine which player has phony religion and which player is genuine. I also think he will be taken in the 1st, or 2nd at the worst. I don't think the Bills should take him that high, though. Hell, if he is available in the 4th or 5th I'd be thrilled if the Bills drafted him.
  4. I was given a Sluggo hat (very nice, except for the slug). I gave it to my Dad. He doesn't care.
  5. Not much difference from when they copied encyclopedia articles back when I was young. Or copied straight from the cave walls back when you were in school. It's just a little bit easier now.
  6. Good riddance to the slug!
  7. Not bad. And there are actually a few I have yet to see.
  8. If you are getting popups and Malwarebytes won't open, I doubt that is connected to a FF update. I'd try running Malwarebytes in safe mode and see what happens. If it doesn't open, try running SuperAntiSpyware Portable off of an USB stick to see if you have a cootie or two: http://www.superantispyware.com/portablescanner.html
  9. I don't think most (or any) here have a problem with Tim wanting to pray. They have a problem with him trying to get others to pray. That is being disrespectful to those who have no interest.
  10. Honestly I think it is just as rude as a stranger asking someone to pray with him. I'm guessing Tim knows he might get a direct response when he makes such a direct request. If not he is fooling himself. Now I wouldn't have told him to "shut the *** up", but I might have said "Praise Satan!" or "Yabba Dabba Do!" Edit: Furthermore, if you are talking about what someone "might have said", maybe Tim should have requested a "moment of silence" instead of insisting on prayer.
  11. We must have different definitions of "yelling uncle". Saying "OK, I give you are right" is yelling uncle. I don't think I ever suggested I would do that. Attempting to get a group of disparate individuals to engage in your particular religious ritual is a hell of a lot close to forcing beliefs than anything I said is to saying uncle.
  12. I'll put in a good word with the Easter Bunny for you!
  13. Is a commuted Christian required to proselytize? I know some believe that. I happen to know plenty of Christians who would never attempt to force their beliefs on others
  14. I think that's what they did. They just chose different words. I think this story has the elements of humor. Laughing at the overtly pious has always been funny, IMO. I wonder how they would have reacted if Tim, or some other test taker suggested they sing the Flintstones song before the test was given. That would be fun, too. It would also be irrelevant. Would those who question the response to Tebow's suggestion be as adamant in their criticism if Tim, or another test-taker, said "Let's praise Satan" before the test" Or maybe if he said, "Praise Allah!" As far as I'm concerned, he can say "Yabba Dabba Do!" before the test, and it's fine with me. If he asks me and others to do it, I might take issue with his suggestion.
  15. A VERY strong start to the new season.
  16. I don't watch this show, or ANY of these shows, but... I managed to catch some of the GSI episode as my hotel TV had the worst channel lineup ever and I was doing something else at the time, so I didn't bother to switch the channel. Judging from what I saw, GSI is a really good company and the CEO seems like a genuinely good guy. Of course, this is TV so we should take what we see with a grain of salt. I didn't get to see the Danielle segment, but you could tell from the summary and the way she talked that she wasn't going to last. That she didn't last is a testament to the company. The others I saw were excellent employees. Hopefully the CEO learns from this experience and remembers the lessons in the long run. The jobs done at the lower levels are HARD jobs, usually done for low pay. While many people may have the qualifications for those jobs, on paper, very few have the ability/attitude to perform them at a high level over time.
  17. So, if I read this thread correctly, if Buddy goes to bed, the Bills can't be pursuing anyone. Is that right? There is no chance he could have other people on the phones, talking to agents, interviewing, etc, while the old man gets some shuteye?
  18. Had a really bad experience with it, a while back. Maybe it has improved, though. I might give it a second chance. But it doesn't work the same way Adblock Plus does, from what I can tell.
  19. Great job and nice "bro". BTW, you really flashed some nice chops on the 3/17 post, too. Keep up the good work.
  20. Now that WOT is Chrome compatible I use it more often. When AdBlock Plus has a legit plugin that works, I will use it more. When IETab has a Chrome plugin, I will use it even more. Add NoScript to the list, too. But Chrome isn't easily customizable enough for me, yet. It is real fast, though. Sorry for any spellig mistakes.
  21. I clean and defrag on a regular basis. Also scan for infections and have pretty good security set up. This seems to be a FF 3.6 thing, from what I can tell. It may not be happening to everyone, but it is happening. I may try uninstalling FF and reinstalling to see if that helps. That won't be til next week though, and maybe things will be fixed by then.
  22. I just checked and that control (browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash) is still there, so yes it should work. Just change "true" to "false". For now, I am going to leave the recover setting alone. I had a nice long post and the browser crashed. When it restored I was back at the post window, but everything I typed was missing. Also, my spell check seems to be disabled when the blinking cursor isn't working. It's becoming quite the pain.
