Is there much doubt? I'm guessing Tommy calls him about halfway through the season and he suddenly unretired. It was DISGUSTING! He should have been suspended for the rest of the season. Horseradish is a little spicy. Habanero is HOT! Huge difference in the respective heat levels.

When you read these posts, did you honestly believe this was a RUMOR? If not why post it as such? If so, then it may be we've been overly harsh to a person with extremely limited intelligence. That's not what I intended.

OK, so this is NOT a rumor. It's simply a couple Internet mooks making up trades they think are good. Holy crap what an awful thread.

This Week is the 50th Anniversary of the Agnes Flood

I was living in Niagara Falls at the time. I'm now 65. I have absolutely zero memory of that storm. Can't remember every hearing the name, quite frankly. Did it impact more of the Southern Tier or Eastern part of NYS? -
Putting aside the bad call, the Bills should have never been in that position. The game was in hand with 16 secondsleft. Why would you kick it short and allow them to return it? HUGE coaching error. Everyone knows you kick it away so they have to drive all the way down field! 🙃

Buffalo food suggestions? (I know, I know...people have strong opinions)
The Dean replied to Logic's topic in Off the Wall
I'm guessing special stuff like that depends a lot on the people doing the job. When I first moved to St Augustine, the Publix had the weck rolls already made. They wew decent enough. But then the stopped and it became a special order. They weren't the same. 2-3 carroway seeds. Crappy salt, plastic wrapped etc. -

Ours used to as well. Still might. But they were pretty bad. Making my own from a decent kaiser roll proved much better. -
Happy Father's Day to all you mothers. You never know. Years into Alzheimer's my mother recognized the voice of one of her grandchildren when she called. Very odd. Might as well give it a shot. Not much effort and nothing really to lose. IMO anyway.

I haven't been to Swiston's in years, but always had a great beef there. -

I worked at the Creekview during graduate school. My buddy worked at the Creekside when it was there, where they still cut the beef behind the bar. I had a beef there a year or so ago (gets confusing with age and pandemic) and it was very decent. One quick Creekview story: I started on a Friday night and worked Sunday as well. My next shift was Wednesday and the manager came up to me and said something to this effect: "I hear really good things about you so far. Everyone says you are fast, personable and have fun. The customers love you and the waitress actually seem to have fun when you work. Well, we don't go for that s#it here." He went on to explain, "You can obviously handle that. But the girls get distracted so don't joke around with them." Honest, he said something very close to that. Not surprising since on my first night, as he walked out the door, his last words were "Don't fu#k up!" I actually liked the guy. -

Yes I meant to mention I tend to like the lighter gravy more than the darker/heavier gravy. -

I meant "dark" as in color. Beef gravy tends to be thicker/darker than au jus, which is more translucent. Also joints that serve their BoW with gravy tend to serve their meat on the darker side, in my experience. But not all of them. I don't hate them with gravy, but to me the classic is the Charlie the Butcher, Creekside, Annacone's, etc. back in the day. But I've had good gravy based examples as well. Bailo's at the end was not an example, IMO. Doesn't Andersons use gravy? McPartland's? Those are pretty good -

Absolutely. But I believe it changed hands since I've been there. Perhaps they turned literally to the dark side. -

Every time I've had a Schwabl's beef it was rare and finished in au jus. As God intended. BTW if you find yourself near Main St. In Williamsville, I HIGHLY recommend the Glen Park Tavern. Excellent at beef on weck, wings, fish fry, etc. All around terrific stuff. -

Oh, they give you a choice. I've never had gravy on a beef on weck there. Only the meat and bun dipped in au jus. Been years since I've been there. IMO a place doesn't serve their beef on the rarer side (some pink) then gravy is OK. But a properly made BoW is on the rarer side and has no gravy. Again, IMO of course. Now some gravy for the fries and you're talking! -

Since when did Schwabl's start putting gravy on beef on weck? You thinking about Bailo's? -
Technically there are African Buffalo in the USA. Several zoos and I think wild life preserves have them. They are not native to the continent is what you mean, I guess

The concert was incredible. Snarky Puppy is just fabulous. There were 9 or 10 of them, this time. They only played songs from their upcoming album. It took the crowd 2 songs to sort of catch on. By the time they were done (unfortunately about 90 minutes) they got a pretty good reaction. Still, for opening acts, too many people are chatting away and not paying attention. And while I've seen SD many, many times, this was one of their best performances, IMO. They were very tight. Don was in great spirits and his voice was pretty good actually. The entire band smoked, but as usual, Carlock (the drummer) stole the show. Nice venue, too. You missed a good one, Augie.
