Unfortunately there are several holes in your theory. 1) Indy and SD both have the same record right now. The winner of this weekends game would end up having the tiebreaker advantage based on head to head and thus would be declared the number 3 seed in the playoffs. So no matter what happens this week, next weeks games for both teams will be irrelevant, unless Peyton wants to extend his record against Denver 2) Why would you prefer going to San Diego in stead of Indy for a playoff game? The chargers maybe the hottest team in the league right now. The have won 8 games in a row and have quite possibly the most well rounded team in football. I don't see SD being an easier road trip than Indy. 3) Screw the spread, we're talking playoffs here!

I actually wrote the guy and emailm and got a response, regarding his article about how good are the Bills. He proceeded to knock down every point i made. I said look at the fact that the Bills have scored 30 points in the past 5 games, every game, he said" well that would mean the bills are among the greatest teams of all time" WTF, dude the guy OVERANALYZES EVERYTHING ABOUT THE BILLS its not even worth reading the articles because he's so damn negative

Here's the situation: If the Jets beat the Pats then the Pats will be 12-3 with a conf record of 9-3 If SD wins next week they will be 12-3 with a conf rcord of 9-2. SD could win their season finale at home against KC to go to 13-3 overall with a conference record of 10-2 That would give them a tiebreaker with the Pats because of the conf record, the pats would be 9-3 conf and SD would be 10-2 Could you imagine if the Pats would have to play in the first round against the Jets or, OMG, the BILLS!!!! But I'm not stupid, if we have a chance to play a Pittsburgh team, that will still be tough regardless, undermanned, I'll take it. All good points, I especially like the one about the teams not being intimidated by Belichick. See, Pittsburgh winning next week is so huge for us now. Balt loses, we win, we get a undermanned Pittsburgh team with Tommy Maddox starting. I guess that NE beating the Jets is huge too, but I dont see NYJ losing to the Rams in week 17. I concur!! I think the Jags will lose next week to Houston, The Texans have always played Jax tough and in divison games anything goes. Hey, Houston took the Colts to the limit last week so u never know. I am pretty confident that both Balt and Den will lose next week. Baltimore traveling to Pitt in late December does not bode well for the Ravens. Pittsburgh will win a tight defensive game that will go down to the 4th quarter. Denver, well they suck. Ten is on a roll with their offense and has Denver at home on Xmas day. Volek has been playing pretty good so we gotta pull for the Titans to pull one out. Just please please let us go into the last week at 9-6 with a game ahead of all those teams. I want Pittsburgh to have to win that game so we can beat the sh-- out of them at home and send a message to te rest of the league!! This team is for real!! We get in the playoffs then look out!

One of the best posts on this board in a while!! Look at the history of McGahee in Buffalo. The pick was blasted by critics, fans, pundints and just about everyone. Last year people said trade one of the two backs!! People said trade McGahee, trade Henry!! TD held strong, and the pick has paid off. So has his 31 this year, lee evans. Kelsay is playing solid, Mcgee, good lord, is awsesome. I think the 2003 draft is a success, dont you?

Well if the Ravens win one of their last 3 they will end up 10-6, same record as the Bills. The have the tiebreaker advantage on the Bills. So if we are fighting for that last wild card spot with the Ravens. So how do you figure that they can afford to lose only on game? Unless we somehow end up with the other wild card spotm which is unlikely considering the jets schedules.

Thats pretty much what I was thinking. I appreciate the very well planned out playoff scenarios. I think there is a very good chance Denver will lose to either Tennessee or Kansas City. The Broncos havent been playing that well as of late and those are still 2 places that are very touhg to win at. Mainly KC, rivalry games at this time of year, regardless of the teams records are tough, on the road. I think Jacksonville has run its course. They are a good team, but their remaining schedule works in our favor. To me the true problem is Baltimore. They have their offense has improved a bit over the past few weeks. I still think they will have a problem winning their next 2 games but I am concerned. If They win at least one of their last 3, then we're screwed. It is going to be a very, very interesting 3 weeks.
