I can recall last year at the Van Halen concert in Buffalo when Sammy Hagar came out on stage for his solo. He mentioned that Jim and Hunter were backstage, then he mentioned that Hunter was his hero and a tru inspiration. Sammy went on to dedicate his perfomance of Deeper Kind of Love/Eagles Fly to Hunter Kelly. I swear it was the most emotional moment I have ever experienced at a concert in my life. the love that was felt in the HSBC Arena at that moment was indescribeable. Hunter had an impact on the world well beyond his years and far beyond what anyone could have imagined.

Hunter was the ultimate example of courage and resilience. I cannot even fathom what Jim Kelly and his family are going through right now. Hunter should be a hero to us all.

I'm still stuck with a Rob Johnson and a Drew Bledsoe jersey! I think I'm going to avoid buying a Losman jersey cos I might jinx him! -

post 20,141 and going strong!

Its true, we won't have much luck until we win something. However, from a business standpoint, NFL films would be wise to release more Bills DVDs cos there's enough of a fanbase out there to make a few bucks of off em.

Probably not as much as I hate guys who nit pick spelling errors on an internet message board. Or guys who average 20 posts a day for the past 3 years, what exactly do you do with your time?

actually he died on August 9th, he was born on August 1st

Thats an excellent point. I've noticed that for every team in the league you can point to one moment in a season that just defined the whole season. That year it was that Moulds interception in the endzone when he had Travis Henry wide open coming out of the backfield. Last year you could either point to the Miami game or the St. Louis game, which is where our streak took off. For me, the Pittsburgh game last year defined Bledsoe's entire career. He can be on a team with everything else working for them but he'll find a way to F it up in the end!

Is it just me or do the Bills seem to get no respect from NFL films video department? I have searched through every available outlet for an extensive collection of Buiffalo Bills footage on NFl films DVD. So far the only one I can find is the Comeback DVD, which is cool, but we need more. I do remember NFL films doing a "Salute to Buffalo" which pops up on NFL network on occasion, along with a few other segments on Buffalo, but nothing on a grandscale. There are complete history 3-4 DVD stes of all these major teams like Miami, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Chicago and Dallas, all noteworthy and well deserving of a DVD tribute. But where are the Bills? I mean, this team has been around 45 years, won multiple AFL and AFC titles, not to mention having one of the most rabid fan bases in the universe!! Is anyone else as frustrated as I am on this one?

Ward officially begins holdout
lawnboy1977 replied to bartshan-83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats my thought on all of these holdouts. For instance in my current job I am subject to review every 6 months, as I'm sure is quite common in corporate life. What if I didn't like the way the review went and as a result I "held out" until a new review was completed. I would think I'd get fired! I wish I could just quit my job at any time if I don't like the review or the way the job goes, but alas I can't. Of course the good old American way is if you don't like your job, you don't quit. You just go in and do it half ass everyday. Well, at least according to Homer Simpson. Thanks Homer!! -
can't we just forward your subscription to his house?

Do they actually sell Holcomb jersey's?

Clements wants to stay in Buffalo!
lawnboy1977 replied to The Riddler's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's confident which is good for a CB, but bad for a GM trying to resign the guy. I think 9 times out of 10 any player who is going to become a free agent will say he wants to stay with his current team so not to upset anybody. If he said, "yea I'm the best and I'm gonna try and make as much $$ as possible after this year" I dont think that would go over very well with the rest of his team. Most likely scenario is that he doesn't sign and he gets tagged at the end of the year. -
yea 20,000, thats kind of unreal if you ask me

Bush's recess appointment
lawnboy1977 replied to lawnboy1977's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Regardless, as the article states it could a temporary appointment cos when congress comes back he will be under questioning. Also, the Dems arents the only ones against this nomination. -
Absolu-frigginf-lutely!!! I could Jets-Pats and Bills-Dolphins, but the other ones make no sense.

I'll admit I've said some things about W in the past about being an idiot, but I think this move changes my opinion a bit. This is one crafty move, its either his idea or he's got some lawyers reading the finer points of the constitution! Bush to Appoint Bolton on Recess

The whole thing with that is you see people on the right who go on tangenst and say horrible things, and the same on the left. But yet both sides say things and do things they say the other side shouldnt do. I think thats why I've aimed to being more centrist.

Its ludicrous to link this guy to other Baptists, just as it is ludicrous to link all Muslims to Al-queda or link all Irish to the IRA.

This made me just sick....
lawnboy1977 replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
In all seriousness though, what has happened in Northern Ireland over the past half century or so is just disgusting. I think many in this country don't realize the severity of the situation in that Dublin was probaly just as dangerous or even more so than places like Tel Aviv or anywehre along the Gaza Strip. Despite attempts by some on both sides, Irish, English and even US, to stop the madness, it never seemed to relent. What disturbs me is when most Americans refer to Muslims as terrorists and fail to understand what the Catholics and Protestants went through in Ireland. What is it about religion that drive some to these extremes? -

I'm against Bush and his policies as much as anyone, but how can you criticize the man for exercising too much? If anything I say he should promote the fact that he exercises a lot! I'd like to see Bush go to a fat camp and out run all the little chubby bastards on an obstacle course!
