  1. Maybe I just haven't noticed in past seasons, but this year seems to be taking a harder than normal toll on starting QBs in the NFL. Injuries have forced 11 teams to use 2 QBs to start games, while 5 of those have had to start 3 different QBs. And we are only about two thirds of the way through the regular season. BUF: Manuel, Lewis, Tuel CLE: Weeden, Hoyer, Campbell GBY: Rodgers, Wallace, Tolzien (named next weeks starter already) MIN: Ponder, Cassel, Freeman PHI: Vick, Foles, Barkley TEN: Locker, Fitzpatrick HOU: Schaub, Keenum JAC: Gabbert, Henne Oak: Pryor, Flynn CHI: Cutler, McCown STL: Bradford, Clemons
  2. I am assuming this was a typo, but this may very well be what a lot of Dolphins players are calling him.
  3. This story gets deeper every day. Now, Ireland (the Dolphins GM) was possible aware of the situation and his alleged response was for Martin to physically confront Incognito. http://profootballta...ito-physically/ Can't wait for tomorrows episode when it gets revealed that Gloria Estefan visited Martin in the hospital and was screaming at him to "Man the #$%^ up!" while squeezing his nuts in a vise-grip.
  4. He is signed through 2015. http://www.overtheca...n=CB&Team=Bills Also, how in the world do you include pretentious lyrics, yet ignore TJ Graham's continued ineptitude today?
  5. "Meaningful" and "big" are not the same thing. Almost every NFL game is "meaningful", even after a team is out of play off contention (coaches can evaluate talent, newer players get game experience, players who haven't gotten a chance before may be able to show they can play, etc). All 3 wins are against teams that are suspect themselves. The games were meaningful, but they were not big. Miami has lost 4 in a row now. Baltimore has only beaten the Browns, Texans, and Dolphins. Carolina has 4 wins, but against teams that have a combined 6 wins between all 4 of them. Miami was the biggest game so far (on the road and in their division), but Miami is not a good team. Big games are against good teams and the Bills haven't beaten a proven good team...until this Sunday.
  6. Here's a challenge for you. Of Manuel, Lewis, Flynn, and Tuel who *HAS* proven they can play in a big NFL game? No one, yet.
  7. I imagine that this article title is a little misleading and is an example of yet more sloppy journalism/editting in this country. It was more than likely hacked to point to a porn site by a 3rd party, rather than hacked by the porn site itself. But then again, in this day and age, people brag about breaking the law on Twitter and Facebook and stupidity is becoming the norm.
  8. I think I figured it out. Dixon is going to be brought up to fill the vacant roster spot. The Bills are going to employ a new version of the wishbone, with Tuel at QB, and Lewis, Flynn, and Dixon all in the backfield, spread out and lined up 5 yards behind Tuel. Tuel takes the snap and pitches to one of the other QBs to throw it down the field. KC is never going to know where to send the blitz. They keep tossing it to each other, behind the line of scrimmage until one of the 2 RBs/WRs get open. Bills 77 - KC 13. Hackett looks like a genius and is hired as Green Bays head coach next year.
  9. How exactly does a #4 QB get exposed? If anything, it's amazing that the Bills are getting the quality of play from him that they are. Here is a guy that 32 teams didn't even deem worthy to be a #2 QB in the league, which made him at the very most tied for being the 65th best NFL QB prospect (it's actually even lower, considering some teams had 3 QBs on their opening day roster). Thad was the fourth sting QB and considering that he is playing amazing. He has definitely showed enough to be a #2 somewhere after EJ comes back.
  10. Time to trade them Flynn for a #2 draft pick!
  11. I'm not arguing with getting rid of Crossman, but Carpenter has proven he does not have the leg to do this consistently. Buffalo is in the lower portion of the league for kickoff touchbacks. Don't you think he would be asked to do this every time if he could manage it?
  12. Rewind to 2011 when Clabo used an offer by the Bills to leverage an even better deal from Atlanta (can't fault him for this!). Clabo later gets cut by Atlanta in the 2013 off season. He signs a 1 year deal with Miami this year. He gets abused by Mario Williams in the 4th quarter today, giving up 2 sacks, 1 of which was the key turnover to put the Bills ahead. Would he have been a good addition to the Bills in 2011? Perhaps. Today, however, I am glad he wasn't signed because the Bills don't win this game without him.
  13. Pats lost and are 5-2, Bills are 3-4, Miami is 3-3.
  14. I got an indoor smoker/pressure cooker about 2 years ago and I would highly recommend it. It's not very big, but a full rack of baby back ribs can fit by cutting it in half. You can either smoke while it's cooking or cold smoke with it. http://www.amazon.com/Electric-Smoker--Pressure-Smoker-Cook-Brisket/dp/B005G6TQE4/ref=sr_1_3?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1382064920&sr=1-3&keywords=indoor+smokers
  15. I never mentioned a thing about opinions or rumors, nor said that he bothered me (to address Buftex comment). And of course his paycheck comes from the Bills. I am talking about confirmation of simple facts. In case you need a further example, it was a Philly beat writer who broke the Colin Brown release. The Bills need to throw Brown (the reporter) a bone once in awhile.
  16. What's the purpose of this guy? His title claims he is the "Lead Journalist" of the official Buffalo Bills website, yet I don't think he has ever once broken a story. It seems like he just searches the web to find what info has been found out by other sources, then writes a piece around it. He seems to be much more damage control than journalist. Here's a recent example: http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/10/13/report-fa-qb-matt-flynn-in-buffalo/ He sites a tweet from someone else who was at the airport when Matt Flynn landed. Brown doesn't add a single thing in his article to even suggest that Flynn is there for a workout with the Bills. Per Brown, "Reports of free agent QB Matt Flynn’s presence in Buffalo is fueling speculation that the Bills are looking for more alternatives at the position." Of course, they aren't going to include a journalist in any personnel discussions, but to keep a leash on him even after info is out there seems to lessen any credibility an official team reporter has. To not let him even affirm that Flynn was in for a workout? I guess you do have to hand it to the front office, as it appears they are pretty good at keeping their intentions secret.
  17. Hairston was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness list before the season and was done for the year at that time.
  18. Kiko has already had a pick 6 against Matt Schaub, despite never playing a down against him.
  19. Backup QB's usually have better chemistry with backup WR's, so while not having Stevie around to draw the #1 defensive back, Stevie's absence isn't game breaking. This game comes down to Hackett having drawn up a sensible game plan and how well Thad plays.
  20. Matt Flynn had a GREAT *game* too! And he's a free agent!
  21. Yeah, because Fitz, despite being a veteran, never threw INTs and Pick-6's, right? How soon people forget.
  22. Perception does not always equal reality. Out of the last 6 years, 2010 was the only year the season was over before October. 2012: On 10/14/12 the Bills were 3-3. 2011: On 10/30/11 the Bills were 5-2. 2010: Bills started out 0-8. 2009: On 10/25/09 the Bills were 3-4. 2008: On 10/19/08 the Bills were 5-1. 2007: On 11/11/07 the Bills were 5-4.
  23. http://college-football.si.com/2013/09/30/report-deloss-dodds-texas-athletic-director-to-step-down/?sct=hp_t2_a6&eref=sihp Announcement expected tomorrow, resignation effective Aug 2014. Hopefully this means that Mack Brown is out as football coach for next season. Brown seems like a great guy, but you don't want him near your football team anymore.
  24. How many winning NFL QBs start for 4 different NFL teams? I have nothing against Fitz and had high hopes when he got a contract extension with the Bills...then reality kicked in and there were a bunch of Sundays spent watching a QB who couldn't even pretend to throw over 15 yards. I truly feel bad for Titans fans, of a promising team, who now have to endure what we saw for much to long.
