Looks like everyone's settling down. Seems to have been keyed off of McGahee's running Spoke too soon. Ouch -

Agreed, we know he's going to get the ball, double him if we have to...he's going to get 300 yards today. D really needs to stop the Lions here. At least Spikes looks like he's moving OK. -

Jeez, JP just did the worst thing possible...he just lost three points. Let's see what Lindell can do. -

I don't know, he just made our D look awful....we couldn't stop a thing. McGee just made up for his bad play earlier -

Boy, I really have some respect for Parrish, he read JP getting flushed out, came back and then headed for the end zone. -

Jury's still out today, but JP kept his head about him on that TD. -

Great Job D....maybe they can build on this. -

Is this a replay of the Chicago game? I'm not usually this negative, but I don't see this team prepared and Losman has reverted back to last year's form. -

Ouch....Losman needs to get his throws out faster or the receivers are going to get killed. -

Why didn't we run on 2nd and 2? Forward fumble on the return for an extra 20 yards? There are clouds building here! -

I agree with you, I'm not sure why they went into the shotgun so early. They had plenty of time and the best thing to settle them down would have been to eat some time off the clock. Long game....long season! -
Not to make excuses, but at that point it looked like a downpour in the stadium, it could have affected the throw. I was trying to figure out why McGahee caught the last pass or two, but I've got to believe it was simply reflex catching the ball. I know it's trite, but get rid of the two Losman fumbles and this is a different game. Turnovers killed us more than anything else...even if you factor in some of the "odd" play calls.

Agree with the coaches getting a ball, as well as Denny. Whitner played well also, breaking up a few passes, to include the two-point conversion which would have given Miami a remote chance to win at the end.

Now will they give the Bills D credit or...
Saudi Arabia Rob replied to bluv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
CBS's guys didn't even mention Buffalo's play at all, just how Miami's reaction will be and how bad Culpepper was...not a shock. -
I have a feeling Willis will be getting some schooling from Studeville this week. He really is an "engage mouth before brain" kind of guy. I can't wait until he begins negotiating a contract extension in the press! Anyway, he is an upgrade to T. Henry. He hasn't smoked dope or picked up underage girls, yet!

Why not more Anthony Thomas?
Saudi Arabia Rob replied to SilverNRed's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It'll be interesting to see if A Thomas is used more next week. It did seem to me McGahee did a bit too much dancing in the backfield, vice the straight ahead running he did last year. He did seem faster this year than last. In the end, I would say McGahee is still the unquestioned money back. -
Bills lose 17-19!
Saudi Arabia Rob replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There were some positives. I think Losman has grown tremendously. Granted, he gave up the safety, but for the most part, he played a good game. Aside from dubious calls and non-calls, it seemed once the Pats shut down the running game, things seemed to fall apart. I think A. Thomas is going to wind up pushing McGahee in the next game or two. -

Just think how much the Panthers screwed up...they auditioned Reed, but decided to spend four million more and get Keyshawn Johnson. We snookered them! -
Federal judge rules NFL patdowns unconstitutional

This particular quote is apples and oranges. To fight against generations of discrimination is different than trying to stop a security patdown. -
Federal judge rules NFL patdowns unconstitutional
Saudi Arabia Rob replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My point is public events are clearly a targeting opportunity for terrorists. Whether they will do it or not is the job for intelligence to find out so we are forwarned. The NFL, for whatever reason, decided to institute checks. If the NFL is going to require security checks, they need to do things like put in metal detectors, etc, and dictate the game won't go on unless there are comprehesive screenings. These pat downs are a joke in the name of security. That is aside from the civil liberties arguments, which I understand, but disagree with in this case. If you are on the side of "stopping the erosion of civil liberties," then I'm going to assume when a terrorist attack occurs in a mall, stadium, or other public place, you will not sue a corporation, etc, when the postmortem takes place because they didn't take appropriate measures. Look at what happened after Sept 11 and the Victim's Fund. That was set up purely to stop the airlines, Port Authority, etc from being sued. To tie this back to the Bills, I remember getting patted down for years at Rich Stadium, but it was to stop bottles and cans from being brought in...no one seem to give a care back then. Not sure why this is different than it being an NFL mandate. -

I live in Tampa and the guy that brought the suit is a civics teacher at a local high school who's really proud of himself. My impression is security isn't even an issue here, his motive was simply to protest against anything dealing with terrorism security concerns. He brags to the local paper and teaches his class "civil disobedience," so you can get the picture. If the NFL was really serious about these pat downs, they would state no team could play if pat downs didn't occur, much like if you don't got through the medal detector at the airport. It'll never happen and the NFL is simply covering its butt in case something happens. Either the NFL needs to get serious and install medal detectors and make the search a necessary part of admittance...stated on the ticket...or simply drop these pat downs. They're going to get challenged in every area by the ACLU or some other red-diaper-doper-baby organization. -

I'm willing to give him a break, but I hope he can handle the press better than his predecessors. I know the Buffalo press isn't particularly bad, as it is in NY, Boston, or a couple other places, but keeping the fans happy is key. We don't have a 4 million person fan base here. -
why is the news so slow on jerry gray
Saudi Arabia Rob replied to Johnny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's clearly over here, but you've probably got to give him almost a pass for this past year. He lost some key players. I know a good DC would overcome the losses, but I think the fact our D Line absolutely sucked added dramatically to the drop off this year.
