How many kickers don't kick the ball when other teams call timeouts to freeze the kicker??? None. I just always see players stretch out and get high to block kicks....not dive and go low near the kickers legs.

When someone is trying to block a kick, whether punt or field goal, doesn't the player trying to make the block usually launch himself in the air to try and block the kick at it's highest point? Richard Sherman dove at Carpenters knees. I saw no attempt whatsoever to make a play to block a kick. He went low, not like he was trying to block a ball off a kickers foot.

Seriously? When teams freeze a kicker by calling a timeout, the kicker still follows through with the kick as to not hurt himself. Just like when a pitcher in baseball still throws a pitch when time is called after he starts his motion. Otherwise he is likely to injure himself if he holds up, as is a golfer in midswing.

I agree. They have been trying to right the ship too fast. It takes time, and most of these stop gap players aren't the answer.

Can't do it from my phone, but it is so obvious that he held up for a split sec, like he heard the whistle, then after the o-lineman waved an arm at him, he took off full speed again at Carp. Everyone gave up on the play, as he did for just a sec, but then figured he had a free shot and he took it. Don't know if it's just me, but I saw him hesitate and then make up his mind that he was gonna take a shot at Carp. Hope someone can post the slow-mo of that play.

Sherman slows up when he hears the whistle and everyone else gives up, but then he picks up speed and runs at Carp. He totally knew what he was doing. Guy is a scumbag. Trying to blame it on Carp still attempting the FG. Kickers always try the kick, even when the other coaches try to freeze them.
