Come on now, you are not stupid. For example, Scott McLellan was asked about the president's friendship with Delay, both being from Texas. McClellan's answer, "well, there are different levels of friendship." Now if you feed that statement through the new IBM Anti-B.S. Processor Series 400-b you get this response "do not associate the president with Delay's name."

EVERYONE HAS A BIASED WORLD VIEW!!!! Where in the world does there exist a is Mr. or Ms. Objective (sounds like a Saturday Night Live character). So, GIVEN my "biased world view" which you so artfully exposed, Delay is still a lunatic!! The Republicans are running away from that trainwreck. His ideology is scary as hell and it is now manifesting itself in legislation like the Constitution busting pieice of crap discussed above. Now, if he were just any other Rep. I would not be this worked up, but he is a part of the Republican leadership!

Fine, I will accept your characterizations of Byrd and Kennedy because I think it is fitting to group him in with a klansman and a murder.
-
he is worse because Kennedy's and Byrd's conduct are past acts of supidity and they have admitted they were stupid acts. Delay on the other hand is currently and actively acting as a hateful, fear-mongering, law-breaking, unethical, christian crusader who wants to stevestojan on the Constitution.

TH could run for 1500 for Philly.

ugh! this again? -
The Constitution empowers the President to enter into treaties upon the approval of the Senate. HOWEVER, once the treaty is entered into, it becomes enforceable law. The judiciary is empowered to interpret the law. There is also international common law (for lack of better words). There are many, many cases and a long tradition of Supreme Court cases concerning the "Law of Nations." Whether it be shipping, maritime, trade, etc.

nice one - but sadly quite possible.

Brad Reiter is great - especially when he and jermey white did a whole show on foods you can eat exclusively every day for a week without throwing up - that was hysterical! Oh yeah, last year he and Jeremy did a great job with the draft, starting in December! I say - Jello.
-
First, international law is a reality that can have binding effect (such as treaties), despite the wishes of xenophobes like Delay. It also can be used as persuasive (non binding) authority. Second, what F-ing century is Delay from? He is worked up because Kennedy does legal research on the internet? Every attorney under the age of 40 does their research using Westlaw or Lexis. I have not opened a court reporter since first year of law school. I think it is great that Kennedy has adjusted to the times (many older attorneys are intimidated by online research). Holy cripes, Delay is simply unhinged.

Travis Gump - perfect name! That is what I am calling him from now on! Bill, i disagree with all your PPP posts, but your posts in regards to Henry makes me think you have a bit of rationality left in you.
-
uhhhhhh . . . . You may be taking this a bit to seriously.
-
Perfectly put!

As a last result, if you can't stop it amongst your selves, legally, you could bring a claim for "nuisance." You can ask for an injunction to have him stop the behavior and possible damages (would be minimal).

lets be clear on those two years in an "extremely complicated offensive scheme." In those years we ran a "mini-Gilbride" system because our WR and QB could not get on the same page - a necessity in the hybrid-run-n-shoot Gilbride system. In those years, Henry routinely missed blocks, ran the wrong patterns, and accounted for a good portion of sacks. That system, from an RB perspective, was not nearly as compicated as Andy Reid's West Coast system. If you like losing battles you can continue to defend Henry's intelligence. Look, Henry is good if you tell him "get ball, and run here" and that is ALL you ask him (even then he will go the wrong way on occasion). He hits a hole harder than most backs in the league - but once you ask him toe exercise any kind of judgment, interpretation, or discretion you are in for a world of hurt.
-
Therein lies the problem. HEnry can't learn! He is one IQ point above retarded. If he gets traded to the Eagles they will have to seriously dumb down their West-Coast offense for him or else he will be on the bench. Henry is a stupid one dimensional RB who will look comical in a complicated offensive scheme.

Dude, that line was already taken on page 1:

Great Post! Juvinile, but great.

When I lived in London this bar was around the corner from my flat: Beach Blanket Babylon It was pretensious as all hell - but the women were F---ing hot! I was a novelty because I was a smart, educated, semi-good looking American. That made up for it. Made me a bit of a novelty.

In fantasy football I think they ahve it about right - it is about projecting what they will do in the coming season based upon last season. If Willis gets his speed back - those 20-30 yard runs will be 50-60 yard runs.

Hehe! My first post in these LOST threads was to posit the nuclear theory. The idea was immediatly called stupid by someone here and suggested to me to read all the episode summaries before posting. I still think it is plausible - but I still like the philosopher angle because it makes me sound more pretentious.

Dear 24, Worst episode ever! First, in episode 13 why does the Stealth fighter have air-to air missles!? It is common everyday knowldege that the stealth fighter does not carry such armaments! They teach that in the fourth grade now! Second, why didn't Air Force One use its counter-measures, such as flak? Everyone who is anyone has at least glanced at the specs for AIr FOrce One knows that it can evade several missles, much less one weak-ass missle from one plane. Third, the CTU that is depcited would never happen in real life! People are fraternizing with eachother, there are moles everywhere, and they are all too good looking!" This show is crap. I have not seen such poor writing since the travesty that was Battlestar Gallactica! You should consult with the departing writers from Star Trek - Frontiers. Now that is writing! Yours Truly, Comic book guy on Simpsons.

"There are peices falling to the Ground." - Chloe What a line to end the episode on. I still think Heller is involved. Time will tell. How else is the complicity of a large defense contractor explained. Maybe it will be revealed that the prez was going to approve vast weapon system cuts - hmmm.

YEp - finally Gore said something I argree with.

thank god we have a judiciary that is willing to stand up to, or as delay put it "thumb its nose at" the congress and the president. Maybe delay should take a gander at the COnstitution. Its called checks and balances. The judiciary is supposed to stop the COngress and executive from abusing power when they want to exercise their power at a whim and caprice.

LOL! No, I was not going to tell you to go post on that messege board. That would be hypocritical since I posted a long description of John Locke's (the philospher) theories of knowledge and reality.
