Ellen Maxwell is not only the best looking at Channel 4, but she is the best looking news babe in Buffalo. Robin Adams, while decent, is not in Ellen's league.

What if there is a "disease" outside the island that causes people to go insane - which would explain strange occurances on the island. Maybe the "others" are those who are infected. It is clear teh dude in the hatch was put there in the 1980's with all the pop culture images. The question is why and by who? Military? Maybe he was put there to study effects of biochemical agents - or to guard a ground-zero site of one of these weapons. Maybe the plan crashed after a testing of the weapon occurred?

[Entertainment] LOST discussion thread
slothrop replied to duey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I avoided it to - but I had a "Charlie" moment like he had with his addiction. I came very close to looking. Was my observation about 6 posts up regarding the monster/airplane noise old news, stupid, irrelevant, or what? Is there something there? -
[Entertainment] LOST discussion thread

ok, crucify me if this has been mentioned in the 32 pages of posts. I recently started viewing the DVD's of the first season. I remember from the first season us discussing the "mechanical" sound that the "monster" made. Well, while watching the first episode it is VERY CLEAR that the monster sound is the EXACT sounds that occurred while the plane was going down in the first episode! IN sum, the monster sounds = the airplane sounds. -
Holy Sh*t we lost a game! ARGH!!!!! Get real - this is the same staff that started 0-4 last year and rescued the team's psyche and figured things out. I think after one frickin' loss where the team's weaknesses were exposed this team can figure things out. By the way, I have yet to see an "intelligent or any other kind" of post from you. Look at last year. Were you complaining after we started winning? This is a very good coaching staff. The true test is can they motivate this team and help this team learn from its failures? Success is born in failure.

Why? just a hunch or something else? I see myself having this problem all year.

I think Jordan will be consistant all year, rushing for 70-100 yds and they seem to be using him in the passing game. (we get 1pt/rec). However, Jackson has the potential to run for 150 yds in a game and catch 5-8 balls for 50 yds. On the other hand MArtz may run the ball 10 times all game and throw 55 times. It is unpredictible. What do you all think?

I was only raising the point because it seems Buffalo has a pizza shop on almost every block. Another place is the small pizza shop on Allen St. called New York Pizza. Great NY style pizza with great service! I used to live on Elmwood between virginia and allen while I was in law school. One day on the week before finals during my first year of law school I got the most intense stomach flu! I was on my couch and could not get up. I picked up my phone, called New York Pizza, and asked if they would deliver bottled water. Not only did they do so, they delivered a case of it and did not charge me!

Most of the suggestions, outside mine and a few others, are not from Buffalo. They are from WNY, but not the city. In the city I am convinced that Casa di Pizza on Elmwood is the best. The different flavored crusts such as Garlic is the best!!!

Casa di Pizza on Elmwood Ave in Buffalo. The garlic crust is great!

Yep - Williams did not write this xenophobic sh*t.

WHOA!! 16 Players getting suspended?
slothrop replied to brihs2005's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This just went to everyone in my fantasy leagues. I am anxiously watching the waiver wires to see if anyone bites - I have some dumb people in my league. -
Off the top of my head the process of chosing a new Chief Justice is explained well in Woodward's book "The Brethren." It is an inside look into the Burger Court.

The Official "Syracuse Stinks" thread

From the college football board: I liked the defense - even though they could not tackle worth a damn in the first quarter. Wyche will be a monster this year at DE. But Patterson looked terrible at QB! I don't think he attempted a pass over 15 yds until the INT on the go route late in the third. It seems as though he is scared to go long because he is still learning the west coast offense. Moreover, his throws were all over the place. The offense has a long way to go. I think the two starting WR's had 4 catches between them last season. -
As some of you know, I am one of the most left-leaning voices here at PPP and I am a lawyer. Yet I support Roberts as Cheif Justice. First, it is traditional to appoint a newly appointed justice to cheif Justice. So appointing Roberts is not unusual. This is beacuse the Cheif Justice plays the role of facilitator. The idea is that justices who have been on the Court for many years have entrenched themselves into "camps" and would be less likely to broker compromises and cooperation (i.e. Scalia). Also, Robert's legal skill is undisputed. I have confidence in his legal ability. The way I see it Bush is going to appoint judges who lean way to the right. Roberts is about as rational as we are going to get. I am sure we will get a Scalia clone with the next appointment (if Bush has not lost too much political capital after Iraq and the New Orleans Debacle). So, all in all Roberts is about as good as we will get.

they are doind that because they don't want to lose profits by being kind. So they will present the image of being "socially-conscience" but not at their expence. I went to a Catholic wedding the the preist was saying how "sacrifice" and "love" are synonemous (sp?). Meaning that you can not have love without sacrifice, you must give to the larger good even if it mean sacrificing your own immediate wants. IN a realtionship the "larger good" is the marraige. He extrapolated this concept to the New ORleans situation and INternational Politics. Unfortunately it sounds as though your company is presenting the image of sacrifice without actually doing it.

To be fair to Dr. Z (who I think is the best football writer out there) many teams were hesitant to pick JP because of the concern over his arrogance. Most scouts agreed that his skills were on par or even better than Manning, Rivers, or Rothlesberger's but dropped JP on thier draftboard because of these questions.

There is A LOT of history, stories, innuendo, and hysteria over the role this website plays in local WNY politics. Check out buffalobeast.com and search for "Illuzi" (the Buffalo BEast is equally bad being mysogenistic and infintile.)

that is just echoing the criticism of JP coming out of the draft. He was known as very arrogant in a way that rubbed some teammates at Tulane the wrong way.
