As I said before, I like the official uniforms better.

I am an alumni (class of '97). I also grew up in Watertown and Syracuse Basketball is the biggest thing up there (along with lacrosse - the powell brothers came from Carthage). I think they will have a good team this year, but an even better year next year after Harris gets a season under his belt.

I agree, Penn is likely the best fighter out there. He unfortunatly gassed in the St. Pierre fight and he was injured in the Hughes fight. The submition he almost pulled off on Hughes was freaky - he may be the only human (other than Joyce Gracie in his prime) who could have done that.

I hate 20/20's John Stossel. He hates the legal system and lawyers because he sued the wrestler who slapped him around. Apparently he lost some of his hearing. A jury awarded him a whopping $500.00. Ever since then he has been on a vendetta against lawyers. His angst seems misplaced, wouldn't his anger be better directed towards professional wrestlers? The funny thing is, like the hysteria around the PS3, I will be waiting for the book store to open tomorrow so that I can start reading it right away.

If anyone shares my appreciation for Thomas Pynchon, he has a new book out entitled "Against the Day." I have read a few reviews and am very excited. I have already done some research on some of the historical events the novel mentions. One very cool event that I did not know about is called the Tunguska-event. I agree about Hughes and Penn. In fact, when GSP almost knocked him out at the end of the first I said to myself, "Jeez, the bell saved this lucky SOB again!." Luckily GSP was not injured like Penn was and able to finish the POS. BTW - I think Penn is better then either GSP or Hughes, but he is droping down to 155. He will rock that division.

I am a big GSP fan and I was so happy to see him desimate Hughes. I was hoping Monson would be able to take out Silvia, but the height differencial was just too much to overcome. I am looking forward to a Brandon Vera v. Tim Silvia match-up. Frank Mir is a shadow of his former self. When BJ Penn comes back from injury I also look to him to tear through the 155lbs. class.

I loved it with the music and how Obi Wan was trapped and helpless behind the "laser door" when Darth Maul killed Qui Gon. That was a great moment (maybe the only good one in that movie.)
