  1. That's why I would go with EJ. Let him backup Kolb till he is NFL ready.
  2. Only Marrone knows how high Nassib is worth taking.
  3. Why did'nt Nix re-sign Levitre and Byrd last year and trade them for a good draft pick if there price was too high? A good player like Levitre walks like other good players have.
  4. Kolb had 6 years to prove himself, still waiting
  5. The players complained that Lindy was too mean , so he backed off this year. They are too overpaid to give it there all. I could retire on 1 year of there pay. Miller does need a break from a better backup. Terry will get it right, it just will take him time.
  6. It is what it is, no matter what the fans think at least we have a NFL team. A new owner and stadium , leaves us with hope.
  7. I think Kolb is similar to Fitz but a lot more fragile . Let's see how he can do behind a good OL . It will be a interesting year with the draft and new coaching staff. I look forward to watching the new season. I do hope they do well.
  8. If Kolb does'nt have the potential to win the superbowl with a good team and stay healthy, then he is just a backup. After 6 years I would say backup.
  9. All we can do is draft a qb every year until we win the lottery. Sorta like Cleveland
  10. If Andy Reid did not keep Kolb in Phil or take him in KC that's not a good sign. Then his injury history. I think it puts us in salary cap trouble in 2014 with Fitz still a charge. We need to re-sign our good players this year or they could walk like Levitre. If Levitre would not sign an extension last year we could have traded him for a good draft pick at least. Fitz is worth $3.25 million a year, does'nt get hurt. Kolb might be worth just a little more, not double IMO (independent is cheap )
  11. How can we replace Levitre and Rhinehart or Kolb will be another expensive player on our IR list.
  12. The salary cap will be a problem in 2014 when we take ( a $7million? ) charge for Fitz with could be little roll over from 2013. Where do they find room to re-sign CJ, Wood and Byrd?
  13. The bills have cap room this year but not in 2014. So they can afford to take a few chances this year and see what happens.
  14. Tjax is fine until the rookie qb is ready with a good OL to give him time . Rebuild mode , new staff so no rush ,one last time.
  15. Be nice if someone very rich would build a dome like Arizona with natural grass (safer) that can be rolled outside. Concrete floor for other events. Need lots of space, more then downtown Buffalo. Warren Buffet Stadium sounds good to me.
  16. Dallas thought they had salary cap problems before the Romo deal
  17. That $17 million cap space is only good for the 2013 season. $10 million roll over from 2012 , then in 2014 a charge of $7 million for Fitz. If I understand it correctly.
  18. If EJ , Geno and Barkley are gone by 8, then Nassib in 2nd rd . Go all in 2014 if we strike out in 2013. We are in rebuild mode again.
  19. There's panic to get a qb for a lot of teams now.
  20. Philadelphia Eagles: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia This is not the surprise pick I promised on Twitter (@walterfootball), but I am going with Geno Smith to the Eagles. It's no secret Philadelphia has serious interest in Smith. Sal Paolantonio first spoke of it on 97.5 the Fanatic. "From what I'm hearing the Eagles are serous about Geno Smith and it's not a smokescreen. They're dead serious," he said. The Eagles then sent their entire contingent to West Virginia's Pro Day. I might as well capitalize ENTIRE because owner Jeffrey Lurie was there too. Lurie has only visited one draft prospect as the Eagles' head boss. That was Donovan McNabb. The Eagles' interest in Smith shouldn't be a surprise. They need a quarterback - the current starter will be around for only one year, while Nick Foles doesn't fit the offense - and Smith would be perfect in Chip Kelly's scheme. http://walterfootbal...m/draft2013.php Oakland could still take a QB rd1 , with Fylnn as insurance till rookie is ready. I don't think Drew Stafford will be the answer for AZ.
  21. So if the $10 million rollover is only good for 2013, just $7 million for draft picks, that leaves very little to re-sign CJ and Wood to longer higher contracts. If I understand this cap limit. I think Fitz counts $7 million yet in 2014. We don't have much room unless we cut more players.
  22. Kolb was making $12.8 million a year in AZ .Bill' s are not the only team to make mistakes at qb. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/6812979/arizona-cardinals-complete-trade-philadelphia-eagles-kevin-kolb
  23. Fylnn was a 7th rd pick in 2008. On March 18, 2012, Flynn signed a three-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks worth $19.5 million, with $10 million guaranteed. He's a unknown to me , with so little playing time. " Negatives: Has good accuracy in the short area, but does not have the arm strength to consistently air the ball out...Sometimes telegraphs throws, as he tends to pat it before throwing...Shows good mobility on the move, but is more of a straight-line runner who does not have the change-of-direction agility to quickly hit the cutback lane...Can make some of his deep throws, but those attempts lack velocity and zip to keep it away from the defenders.." http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles?id=367
  24. It's rebuild time, hopefully they get it right this time. Low expectations, mean less stress for the fans this year. With some of the moves already, Marrone now owns whatever happens next.
  25. Even Carson Palmer 33, $13 million could be on the market if he won't restructure. High paid backups this year.
