  1. I would not risk playing injured players, lets see what our back ups can do and get some experience. This is getting ready for next season, injuries ended this one already.
  2. EJ needs a good QB coach full time, not the OC like now.
  3. There's no pressure the rest of the season, we are not playoff bound. Just experiment and get ready for next season and get experience for depth positions.
  4. I still think EJ can be the franchise QB. There are key missing pieces , need healthy players and needed experience. If we make good draft choices in 2014 next season should be our turn around.
  5. If we are ok with EJ and have a high draft position, someone needing a qb will make us a good trade offer to move up.
  6. The Bills and Sabres are rebuilding, the most important thing is to make the good draft position count.
  7. Tuel is learning from his mistakes , I think he'll be a lot better by next season.
  8. Chris BrownLead JournalistEmail @ChrisBrownBills With the news that EJ Manuel has been fully cleared to play coming off his knee injury, Buffalo made a roster move Monday. The team released QB Matt Flynn and signed free agent FBEvan Rodriguez to their 53-man roster. Rodriguez (6’2” 239) was a former fourth-round pick of the Chicago Bears (2012). The Temple product appeared in 12 games for the Bears as a rookie last season playing mostly on special teams. He had four receptions for 21 yards. Released by Chicago this past June, Rodriguez spent training camp with Miami before being released prior to the regular season. Rodriguez was a two-time first-team All-MAC selection as a tight end for the Owls. He finished his college career with 69 receptions for 871 yards and seven touchdowns. Flynn spent just three weeks on Buffalo's roster following the knee injury suffered by EJ Manuel. He never appeared in a game for the Bills.
  9. Put knee braces and a flak jacket on EJ so he has to stay in the pocket till the end of this season.
  10. Good post, I agree, the Bills finally show potential.
  11. Graham is fast enough to be a DB next season.
  12. “I’ll tell you this, I think Doug (Marrone) is a heck of a coach,” said Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. “He’s got a great staff and I knew they had a great defense coming in. If not the best one we’ve played thus far, surely one of the best ones. So I knew everybody was going to have to contribute, both sides of the ball and special teams. Everybody did that.”
  13. We need OL help if we can't score from the 1 yd line and keep QB's and RB's in 1 piece. Getting everyone healthy would help a lot also.
  14. During the goal line pick 6, on TV it looked like SJ13 was the first Bill to see it happening. Did he try to pursue the KC player who made the int ? It looked like he just stood there frustrated. SJ would have had the best chance of making a tackle on that play.
  15. It's up to the OL to give who ever is QB enough time http://www.chron.com/sports/texans/article/On-Pro-Football-79-Oilers-provide-inspiration-1718156.php
  16. I would not risk playing Thad hurt , but in the future "Dan Pastorini was known as a tough quarterback throughout his career From 1971 through 1979, Pastorini missed only five regular season games, playing through broken ribs and even a punctured lung at times. He was the first player to wear the now ubiquitous "flak jacket "under his uniform to protect broken ribs. He did not play behind what would be considered a quality offensive line until 1977" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Pastorini If my memory is correct ,didn't he have someone hit him in the ribs with a baseball bat to show the jacket works ?
  17. I would like to see what Flynn can do once he knows the playbook. We should have looked at T Jax last season in a regular game.
  18. The one who drops the most passes might make a better CB.
  19. Another step in the right direction
  20. If Byrd plays great the last 8 games and wants to stay here, I could reconsider.
  21. If Byrd walks , it could be a compensatory 3rd , ok with me.
  22. EJ learned to run out of bounds. Thad is learning the hard way to protect the ball. Next season looks promising. Not sure at all about Flynn except he is very rich.
  23. The Daily News has learned that Jones, who has had numerous run-ins with the law during his career, made it clear that Nelson would face repercussions for what he perceived as dirty play even if it meant taking matters into his own hands off the field. “I’m going to find out where you live and come and get you,” Jones told Nelson, according to a source. Jones admitted to the Bengals’ official website that he jawed with Rex Ryan in the second half. "He told me to shut the hell up," Jones told Bengals.com. http://www.prosportsdaily.com/articles/pacman-jones-threatens-jets-david-nelson-im-going-to-find-out-where-you-live--272649.html Good for Rex
  24. "Jets David Nelson enjoyed breakout return against Patriots" http://www.metro.us/newyork/sports/nfl/2013/10/23/jets-david-nelson-enjoyed-breakout-return-against-patriots/
  25. Nelson had 8 catches for 80 yards against Bengals. 6'5'' , good hands, 26 yo ,healed, we should have kept him. Now we have to try and cover him when we play the Jets.
