  1. Even though abortion will stay legal in many states I just hope there is no violence because of this ruling. It will change voting in the mid terms and 2024 not just on the economy now.
  2. It gets confusing seeing video news from other states . It was uncomfortable for me at least to see open carry long guns outside the Republican Convention in 2016 , Cleveland when Trump was nominated. There were a lot of people with opposite views and guns visible. 'Open carry' gun law gives Cleveland a headache for Republican convention Toy guns and sharp-tipped umbrellas are banned from the vicinity of the event where Donald Trump will be nominated. Rifles, shotguns and pistols are not https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/jul/14/open-carry-gun-law-cleveland-republican-convention

  7. Gallup: Record low 25% of Americans have confidence in Supreme Court Confidence in the court among Democrats is down to 13%, Only 25% of independents have confidence in the court, down from 40% last year, and only 39% of Republicans are pleased https://www.cnn.com/2022/06/23/politics/supreme-court-gallup-poll/index.html
  8. New Tesla factories losing billions of dollars, Musk says Elon Musk says Tesla's new factories in Germany and the US are "losing billions of dollars" due to battery shortages and supply disruptions in China. The multi-billionaire also called the plants in Berlin and Austin, Texas "gigantic money furnaces". Covid-19 lockdowns in China this year, including in Shanghai where Tesla has a huge factory, have made it increasingly difficult for manufacturers to operate. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-61905276 Depending on China for vehicle batteries , computer chips , solar panels , windmills and everything else , bad idea. If the U.S. can't build it at least use a ally.
  9. Good idea Herschel , make D.C. a state and divide California in two makes 52 States.

  11. US exports even more oil as domestic gasoline and diesel prices spike January-May crude exports at all-time high; refined products exports back to pre-COVID levels Greg Miller Follow on TwitterTuesday, May 31, 2022 U.S. energy exports are booming at the very time domestic gasoline and diesel prices are at or near their peaks. With America’s fuel prices expected to rise even further, the “resource nationalism” debate — should we be exporting commodities we need? — is heating up. European imports from the U.S. were 1.27 million b/d in May, “a record high, accounting for 40% of all imported U.S. barrels, with volumes [favoring] the Netherlands, Spain and Italy. This has come at the expense of barrels into India, Canada and South Korea.” U.S. clean products exports are still overwhelmingly headed to Latin America. According to Kpler data, Latin America accounted for 2.15 million b/d, or 87%, of all U.S. seaborne imports to any destination in May. In November 2021, long before the recent price surge, 11 senators asked President Joe Biden to “consider all tools available at your disposal to lower U.S. gasoline prices … [including] a ban on crude oil exports.” https://www.freightwaves.com/news/us-exports-even-more-oil-as-domestic-gasoline-diesel-prices-spike Oil From U.S. Strategic Reserve Heads for Europe Amid Global Supply Crunch April 18, 2022 https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-04-18/texas-port-sends-strategic-u-s-oil-to-europe-amid-supply-crunch
  12. U.S. refiners to urge White House not to ban fuel exports -sources June 22, 2022 The United States is the world's biggest exporter of refined products, lately shipping a near-record of 6 million barrels per day of products including gasoline and diesel, according to federal data. Restricting exports could temporarily flood the U.S. market, lowering prices, but refiners could respond by reducing output. In 2015, The U.S. lifted a 40-year ban on crude oil exports that was put in place to help keep the country less dependent on the Middle East. In the last two years, the country has become a net exporter of crude oil and refined products, making it one of the most important players in global energy markets. “If refiners aren’t allowed to export, they’re just going to slow down production and cut the refinery utilization rate,” according to Bob Yawger, director of energy futures at Mizuho. Yawger said excess products would likely be sent into inventories, which are at multi-year lows. “Refiners would lose money on it and refiners are not a charity,” he added. https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/us-refiners-urge-white-house-not-ban-fuel-exports-sources-2022-06-22/
  13. Food prices push UK inflation to 40-year high of 9.1 percent The Bank of England says worse is yet to come as the UK records the highest inflation rate out of the G7 countries. German inflation hit another all-time high in May Consumer prices in the continent’s biggest economy jumped 8.7 percent from a year ago in May. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/6/22/food-prices-push-uk-inflation-to-40-year-high-of-9-1-percent
  14. Why the ruble recovered The main reason for the ruble's recovery is soaring commodity prices. After Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, already high oil and natural gas prices rose even further. "Commodity prices are currently sky-high, and even though there is a drop in the volume of Russian exports due to embargoes and sanctioning, the increase in commodity prices more than compensates for these drops," Tatiana Orlova, lead emerging markets economist at Oxford Economics, told CBS MoneyWatch recently. Russia is pulling in nearly $20 billion a month from energy exports. Since the end of March, many foreign buyers have complied with a demand to pay for energy in rubles, pushing up the currency's value. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/russia-ukraine-ruble-currency-russian-economy-2022/#:~:text=The main reason for the,gas prices rose even further.

  20. Elon Musk's transgender child looks to change name to cut all ties with father Musk's child, Xavier Alexander Musk, has asked for both a name change and a new birth certificate reflecting a new gender identity "Gender identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form," Musk's child gave as reasoning for the petition. Xavier Alexander Musk just recently turned 18 and has asked the court to recognize the gender change from male to female and to register a new name, according to court documents. The new name would be Vivian Jenna Wilson, taking the mother’s last name, TMZ reported.
